Wasn’t bad, had the panini maybe would have tested better if it was buttered & I also ordered just cheese as an option so maybe because I asked for no ham or tomato they should of affected Exeter cheese

Arrived early into Honiton and felt peckish for some breakfast. I spotted the Star Inn which opens at 8am and found myself a cosy table by a window and ordered the full English. Ok, it’s a Spooners I thought to myself and didn’t expect the world. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The young lady that took my order at 9am and served me was very welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. The breakfast arrived promptly after helping myself to the endless designer coffee from the machine included. The breakfast was hot, fresh and very enjoyable. Even the toast with proper butter was very lovely. All in a clean, relaxed, comfortable large dining area and most importantly, super value for money. Keep up the good work!

Good value, and great for families looking for an easy-going dinner

The staff were all very attentive. We were 16 in all and all the dishes were brought out together. It was curry club night and the vindaloo was just as it should be very hot 🥵 🙂

We regularly use this ‘spooners’ pub which offers great value for money food and drinks in a pleasant environment. I really wanted to congratulate and praise the Pub Manager (sorry I didn’t get your name, but did compliment you in person!) for his excellent customer service for the way he dealt with a problem one of our party had with his meal this evening (7th August). He was very professional and courteous, very well done!

Ordered a traditional breakfast and a breakfast wrap along with two coffee's. Bar staff helpful and pub nice

The breakfast was cold when I came here. The bacon was so charred I could taste the crumbs from the cooker. The eggs had a full on river with them don’t buy

We had an excellent breakfast at The Star Inn and thought it was tasty, well presented and very reasonable value for money. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was good to see that in addition to an impressive indoor environment there was a large number of tables outside too. As we were travelling, it was particularly convenient to have a public car park directly next door. We will call in again when next in the area.

We had a lovely cooked English breakfast here. The food was great, came quickly after being ordered and the general feel of the pub was lovely.

Good old wetherspoon's does exactly what it does! No pretense, no delusions just a cracking brekky, cheap pints and unlimited coffee, perfect!

Nice place but drinks where tipped away when went outside and was refused new ones and refused a refund on the 22nd around 12:30 at night we lost 3 pints od budweiser and a single dissorano and coke. Not very pleased

Large ground floor pub, straight off the street- a 5' walk from the very centre of Honiton. Can be quite quiet but at supper-time it's a great place to be for atmosphere. Staff are super-friendly and helpful. We went with a group of 9 and were able to secure tables without booking. A big bar area with all the drinks and spirits you can imagine.

Lovely inviting pub, we stopped off on our way to Torquay. Enjoyed it that much, we also stopped on our return journey back. Food was very nice and didn't have to wait long at all.

One of the worse! Yes WORSE Wetherspoons I’ve ever been to! All staff have got a CBA (can’t be asked) attitude, no manners what so ever, none of them are even happy about their job! The burger tasted off and the chips was chewy! Never bothered mentioning it to the staff didn’t want to feel more depressed with this place than I was! Would NOT recommend to anyone!

Maybe one of my favourite WeatherSpoons... Still amazing service, but lovely staff.... The double gin within the meal deal for £8 ish. And decent chicken burger... Also we'll. Looked after toilets that looks cool still...

Does everything you'd expect a spoons to do, decent food, cheap drinks nice atmosphere. Edit, 9.05.24, still agree with the above however just witnessed a member of staff being very rude to a customer who hadn't realised she was in a smoking area, rather than asking her nicely to move they were very rude and aggressive.. Not a nice experience for her or the families he was trying to protect from her tiny bit of smoke. A quiet polite word would have done, maybe send your management on a refresher course in customer service!

I agreed to meet someone there because she worked there but unfortunately she hurt herself at work and was off work until it got better ,so invited her for a coffee and she got told to leave has she was off work ,I think that is so unfair and not kind I won't be going back there again has its not a very nice place and they don't listen to what you order for food either .

Not the best wetherspoons But good value.

