Was disappointed that I had to drink out of a takeaway cup and not a proper cup as the takeaway cups taste like plastic and doesn’t give you the taste of what you order a Caramel Macchiato and my partner had a black coffee. I want to taste the flavours not the cup is made out off Thanks STARBUCKS please ask your customers what they want to drink out off

Such lovely attentive staff. Always a pleasure visiting. They saw I was wearing a birthday badge and wrote “happy birthday” on my takeaway cup without me noticing. Cute lil touch

Whilst walking past Starbucks, I noticed it was their first day so I expected it to be busy. Usually, I’d think, maybe another day due to the expected business but I saw there was no line. Although, there were plenty of people, the staff tackled them respectfully, quickly and politely. Really refreshing to see. Although it is abit out of my way, I’m happy to go the distance for this Starbucks due to their customer service!

I use this Starbucks regularly and time of visit and staff are key. They have a core team of really helpful and really excellent baristas, but, if you hit it at peak time with some of the newer staff it's a bit of a miss. Get the timing (after 9am) with the right team on and it's one of the best around. What is always a miss is the music; who is responsible for playing this awful jazz music. Think what it's like at Christmas in the shops and the novelty of Christmas songs soon wears off; come into this Starbucks regularly and the music will drive you insane and if it is bad for me; imagine what it must be like for the staff? How any of them smile is beyond me. My recommendation is to get the timing of your visit right and bring headphones!

This Starbucks is just a short walk from the Guildhall Square opposition the New Royal Theatre. The shop itself is light and airy with a ground floor with a mixture of tables, comfortable chairs and a long table. There is also a mezzanine level with tables with power sockets, and a handful of tables outside. On this visit, the shop was fairly empty with with only a handful of people inside, but there were quite a few people waiting for drinks. We ordered drinks from the friendly staff, but the drinks which took quite a while to be made. The tables, chairs and floor were all very clean and clearly well cared for. The background music was some tasteful piano music. Overall a good experience.

We popped in here after shopping to re- fuel. I had a decaffeinated mocha made with coconut milk - nice and creamy. Just what I needed to warm me up on a cold day. Plenty of seating including comfortable armchairs. The tables and floor were crumb free too :-)

Friendly staff, great coffee and treats. I visit here at least 2x weekly since it opened. What you would expect from Starbucks, but have come to know and enjoy chatting with some of the staff.

Not the best coffee but the cafe was lovely. Near the centre of Portsmouth city. Given the choice, I'd definitely choose Costa or a local coffee shop over Starbucks (primarily for the better coffee)

Whilst doing something at the New Theatre Royal, I had an hour to kill, and I thought I'd pop in to Starbucks (albeit my first ever one); after a fairly short queue, with only about 4 people in, I was served quickly, and it was all very simplistic. My drink itself (Fudge Hot Chocolate) was very nice, and was a great drink for this particular time of day (about 12:10). Oh, and my name was spelt correctly, which isn't difficult for my name! (Josh!) Overall, if you're looking for a Starbucks in the area, then this is a great place to stop off, as well as a generally nice atmosphere overall.

Starbucks are known with thier good coffee but not this branch. I visited them with my wife for breakfast and after long queue; we order the coffee which was done very quickly but unfortunately it was done inprofessionally due to long queue. We try it again when the branch was almost empty (Sunday Morning) but the same bad coffee. I believe the branch stop caring about the quality and care about the quantity only.

I called in late morning for brunch. I must have arrived just at the right time as there was only one person ahead of me in the queue but, a few minutes later, it suddenly got really busy. Service was good - as I received my latte my bacon roll was ready and brought straight over to me. There was plenty of seating and the decor is modern and relaxing. Staff were pleasant and helpful and free wi-fi worked well.

