Waterside Grill in Torbay

Ordered from waterside grill on our last evening in Goodrington sands and we were not disappointed. The chicken and shish combo was absolutely delicious, the meat was tender and salad was very fresh. Highly recommend!!!

Decided to order here after the local hotel franchise restaurant turned out to be awful. Food delivered to our hotel was fresher, hotter and better value than the restaurant at out hotel. Never had takeout chips so hot and crisp! Well done Waterside Grill.

Very quick delivery, delivery driver really lovely, forgot something on the order and got it to us very quickly. Food always very nice. Thankyou

Awful kebab and really small portions! Ordered a large doner with everything on it with coleslaw, with garlic sauce! No coleslaw at all.. no onion, no tomato or cucumber and they forgotten the garlic sauce… So kebab and lettuce!! And the worst thing you can do to a kebab is not toast the pita… Guess what… soggy soft pita.. They forgot to toast it.. Absolute amateurs! Also ordered chips and got about 10 chips!! Won’t be back

We ordered a delivery this evening after giving the place a bit of a miss for a while due to poor service and bad food. We thought we would give them that one last chance to be again disappointed with the order wrong. When we called in there was no apologise just the usual rude lady saying can you not scrape it off. After finally agreeing to send out a replacement (after saying they want the old order back 😂) it took an hour to send out. You would think we had done wrong. Need to sort out food and also the rude later needs to learn some customer service skills. That’s us done

Always holiday in Goodrington and always have a kebab from here; tasty and fresh with good portion sizes and lovely chilli sauce. We have the chicken and lamb shish and it never disappoints.

This is by far the best kebab I have had so far in the bay. It is fresh, hot, the portion size is very generous so is good value for money. My only gripe is that there is nearly always a long delivery time, maybe better to collect your order. Pizzas are good but the quality does vary significantly, this is possibly down to the member of staff that makes it???? My son loves the burgers but cannot stand the ketchup as he says its very cheap, tastes vinegary and they put too much on which ruins the burger.

This place never fails to deliver perfect kebabs time & time again, I highly recommend the lamb shish meat is so tender and this is why it’s always my first choice for a takeaway kebab Thankyou.

Friendly staff, quality food and a nice atmosphere - this is a great place to meet friends, have a family meal, or just have a pint after work.The place is known for steaks, but the burger selection is my go to. The portion sizes are very generous, and the food quality is top notch.The waiting staff were great. On our last visit, we were served by a girl named Ryanna. Not only was she very friendly and punctual in serving us, but she also seemed to take great interest in our experience, and made us feel welcomed and looked after.Definitely would go again, and strongly recommend.

Had a lamb and chicken shish and my wife had a cheeseburger 1/4er and chips - she loved them both. Delivered to us early - excellent all round experience will definitely be using them again

The food was fine. The table service and table staff were fine. The land lady/Manager is a disgrace. No manners. No people skills. Will serve locals before the out of towners yet tourists are her bread and butter. She is the most ignorant person I have come across in a long time. There are much better pubs with better service within a mile.

We have been visiting for years and never had a bad kebab. Good variety of salad. Menu is what you expect from a kebab shop. Always really tasty. I believe they deliver but we all call in the shop.

We went to this place after reading reviews as it looked recommended and it was very tasty. I would highly recommend the small donor kebab wrap with salad. They also give very good portion sizes so if you want a large its going to be very large.

There seems to be lots of confusion on this place regarding reviews. This is the waterside grill, which is a takeaway. The waterside inn is the flaming grill pub opposite.

Meat was poor no taste just salt! Go somewhere else avoid! Mean portion sizes at best ordered large got small! The pita did not even fill poly box never mind meat content! disgusting rip off!

Went to waterside grill last night and used justeat app. The takeaway wouldn't allow me to buy just a donna kebab as the app made me add a desert that I didn't want in order to add a donna to my order. The food order was ready 15 minutes before I had selected it to be ready and when I collected it and drove off I could tell.it was cold. In fact freezing not just cold.

When visiting this area, I always want to go here. Lovely atmosphere and food is of the highest quality. Staff are friendly & helpful.Worth popping in for a cup of tea and a lovely home made cake or ideally a large white wine!

Visit here quite alot as it is our local, always busy and great food at a great price. Staff are all lovely, steaks are cooked great. Cant fault it.

We came here on a Monday evening, as they had a special on for 8oz steaks for £5. There were four of us and so we ordered the steaks and drinks. It was extremely busy and we were told, a number of times, that there was a 45-55 minute wait. We were quite happy with this, as we were not in any rush. The food came about 45 minutes later and all of the steaks were cooked perfectly. Could not fault it at all. Highly recommended.