You know what you're getting with Wetherspoons, which is why we keep going back. Amazing breakfasts, including black pudding, and a free drink for less than £6, and the opportunity to get a pint if you so wish. What more could you wish for? Well, actually, I don't want alcohol at 10am, so perhaps there's a non alcoholic beer instead? There's not one, but nine different types of 0% alcohol beers and ciders, not to mention alcohol free wine. The food portions are enormous, and tasty and there are plenty of condiments to go with them. Staff are friendly, competent and efficient, and just get on with serving you quickly. For a large chain that clearly uses the low price high turnover business model, meaning everything saved is passed to the customer, for me it ticks all the boxes. If I was to ask for one improvement, it would be to sell pork scratchings, to go with my non alcoholic pint. Thanks Wetherspoons, you're great!

Surprisingly good food considering how cheap it is. The service is fast and friendly. Good verity on the menu and every drink you can think of is available 😉

There at around 1pm . Food not hot. And one meal missing from order. Ordered at the bar by two of us and did ask if the order was for 4 meals.

Had an enjoyable meal with a tasty beer.

It's a shame what was good is not could not go wrong with their burgers but the burger has been replaced with a cheap catering burger tasteless not been in for 6 months it's not the same tasted like cardboard how do you f up a burger chips were decent £4.50 a portion mental won't be coming back

They've hired a manager who acts by exerting her authority. Unfortunately, we live in a world based on being reasonable, and having to deal with an unreasonable and emotionally volatile manager, who bans people on her own nonsensical whims is neither a good look for the company or the location.

Good pub with friendly staff and the beer garden is great in the summer.

Dont be a happy bunny or you will be band. Rude an over worked staff. Foods ok depending how you catch it. Service is pass able if you are miserable don't wear a hat or give your opinion defiantly don't smile or be happy.

This is a nice Spoons, very clean and tidy compared to some we have been in. The staff were polite and friendly, but how can they serve a congealed lump of dry porridge and think it's okay?! Even I can cook porridge and that's saying something!

Ordered a meal for all the family and paid for this. Immediately, realised that the meals come with free drinks, so asked for the drinks just to be told the ticket had already gone through and if we wanted drinks we would have to pay for them. Hadn’t even left the bar. Very poor. Will not be going back there again.

It's a weatherspoons dont expect much. Certainly dont expect it to be clean or for the portions to fill you up but then...we all over eat.

It's a Wetherspoons. You get what you paid for. Although saying that, they had run out of the large fish and offered me an alternative, which I was happy with. My daughter ordered bacon and cheese with her burger which didn't arrive until I told them it was missing. And her dessert had the chocolate sauce missing, which we just let slide. I'd still go back though.

Without doubt the poorest level of customer service and hospitality I have witnessed in a regular country used by myself business. A mistake on the Weatherspoons app that placed my order to a venue in Tiverton, then the staff refusing to help me rectify this for a refund or simply providing the correctly wanted meal at the Star Inn as it should have been., the staff member checked with the Manager who informed me to call the venue in Tiverton myself to see if a refund can be done.I was unable informed it is highly unlikely I will get a refund as it was MY MISTAKE?? No effort made by the staff members at the Star Inn, when the food was served the lady manager concerned was abrupt and literally through the food on the table, and no point had myself or my partner been anything but polite. The app has played up many times on my device and at last I have removed it as it’s never getting the location 100% correct even on the latest Iphone Device. Weatherspoons App policy and procedures does not protect customers who use the app.

Rough and noisy pub. Dirty tables. Don't bother ordering food ,it's terrible go across the road to the chippy. Staff unhelpful.

One of the best spoons I've been in. Actually had ample staff. Nearby council car park was expensive, but spoons prices made up for the extra cost. I'm disabled and access was possible but not the best 👍

Great food and drinks and lovely atmosphere

It's a wetherspoons so food same as all the others and also toilets upstairs. The reason I marked it down was it had an amazing garden but no dogs allowed, this needs to be looked at.

Well, we stopped off in Honiton as part of a journey from Plymouth to London. But apparently Honiton is closed on a Sunday. A very kind landlady in one of the pubs in the high street explained they only do Sunday roasts but recommended the Wetherspoon pub. We sat outside The Star Inn in the garden which is a nice sun trap. The Wetherspoon app worked well (which is more than many other pubs) the food arrived quickly and was tasty. We left Honiton with a mental note to try another of the towns on the A303 for our next trip.