If you visit before the students are up, it is a pleasant coffee stop. Otherwise the students tend to spread over several tables with bags etc. Really friendly staff, and kept clean and tidy. A nice cup of coffee for an early start to the day. Weekends are usually ok, as students are recovering from the night before 😎

Popped in at 5pm for a coffee. Was amazed how tidy considering how busy the location would be. Tidy for a high street location. Nice coffee, and a tasty cake made for a good close to the day.

Si has estado en un Starbuck's, que ha estado en todos ellos realmente. Pero este es muy limpio, interior, y un lugar agradable para sentarse a tomar un café o un aperitivo ligero.

Served by a lady called Sara who acted like everything I asked for (2 coffees and a sandwich) was to much effort and I was being unreasonable..... And to top it off got given dirty looks throughout the time I spent in there!

The slowest service ever! Cant even make a coffee frap properly it just tasted like cold milk. Also my sister paid extra for mint hot chocolate and they didn't even put it in. It doesn't help situating the store in the middle of a busy area and only having 2 members of staff. NOT GOOD

This branch has recently opened opposite the Theatre Royal in a smartly converted ex night club. All the usual Starbucks ranges are carried and the staff are friendly and efficient. Being situated away from the main shopping streets and close to the University area, makes for a more eclectic customer base and this creates a very good atmosphere. Seating is on two levels with a mixture of styles and there are charging plugs available. Free wifi operates throughout. This branch is well placed and deserves to do well. Recommended.

I suppose that is something you could say about every star buck's but this is a particularly expensive branch, assumedly because they are exploiting students and their loans. Having said that the hot chocolate I had was very tasty, I had some of a friends vanilla latte which was also very nice.

We used to visit this place very often especially when down to commercial road for a shopping. The food is always delicious and we really enjoy their jacket potatoes - big and rich of flavours. The service is great. There could be queues sometimes, be aware of that. Prices are ok.

Visited this pub and stayed about 2 years ago, lovely rooms, great pub, cosy & inviting, great atmosphere and food. Visited pub this Easter weekend, well I was shocked! I assume changed hands as now run down and empty considering 8.30pm on Saturday evening. Not sure what it's meant to be but certainly didn't feel like a pub, more like a cross between a village hall and an Indian restaurant when you look at furniture. Place full of tables set for diners with mismatch metal chairs garden furniture and high back chairs from a restaurant, no comfortable sitting at all. Felt awkward sitting there for the 1 drink we had and they were already clearing bar to close for the night. Cold and clinical lighting and I won't mention the toilets! Disappointed visit and sad that the pub has lost its charm. Won't be visiting again plenty of other lovely pubs just a few 100 yards away.

Gilley’s Diner in Portsmouth, NH, is a hidden gem for anyone looking for classic diner food in a charming, nostalgic setting. My wife and I stopped by for a quick bite and were impressed by the experience. She ordered a hot dog with fries, and I opted for a double cheeseburger with fries. Both were served within 5 minutes, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Despite the small menu, the food is top-notch for diner fare, and the friendly service adds to the experience. The diner itself is small and quaint, with only six seats, but the charm of this old food truck-turned-diner more than makes up for it. The service was fantastic—there's only one person running the place, and she handled everything seamlessly. If I lived in the area, I'd be here at least once a month. Highly recommend for anyone craving a quick, delicious meal in a cozy, old-school diner atmosphere.

Pub real, gente estupenda, gran personal, mucha diversión. Reglas simples durante Covid, firmar en la puerta con el número de la mafia, lavarse las manos, ordenar, sentarse, ¡la cerveza llega en segundos! Incluso fuera de un gran pub.

What a lovely place! Right on the sea front with amazing views. Due to the pending Storm Ashley, the el fresco terrace was out of bounds. Such a shame it's a total suntrap! A A great atmosphere and the staff were chilled, happy, and efficient. There's a great choice of food on the menu, and not just 'sea-side' food. We had the small bites. The decor is spot on and trendy. You can even hire it out for private functions! Oh, and all the great varieties of bread are baked in-house.
