Very popular local community pub on the Landport Estate in Lewes. We visited for a cards evening and the pub was very busy. Average selection of ales and not aware that they do evening food but they did provide sandwiches etc for the cards evening. If you want a good meal then you would be better placed eating elsewhere in the town as this is mainly a games/drinking pub.

Went with my family for coffee and frappes and cake for my disabled mother. We arrived at 16.20. 1 of children my wanted a chocolate frappes they said that did not have it so we ordered 2 tropical mango frappes 2 latte’s and 2 pieces of carrot cake and a strawberry vanilla cake. I was told that they closed at 17,00 so could not have. Our coffees in a cup and cakes on a plate only in paper bag i feel they were to-eager to get out rather than Too serve busy to get out at 17.00. Do I was extremely upset as my disabled mother could not have her coffee and cakes what a disgrace considering it was only 16.25

We stayed in The Dog with our 2 Yorkshire Terriers for a 2 night break taking advantage of the bed, breakfast and dinner package. We stayed in room 4 which was not only beautiful and comfortable but also had a Christmas tree in it which was a lovely touch. The bar area was cosy with a great choice of beers and cocktails. But the reason we choose to stay at The Dog is for the exceptional meals. We both had a 3 course meal each night and every course was not only presented beautifully but the taste and flavors were amazing. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Well done The Dog keep up the outstanding service you provide and we look forward to our next stay.

Ask for just ketchup and onions in burgers no salad. Got salad no ketchup or onions

We have eaten dinner at the pub since it's refurb previously and food was good. We returned last night with our friends, highly recommended the fish and chips to our friends - which 3 of us had - only to be disappointed ... the fish was overcooked and dry... seemed like it may have been cooked then reheated. Certainly not enjoyable and very disappointing. In addition, we asked to be seated at a table where the lighting wasn't too bright as we find at the pub that the spotlights above the tables are far too bright and in your face. Our request was obviously ignored as we were put at a table where the spotlights were immediately above us... could have seen the lights from space! Please please please... turn down the lighting or reposition it so it's not directly shining on your customers. We have noticed this before and haven't been to the pub for a while for this very reason. You want a cosy ambience when you go out for dinner and not have to put up with lights so bright that it gives you a headache. Please make changes! On a positive not the waitress was lovely. But shame about the food and ambience.

Nice little pub opposite a lot of busy attractions. I really enjoyed the interior but the tables outside would be perfect in better weather to watch people pass by. Service was friendly and laid back. Beer was in good condition.

Recently went here for lunch in the bar area and had an excellent and relaxing experience. The very friendly welcome, service, food and prices were all superb. Thank you.

Tea Room. The panini I had today was excellent. Service as usual was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

2 regular teas cost just short of £6 and they found the tiniest cups - not even a mug or small pot. What a rip off. Find somewhere cheaper!

Came here on Saturday, 12th April. Every single member of the bar staff was so nice and friendly. (I was there on my own as my party had left early!) I had a great time in this place. The DJ was awesome as well. Recommend to all. 😍

Desde el momento en que entramos, su comportamiento amable y su pasión genuina por el café hacen que la experiencia sea realmente especial. El cuidado y la precisión que puso en la elaboración de nuestras bebidas fue excepcional, ¡no fue solo una bebida sino una obra de arte! La profesionalidad de Aleena, junto con su actitud alegre, creó un ambiente acogedor y edificante. Aleena, gracias por ir continuamente más allá para hacer que nuestras visitas sean tan agradables!
