Finally, we tasted real pastry — and it was incredibly delicious! Da Bara St Mawes impressed us with its craftsmanship and quality of dishes. If you're strolling through St Mawes, be sure to visit this bakery. Not only do they have wonderful pastries, but the milkshake was also a hit with the kids. It's made with real ice cream, which gives it an extra special flavor. The experience left us with only the best impressions! 🥧

Stopped here for lunch after coming across to St Mawes on the Ferry from Falmouth. Superb food and drinks. Had a delicious BLT, amazing (the best I’ve ever had) almond croissant, cinnamon buns etc. Fab pork and bacon sausage roll and great hot chocolate. All served up by friendly host! Thoroughly recommend this place and was pleased to find Da Bara goods at the market in Falmouth a few days later.

We visited St Mawes ready for breakfast but the cafe we had in mind was closed (even though their website indicated they should be open). Luckily we found Da Bara Bakery which is also a cafe. Right on the water front. We received a very friendly greeting and this friendliness continued through our entire stay. I was going to have something off the menu but my wife spotted the daily specials. Cowboy beans with fried egg on sourdough was on offer. Never heard of them but took a punt. Essentially the cowboy beans are like chilli beans but without too much of a kick. The fried eggs were perfect. Top marks all round for the dish. The beans came in a separate bowl and there were so many I couldn't finish them. The pastries on offer looked excellent. My wife is a connoisseur of almond croissants and ordered one. It was rather large and tasted, according to her, fantastic. Highly recommended.

Barista was in Dreamland and rude. Used meat tongs on my vegan sandwich. Half the tables were out of use and it was only 5.30. like others ..closes at 7 or 7.30 ? Yet it was busy and we had to practically beg for seating. Milk was added to my tea without asking ..I hope she remembered id asked for dairy alternative. Using plastic cups for some proper cups for others as it was "close to closing time " Frappe was weak No cutlery provided and so unfriendly. Never returning.

This is a place we wanted to visit whilst we were in the locality mainly due to the Daphne Du Maurier book of the same name and the museum based there. The food and service were good and we were fortunate to arrive there when they had some live entertainment on in the bar which added to the overall experience. The food is reasonably priced for what is as much a tourist attraction as it is a pub and restaurant. The pub itself is a great place full of history as well as having great views over the moors. The museum is well worth a visit if you are interested in Du Maurier and the inns past. The pub is dog friendly although they can't go in the restaurant area. We had no problems getting getting a table however we would imagine the place gets very busy in high season. There was a large car park which looked like it could accommodate a fair number of vehicles but, as above, is probably full to brimming in the high season.

Good for football and good bartenders but for nights out just not good. The dj plays the same playlist every weekend and doesn't listen to anyone's recomendation for songs. The dancefloor is usually empty except new years.
