Ten of us enjoyed a super get together in the conservatory location on the 12th October repeating our last year's visit and once again not disappointed. A variation of appetisers and main courses were enjoyed by us all with a few enjoying the desserts who had the room to eat more. Service on the ball all night as expected and food quality up to expectation. Prices have risen since last year but still acceptable. We have already agreed to return in 2025.

I spent a night at the Castle on a short walking break with a friend. Being hungry after our walk we were early coming down to eat, but were taken straight to our table. I chose two starters and a portion of truffle fries, and everything was very good .The loaded hummus with fried sprouts did sound a bit eccentric, but was delicious….I’m vegetarian, and it was my favourite course of the meal, and very generous. The roasted beetroot, pear and goats cheese salad was good, and the fries really tasty. Being pretty full after all this I finished with an affogato and the mini doughnuts. On a busy Friday evening service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast next morning was good, a big bowl of granola, yogurt &fruit compote followed by poached egg on sourdough. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay with great food, and I hope to be back very soon.

Having called in to Tetbury, we needed a place for lunch. And what a find we made in Blue Zuccini. Tastefully decorated, together with an oldie worldly taste as well. Service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The coffee was excellent as well. A pit pricey, but well worth the experience. We were just travelling through, but can well recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Blue Zuccini.

During a 4 day visit to Bath this is the only food establishment we visited twice. The caretaker management are friendly and really helpful. We tried various cakes, pastries, teas and drinks and loved every mouthful. It’s not cheap but nothing in Bath is Total enjoyment. Try it for yourself

We ate the two course Christmas menu at the Folly on Wednesday evening and had a mixed experience. The food ( Turkey Christmas dinner) was reasonably good. Nicely cooked and presented ( though why they topped it off with a Yorkshire Pudding I don’t know). It was a good size portion with a good selection of traditional veg, a reasonable portion of Turkey breast and all the trimmings. Can’t find fault with that. But why oh why run out of Cranberry sauce when you are offering a Christmas menu ? The sweets (puddings) were very good , looked good and tasted fine though the Sauce on my Christmas Pudding was a bit watery. The Christmas decorations weren’t very exciting and didn’t run to table decorations. The 4 crackers on our table didn’t get us very excited. I also didn’t think having a quizz whilst we were eating added much to the Christmas atmosphere.Had we known it was quiz night we would have chosen another date. However our biggest criticism was the cost . The food was a bit expensive but we were happy to pay that. But the cost of drinks was outrageous, especially the wine. And at that price we did expect clean wine glasses. Sadly several of the glasses on our table were stained and one still had lipstick on it. We had to ask for clean glasses. So in summary . A reasonable attempt at a Christmas dinner but it didn’t really come off. Can’t say we would recommend this venue. Sorry.

Popped in to get some food to take away on a relatively quiet mid week morning. There were several free tables, it didn't seem particularly busy. Walked to the counter, none of the staff acknowledged or even looked at us for several minutes. I have never felt so invisible in my life! We were actually just about to walk out when we were finally served. I don't mind waiting, but surely eye contact and a 'hi, I'll be with you in just a minute' is just basic manners to be expected. Food was over priced too.

We went to The Ship for a family get together over the Christmas period. We were looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. This is a lovely place to meet up and the food is absolutely amazing. A big shout out to the chefs. We were looked after by Eddie who was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Thank you Eddie đź‘Ť. I would recommend The Ship to everyone and if I could give it more stars I would.

We are just so pleased that my wife's lost purse was handed in and the team at Beach House kept it safe and waited for it to be claimed. Good Karma goes a long way. Eternally grateful that my wife was reunited with a purse that has huge sentimental value.