This place is ok for something quick and easy to eat, it’s a very broad menu with fair pricing. It does have large tv screens for football but also is a family environment

Four of us came to watch the first England game and to have dinner, we sat on a tall table and after we had ordered food we had got asked to move due to a error in the staff not reserving it, obviously we were disappointed as we got there early to get good seats. The reason why this is a 5 star review is because James the member of staff there did his best to ensure we had a great visit, he was very polite and apologetic and went out of his way to find us a replacement table to enjoy our meals and also have a great view of the football i could not fault his customer service. Thank you James!

Beautiful day so decided to visit The Waterside Grill and dine el fresco. A great range of meals at very good prices. I and my friend both plumped for the Steak & Ale Pie which came with either chip's or mash, pea's and a pot of gravy.

Came with friends, wanted cheap and cheerful. Decor tired and despite it not being very busy, it was not the cleanest of places with dirty tables being left for ages. We ended up cleaning own table because it was quicker than waiting for someone to come and clean it. Was going to order chicken burger, as was husband. Decided to order 'Mother Clucker Challenge' and share as it worked out cheaper. It was OK, though the only challenge part (if one of us had ordered it as a challenge) would have been the amount of bread. It is served on a whole brioche loaf and is really thick. It was OK for what it.

A year ago this was a fab place to visit and eat..The staff were great and the food was top notch...any problems were resolved immediately. .we holiday in this area many times in a year but we went in last summer and the food was dreadful...overcooked/ things they didn't have in stock missing off your plate/some items on plate cold/ long faced staff who barely spoke to you.....we have tried it 4 times since our bad experience but unfortunately no better...was such a great place to eat!!

Went to watch the 6 nations whilst at Beverley Park. Food looked great. Atmosphere was lively, yet pleasant. Would see about eating next time

First visit to the Waterside. Friendly enough but decor a bit tired. Tables sticky. Food quite good for this type of establishment. Probably, won't visit again.

I've been to the Waterside a few times as i pass by regularly. I have never eaten there so can not comment on the food, but, i've had a few pints in there so here's my gripe!

A table of 7 of us, went here last night, and after reading recent poor reviews, I was a bit apprehensive, but can honestly say the service and the food was very good..

Food was ok sonce it arrived although we had been waiting an hour for it, they said they where busy, but it never looked busy, good thing for us was they where dog friendly so that was very helpful for us to take dog into bar area

Spending a weekend in Devon my husband & I decided visit here. We weren't disappointed after enjoying a lovely steak meal along with a bottle of red wine. The service was good & the staff were friendly.

Waited over an hour for 2 cold kebabs and a portion of cold chips and paid £18.50 which is not cheap especially if you cannot eat it, emailed waterside but no reply.

Food was adequate, service was slow and unfriendly. After our meal we waited 35 mins for our plates to be cleared and then they were only cleared when we asked while ordering coffee. Although there coffee machine was broken so we went elsewhere.

Really enjoyed our meal worth waiting for freshly cooked food especially during busier hours. Compliments to the chef. Far better than beefeater. Very friendly service. Definitely recommended.

My girlfriend and I eat here probably once a week and I've always given great feedback. This review is based on my last THREE experiences. I'm only writing this so management can see and act (hopefully)

This is a review of the kebab shop and not the pub across the road.. Best kebab in torbay... ! Sometimes they don't answer the phone.. but keep calling as when they do answer and make you a kebab it will be proper nice!

The Flaming Grill was a busy spot midweek for dinner. The choice on offer was extensive, but the food quality varied. The wings were fine, and scampi ok (though a bit short on scampi) but the salad was a little lacking in salad - primarily rice. Prices were a little higher than expected. Staff were helpful, courteous and cheerful.

I arrived mid morning tempted by a cooked breakfast. Looking around I was the only customer in the whole place. I sat at a table and chose my selection. After a few minutes I decided it best I order at the bar rather than wait at my table.

After trying the Chinese last night up the rd and being disappointed thought we would try this kebab shop, food was cooked whilst we waited, waiting time was acceptable, I got a chicken kebab hubby got a combination kebab, must say it was really tasty and we will return good value for money good portion sizes

Popped in for something to eat as I was on my own felt awkward but settled down for a 10oz Ribeye cooked exactly as I wanted

Really good value food and drink. The staff are all friendly and helpful and despite how busy it is the service is still excellent. Highly recommend this pub for a bite to eat or just a drink

Wow, the doner kebabs are off the scale! We stayed in Goodrington for four nights and twice ate these delicious kebabs for dinner! Fabulous 🎉🎉🎉

Lovely clean pub, good varied menu & willing to help friendly staff. Worth a visit at off peak times as times can vary between 30 mins - 1.5hr during busy times. Although the quality of food is worth the wait.

Usually have kebab with all the trimmings and chips. Lovely tasteful food. We have ours delivered, fast and efficient.
