Popped in for quick sandwich and drink. In the past have had good service and food here. There were only 4 other people in the cafe who had already been served. The coffee and tea arrived quickly. Tea average, coffee strong and hot. 25 minutes later the sandwich arrived. No teaspoons with the tea, no saucer for tea bag, milk jug cracked. Sandwich was ok but the filling was icy cold, like it had to be defrosted before making the sandwich. Overall very disappointing and very expensive- £9 for the sandwich and over £5 for Decaff coffee, so will not be visiting again.

Super dirty. They don’t wash things properly. I reminded them. No apologies, seems like this is not the first time they heard this

Stayed one night after a game at Twickenham. Amazing value and rely well done from checking in to checkout. Really nice room and a touch of class. Water and milk in a fridge to pickup and a bottle of beer in the room.

We decided to stop here for a lunch having spotted the ideal sitting outside spot with a baby in a pushchair under cover. Chose a granary sandwich filled with bacon, brie & cranberry it was delicious and came with a side salad & crisps, very good value. Opted for cold drinks as it was a warm day. So glad we chose this place over so many other coffee shops in the High St. Will visit again. Staff were friendly & pleasant.

We spent Mothers Day at Gunwharf Quays and, overall, it was a lovely day. The one thing that let it down was a trip to the Parade Tea Rooms. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely little place, and the decor is very nice. The other appealing thing is that it's slightly off the beaten track, being tucked away in the corner at Vernon Gate, a stone's throw from the Haribo and Cadbury's outlets. On the flip side, the service was nothing short of appalling. We didn't exactly get the warmest of welcomes. It was close to the end of service, and the hovering staff looked somewhat inconvenienced by our arrival. A casually-dressed member of staff appeared at the serving hatch, and begrudgingly handed us some menus. This same member of staff decided it would be a good idea to refuse to sell my partner a slice of chocolate cake, even though it sat proudly in their display cabinet waiting to be purchased by the incoming patrons. Apparently, the said chocolate cake was for the following day's service, and clearly it was a major inconvenience for him to serve my partner a slice of this cake. No decent explanation was offered. (If it wasn't for sale, perhaps it shouldn't have been taken out of its wrapper and placed in the display cabinet until after the doors had closed.) Other unwitting customers also entered the establishment and promptly left after being told the same thing about the visually appealing cakes that were on display ... ... which is what we should have done of course, but for some reason we ended up staying for refreshments despite Mr Casual's appalling attitude. No problem with the drinks and also the spicy fries, which were delicious I have to say, but the service was extremely disappointing, particularly since it was Mothers Day, and my partner deserved much better.

This is a great old-fashioned station buffet. There are notices warning that some of the coffees are powdered, as they don't have a flash barista-type machine. But they have tea and coffee, hot and cold snacks - and second hand books. I had tea and a slice of home-made bread pudding. Perfect. Served by a very friendly woman.

This was my first of many Festive dinners and it did not disappoint!!! £20 for a 3 course festive dinner, with a glass of bubbly was fantastic value for money. The portions were generous, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were attentive. If all my festive dinners go this way I will be a very happy (and full) customer. Highly recommended and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much Cas (Caroline)

Visited here a lot over the years but lately it has really gone downhill. Dirty tables, staff standing around chatting , ages to wait for a drink. Yesterday topped it all. The member of staff , short with glasses and greasy tied back hair had no interest in serving customers. A constant frown on her face . The coffee was awful and just a cup full of foam . As customers we felt unwanted and will most definitely not be returning. For the price they charge for a cup of coffee we would expect a smile and a clean cafe at least ...
