Costa in Basingstoke and Deane

spent 15 minutes in totally the wrong place, then drove in the wrong direction. when eventually got to my house he tried to walk away with my order saying he was at wrong place.

went in there today. staff are very unprofessional and rude was humiliated infront of many customers who agreed i handled it well. have put a complaint into head office this store is poorly managed UPDATE I TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS BY AREA MANAGERS WHO GIVING ME THE GO AHEAD! APOLOGISED FOR MANAGMENT AND WAS TREATED POORLY. TO NOW BEING HARRASED BY THE MANGER AND THE WORKER FIONA BY CALLING THE POLICE!!! ALL OVER A FAMILY FALL OUT WHICH NOT HAPPEN IN COSTA! PUT ANOTHER COMPLAINT IN TODDAY MANGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TO MY FRIEND TOO!!! SHE SHOULD NOT BE MANAGMENT!!! CALLED ME A LIER WHEN I SPOKEN TO AREA MANAGER ROXY!!!

Absolutely appalled by the manager of this Costa, disgustingly rude and unprofessional. I know I'm not the first person to have issues with this manager. Amy curtis has got an ongoing issue with this costa due to harassment by the manager and another member of staff. Have also seen alot more reviews expressing the rudeness of the manager and other members of staff.

Good offer. Not a long wait. Clean in the room even though it was relatively busy. Pleasant service

Ordered a large latte (take-away) for about £4.50. The taste was atrocious. The flavour of coffee is barely detectable. If I didn’t need a hot drink right now, it’d go in the bin! Not fit for purpose. BTW, the barista was kind and polite. Will I patronise Costa again? No. I wonder, why do people shop at this Costa coffee shop? Perhaps because there is no other choice within miles and miles. 😣 If you ever wondered about the roots of the British mediocrity, this might be it. For £4.50 I deserve to get at least one spoon of ground coffee beans in my latte. I was CHEATED.

Can be quite slow at times with service but everyone's friendly

The team at this Costa is second to non! We hold all our meetings here and love how excited they get to see our dogs! They are always so friendly and would recommend this coffee shop to anyone! The manager is so incredible and keep her staff so happy! Tiegan is also great at creating whatever order is thrown at her!!

I visit a lot of Costa Coffee shops and can honestly say this is the worst. Some of the staff do not smile or greet the customers in fact one of them was extremely rude. I tried to help by putting out used coffee cups on a tray onto some shelves, a very rude man shouted at me not to put it there as it didn't belong. No thank you or offering to take it from me, he just walked off. I have never been spoken to like that before. I think the staff in this store really need training and start greeting the customer with a smile. I suggest they go to the Costa Coffee in the hospital the staff there are really friendly and helpful. If they are not happy in their work find another job. I will certainly not be visiting again.

I pop in most mornings on my walk to work and the staff are very kind and efficient in my opinion. The recent refurb looks great. Wish the shop was in a bigger unit however as it is often veryyyy busy and gets a bit cramped. The poor staff are rushed off their feet a lot of the time!

Rude staff would not complete the order the way that every other costa has done. Specifically asked for Coconut milk as serverley allergic to milk. Made it with normal milk. They were rude when asked to remake with coconut milk.

Very disappointed with my recent visit, and this not aimed at the staff, they try their best ,it's the owners fault ,because they have decided to start doing collections ,so the driver collects drinks ,food for the customers as well. So whilst waiting 15 mins for only a Costa coffee l had to endure, waiting for someone's home delivery which took 10 mins ,meanwhile the que was getting bigger ,and one of the girls was an apprentice so a bit slow .4 staff doing 5 staffs worth of work. So l don't understand why the owners want to do collections when people are, walking in taking one look at the que and walking out so your losing customers anyway. I hope your reading this on your yacht sailing around the world.

Usual Costa place nothing special

Small shop offering all that Costa do. No disrespect to the team but it was pretty dirty come 1pm. It had clearly been busy and they were struggling to keep on top of it I am sure things improved. I asked a staff member if I could keep the two small tables together as we were 4 people she grunted stooped off but I tool it as a "yes sir that would be fine". I will be back again as we all have off days

When I entered and found a table for 4 people with my grandson, a member of staff rushed over from the counter and asked if there were only 2 of us. I pointed to my granddaughter, who was coming over with her Granddad, who uses a wheelchair. I thought that was quite rude. Also, long wait to order and long wait for food.

Greasy cold food and tepid coffee, never again.