Usual value in a very pleasant venue. Still a very nice, very reasonable menu at good prices. You know what you're getting and how much.

Relaxing time had by both of us

Nice place, well laid out with friendly staff. Pretty standard Wetherspoons fare, nothing spectacular but you know you're getting what you paid for promptly and with no fuss. Some disabled parking right outside and normal parking within easy distance.

I don't understand how they can fix this for such a low price. Breakfast is super the coffee lovely and you can get a free refill. Dinner was also great for that price. Steak delicious. Chicken strips on bun better and cheaper than Mc donalds

Service was good but the food offering was dire. Half the menu was unavailable and the half that was tasted nasty

my boyfriend ordered a QUORN nugget wrap and they came out with a southern fried chicken wrap which btw is the TOTAL opposite . we brought this up and they weren’t even sure themselves. it was clearly chicken and tasted like chicken (i tried before my bf tried to eat it) it also had a spicy sauce which was described on the menu for southern fried chicken wrap, however the quorn wrap isn’t spicy. They gave us a new meal and this time i could tell this one was quorn as it was shaped like nuggets this time, had a sweet sauce and was not spicy. we asked for a refund, the arrogant waitress argued with us and told us that she opened it up in the kitchen and still said it was “quorn”. i’m sorry but the audacity to argue with customers and lie to their face?!?! this place needs to know the difference between quorn and real chicken before you try giving a vegetarian chicken and lying to customers !!!

Solid Wetherspoons pub, exactly what you would expect with good service.

Went here after returning from holiday for no fuss food. It was moderately busy for mid week. Table was sticky with spilt drink. Nobody was cleaning up after customers. Waited 40 mins for ordered food to arrive. My steak was undercooked served on a cold plate with barely warm chips. They forgot to bring the side salad I'd ordered, so had to chase that up. My husband got chips instead of potatoes he'd asked for and they didn't bring his side of peas. He said at least the beer was fresh and not overpriced.

Absolutely shocking good was as dire as the service. The waiter ( if you could call him that) got a right Wendy on because i had the audacity to ask why my food was taking so long the people sat next to us arrived 20 mins after we did and was served before us. When the food finally came out it was wrong. Rhe tablenext to us ordered medium stake and it came out still mooing sent it back and I'm pretty sure same stake came back ( still mooing).

All fairly good for the price but WHY CAN NO WETHERSPOONS EVER SERVE HOT FOOD???? Nearly always has to go back because it's only luke warm. Thus is infuriating if 2 of you are waiting fir food to be re-cooked/heated if the other person's is ok so they start & have nearly finished by the time the other food comes back!!!! Oh & WHY are the loos up do many stairs in every place??? Waiting fir staff to get/find the radar key when your 5 year old needs the loo is infuriating so you tramp up & down the stairs hoping you make it in time - sometimes twice during a meal!!!! Make it more family friendly - PLEASE!

Can't comment on food, service or anything really, because as soon as they realised we'd entered their garden with our small, quiet dog, we were basically thrown out. Felt like pariahs! I definitely respect that dogs are not always allowed inside pubs, but was astonished to find Wetherspoons don't even let dogs in their pub gardens. In fact, their website states they don't let dogs on outside spaces they manage either, including pavements! Have never felt so unwelcome in a pub. Judging by some of the terrible reviews here, it doesn't look like we missed much, fortunately. We went on to the dog friendly Three Tuns round the corner and enjoyed a pleasant lunch with our little dog tucked invisibly under the table. She's far less trouble than some humans!

Lovely pub clean and comfortable nice modern vibe and excellent beer garden, you wouldn't know it was a spoons apart from the generic food offering (which was however perfectly fine). Friendly helpful staff made for a pleasant visit also a good range of local drinks for a very reasonable £2.46!

Popped in today for lunch with my parents. Not very busy but ordered on the app. Three meals + drinks. Food took 25 minutes to come out, chips were lukewarm at best. The lady apologised for the wait for food and seemed to think that was everything. I had to ask when our drinks would be with us. Mine and my dads Pepsi were around 60% ice. I know Wetherspoons is cheap and cheerful but this took the mickey. A real shame as I’ve been for breakfast previously and despite being busier at that time service and food was much better. Won’t be rushing back!
