A lovely tea hut run by lovely people. The team are super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Other establishments should take a leaf out of their book. The toastie’s are to die for only problem packed full of ingredients so you cannot eat without getting all over you. However no complaints about the food. The drinks are good quality and new hot chocolates look amazing. This is a lovely hut. Run by lovely people in a lush setting.

We wanted a quick snack during a visit to Beer whilst we were on holiday and saw a sign for crab sandwiches at Chapples at the beach. We wandered down and ordered two and also drinks. The man who served us said they were the best crab sandwiches around there and he was right ! We thought our favourite place in Norfolk was good when we go for a day trip but Chapples were even better. (I told them our favourite place has been demoted to number two, now !) We had friendly service and can definitely recommend the crab sandwiches. It was a no brainer when we saw the sign for them.

We were very pleased with our panini from Chapples on Beer beach. . It was served with attractive garnish and tasted amazing. The weather wasn’t brilliant for our visit so a good cup of fresh tea went down rather well too.

We enjoyed a jacket potato and toasted sandwich together with tea and coffee. How fantastic to have tables right on the beach. It was a warm and sunny day so the cafe was busy but we weren't kept waiting. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, would definitely recommend.

Cold tea and coffees, plastic in my crab sandwich, all for £41 for the 3 of us. Never again! Stay away. The only thing going for this place is the location.

Fantastic location, always a table available when we visited. All tables have brollys so you can shelter from the sun. The coffee is excellent. Had their lovely toasted teacake which is served with 3 butter pats, appreciated by a butter lover. Service is friendly, but on two occasions we had to queue, once for 25 mins! Service speed could be improved, maybe by offering instant coffee as an option. I did notice some kids buying ice-cream in cones, but thought the ball of ice-cream was quite small but didn't notice the price so may have been a kids portion.

Cheap food thats straight out of Iceland. Had a pasty, which cost a fiver, it was horrible and did not resemble a good old Devon or Cornish pasty one might expect. You will get parted from your money here for poor food thats at a premium price. So sad been going here since my children were young a legend of a place has gone totally down hill

Everything at the beach was fine, beautiful water, nice and quiet, until me and my sister forgot a fork! So bad right?! And so, me, despite having severe issues talking in public decide to ask this store for 2 forks, I said: “Sorry for asking, but do you have forks?” And this old-looking man rudely looked at me up and down like I should question what I said before replying ‘yes’, nothing else. “Can I please borrow 2? Me and my sister forgot some, sorry for asking if you can not” And he replied “for your own food? You did not buy any food from us, and you ask me to give you a fork?” In such a rude and humiliating way, just for me asking for a bloody wooden fork, and also judging I brought my own food, as last time, we brought 2 ice creams that were terribly scooped once that it could fall off the cone if you licked it, and an around 10cm cup of coffee for £11.50?? So I’m sorry that I prefer to save money then spend it on a shop with rude and terrible staff. Only nice one was the young-lady.

We popped to Beer to see the last of the summer sun but found that our usual cafe was closed, not to worry we'll try a different breakfast instead. Unfortunately Chapples was the next breakfast available, after queueing for 20+ minutes we were informed that there were no chips available, bearing in mind that this was less than 45 minutes after they'd opened for the day. We were then informed that our breakfasts were the last breakfasts that they were serving today. Again, within 45 minutes of opening. Once ordered the breakfasts (and substitutes) were very quick to arrive and pretty decent, however the difference between a large and a small breakfast seemed nonexistent in all but price. It didn't affect our meals but the 20+ minute queue quickly dissipated once news of no breakfasts spread. As a business they must've lost some serious business today.

Came here for snacks and drinks followed by ice creams. Service for snacks and drinks were excellent. I then returned to purchase ice creams where a very pleasant blonde girl with glasses was serving and doing a lovely job, a short older man came in and complained that her ice creams were to big so that customers could hear. She obviously knew the young lads she was serving and was immediately embarrassed by the comment that was made. He was obviously the owner but he needs to polish up his management skills as you shouldn’t speak to staff like that especially in front of customers. It was in very poor taste and if it had been a child of mine i wouldn’t let them return to work there. It’s tantamount to bullying.

We we attracted by the really good signs leading us to them. Often a ‘sign’ of a good business. We had two crab sandwiches and cans of drink. Mine was on white bread - standard supermarket sliced stuff, which was disappointing. My crab also had four crunchy bits that I couldn’t eat. The service was good, the setting (clearly) was wonderful but the sandwich was not.

The smallest, meanest Ice Cream I have ever had. £2.70 for a tub in which the old man, who I presume is the owner spread out the least amount of Ice Cream he could get away with. It was as light as a feather and when I pushed it back together from its spread out shape it was about the size of a golf ball. Won’t be returning in a hurry, lots of other better places to take my custom, and I’m local.

Visited for breakfast this morning and was served by a lovely lady and younger man making drinks all very pleasant and professional, when a short older man came in and spoke in a condescending way to the two servers for which I thought there was no need. They were doing a marvellous job making sure everyone was served quickly and efficiently and the queue kept to a minimum. The food was lovely, the drinks were perfect. In fact everything was brilliant except for the unpleasant man who obviously suffered from small man syndrome 🤣

We have just come home from an evening at chapels beach hut. What can we say an absolute delight. The good was hot plentiful and very tasty, we had beef and coleslaw, salad in a baguette along with chips. Sat on the beach with all other families enjoying the summer sun, lovely evening. We don’t usually go for this type of venture as usually go to the pub. I had the chef what was in next Sunday. I would say this beach hut is the best in the beach by far and a lovely couple

The young lady serving us didn't tell me and my friend which drink was which. And the toilets aren't up to the health and safety standards. The tap was falling apart and no water was coming out of the tap and no toilet roll! Disgusting! You'd think especially after COVID times everywhere would be much cleaner. Makes you think how clean the place is and the hygiene of the staff making and preparing food and drink.