I used to love this Costa coffee shop. Unfortunately last week we got coffee from this shop and it was unusually bitter. I couldn't drink it. We gave another chance on Friday. The coffee was even worse 😞. I don't know what happened but I won't attend this coffee shop as I don't want to waste my money on something that is not tasty.

I ordered a cappuccino which by the time had arrived, had lost all of its foam (so was essentially just a white americano), and therefore not worth the price. Delivery was supposed to be by 2.05pm, but arrived at 2.18pm (the courier was waiting at the restaurant for a while so this was down to the restaurant not the courier). Overall really disappointing. Also as a note - I cannot amend the box that says “how late was your order?” As it defaults back to 5 minutes.

Excellent customer service. Bought my order over to me without me asking when recovering from injury. Really appreciated.

My favourite Costa by far! They have regular customers for a reason simply because the staff are so friendly and they make the nicest coffee in comparison to the surrounding Costa’s. While they have the team of people they have working there it will always be my fave! 🫶🏼

Awful service today order toast waited 15 minutes reminded we are still waiting arrived 10 minutes later then had to ask for butter very disappointing as normally very good spent most of their time talking

There was no ice in the Mango Berry Bubble Tea

Absolutely shocked with the service. The Costa Cafe wasn't busy. Not one of the staff members looked presentable or happy to be there. They had headphones in their ears listening to music and didn't really pay much attention to the customers. We have ordered the new summer range drinks which brought shock to their faces. The barista who was preparing our drinks was terrible. His 'Saturday' underwear was on show (just like it was in fashion back in the 90's). Not only he licked his fingers to clean them whilst preparing the drinks! He also put some of the bubbles used for the drink back into the container when they spill onto the counter. It took him 10 min to make two blueberry bubble drinks and when it came to make a whipped latte he had a o clue! He kept looking at the wall (for instructions). At this moment as I was in a rush I asked for a normal coffee. I wasn't offered an apology not refund. I could understand poor service during the peak time but this was Saturday morning (as specified by his underwear and hungover look on their faces).

One of the best and very rare Costas in that you can have a cuppa in their outside area with your dogs. It is so disappointing that most Costas don't do this and are very unwelcoming...so badly behaved kids are welcome but not well behaved dogs. Apparently central policy... Very disappointing. I avoid all Costas now except for this one in Chineham

Use this place a fair bit, always clean & tidy, friendly staff.

Don't go there if you want white bread. As they will take your money and give you brown seeded bread without letting you know. Worse customer service!!

All good except ordered for a specific time and that time slipped by 20 mins, ended up being delicious though more a fault with just eat I imagine

Used this coffee shop many times,!always a great visit until today. Worst visit today and will never return. Staff were rude, no customer service and given a stone cold latte, milk not heated. Every table outside was filled with trays and empty cups, plates. So disappointed at how downhill the service has gone 😞

Staff was great. PLace was great. Review is about the coffee itself. It seems that Costa coffee it all tastes the same now no matter if you order a cappucino, latte or flat white. We ordered a flat white and if was just gallons of milk with some coffee. No difference in quantity or taste if we had ordered a latte. This review is about Costa, so no issue with the Chineham branch or the staff, bless them.

The drive thru has been closed all week very inconvenient

Lady stated she got lost. One drink spilt everywhere and we ordered a large decaf oat latte which came as a regular.

2 of my 5 Coffee's were split so bad the bag was split and lost half of each large

Go regular to get my drink. However have noticed how dusty and dirty looking the display glass and floor looks. Friendly staff and good back ground music while waiting for my drink.

They forgot my Bakewell tart. And my large hot chocolate wasn’t filled to right amount. I could fit to more shots of hot chocolate in there. Poor from Costa

Service was awful. Asked man behind counter making coffee if was skinny and it was not his attitude to me was terrible. He was rudy and sharp and throw coffee in sink so everyone looked .Service was slow and lady didn't listen. Drinks were OK.

My daughter and I wanted to buy a take away coffee and food at 6pm on Wednesday 27 April. As we came in through the door, a young guy said, We’re closed! And before I could say something, he immediately said again, we’re closed! Very rude! You just lost a valued customer. Been going to this place for over 7 years and have been supporting everyday during lockdown. Closing time was 7!

It's same Costa Coffee shop but at the centre of shopping centre with huge carpark on side and sitin space..

Expected Time was changed and my cappuccino was of poor quality. Only half a cup and no froth or chocolate dusting. Very disappointed

First time at particular costa but as good as I would have expected

Usually is the best! This morning one of the sausage baps was rock solid. Vanilla cappuccino was not vanilla - they mixed up the order and the sugar free caramel was not a latte . Overall very disappointing this morning. Not the top notch quality usually received
