Costa in Portsmouth

Cancelled my order for delivery of Coffee to the office with no explanation!!! Order 401186032

Weekly visitor to Costa Palmerston Rd. Staff are always nice and friendly whatever day I go in but particularly Merci and I think Craig on a Sunday morning are so friendly, welcoming, professional, you feel you are being greeted by friends.A credit to Costa, I hope they will get some acknowledgement from their Boss's. Costa products lovely, tasty always of a high standard and love the reward scheme.

The idiot from Shirin kebab threatened my friend in the store, resulting in my friend having a total meltdown and getting a ban, even though he`d done nothing wrong except have his mental illness triggered in dangerous situation (although `kebab man` was banned). To add insult to injury, the threatener was allowed back into Costa for some reason. Costa has NO clue about mental illness. Not even a hint of a clue. The new `manageress` sucks hard too.

Best costa experience I’ve had. Such a genuinely warm greeting. The coffee and toast was fine as always but it was the workers today that made that costa great. I wish I’d noted their names I sat myself near the till and could hear them greeting everyone the same. Such a tonic

Had a really nice coffee and hot chocolates. The children's baby chino was nice a cool for my son which is good ment he could enjoy it with us and not have to wait for it to cool down.

Coffee is great. However, staff leave many tabled dirty and not cleared for a long time even though they are not busy.

Friendly and fast service. Coffee was piping hot and was just how I like it. Atmosphere was a little roudy with no background or ambient music. Apart from this, great experience just like you'd expect from any Costa Coffee.

I called in for a quick cuppa and ended up staying longer. Not the best cafe but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.

Ordered online from the table..... the order sat waiting for ever on the app.... eventually I sent up to collect. "Easy in order" in take away cups..... been there a bit..... staff too busy talking to eachother about other people's lives,,, to my drink with me when I left.. so not even collected on the app. Maybe 20 minutes,,,,,

Staff rushed drinks for me and my friend. Didn't turn out nice at all. Shame cos normally great drinks

Same Same. Always enjoy the coffee at Costa but starting to get a tad expensive. The staff at the Southsea branch are very good. So polite, courteous and go the extra mile by bringing the drinks and food to the table.

For coffee it's standard nothing really great about the experience still had to wait in a que and the hot chocolate is ok at best

The place is always clean and inviting whenever I go in (which is weekly now that Vodafone are doing a £1 coffee deal)… Food and drink is always nice. Absolutely lovely staff in at 2pm on 08/02/22! So friendly to everyone coming in and out. I couldn’t decide between two sweet treats and the lad ended up giving me two for the price of one!

The staff happened to be both female the day I popped in, was having trouble with the Costa app, they went over and above to help me out. Charming and friendly ladies, the store was clean, tidy and they worked efficiently and effectively together. Had a lovely latte, sat back and relaxed.

Best cappuccino I had in a very very long time. Very friendly and welcoming staff...

We visited on Monday morning last week at 11am The girl behind the counter had her mask under her chin Very hygienic...not! I went to use the toilet it was awful. No toilet paper. Bin overflowing water all over the floor. Obviously had not been checked by the staff Will not be returning

The staff in this Costa are the absolute best. We are huge Costa coffee fans and are always drawn back here because of the excellent service. We were so sorry that Costa was the last coffee outlet to re-open after lockdown which meant that a lot of it's regulars went elsewhere but like us are gradually beginning to return. May I add we didn't go elsewhere but stayed home.

The staff in this Costa are so friendly and always in a good mood, most weekends I choose to work here and catch-up on emails, it's quiet and reasonably priced for a chain. WiFi could be better

Although I don't like chains and I prefer to support small independent businesses, I must admit that Costa comes pretty close to the Italian coffee experience. Coffee is good, service is fairly fast and the staff is friendly. If you need a quick and decent coffee, you can't go wrong.

The wife was shopping so we needed to occupy ourselves. Had a latte. Coffee was nice, service was quick especially as it was busy. Plenty of table space and clean. Boys had soft drinks, I think maybe increasing the choice of kids drinks would be good. Overall not too shabby

Coffee 1 had a massive queue so I used Costa, there was no queue in Costa but still the staff making the coffee was clearly stressed and agitated, like everything was too much trouble for him. I had a flat white with an extra shot, it was bland and a little bitter, not good quality coffee. This is probably why coffee 1 was packed because their coffee is far superior, and the staff are not stressed!

Nice staff, good coffee but as with all Costas it's pricey. Seating area is chilly, even at the back away from the door. Toilets are untidy & not kept up to scratch. Ok as a meeting place but not to spend time.

Parece que incluso el gerente tiene su prioridad equivocada porque no están ahí solo para conversar con sus clientes habituales. Esta es la segunda vez que veo la lentitud con la que trabajaba esta chica llamada Michelle, y a ella nunca pareció importarle que algunas personas estén de descanso y necesiten obtener su café para llevar lo antes posible. Si no puede realizar múltiples tareas, no debería pasar el tiempo charlando con los clientes solo para evitar el trabajo. Espero que el gerente contrate baristas que se centren en hacer café en lugar de conversar con sus clientes habituales.

Excellent place for full bodied coffee. Friendly staff and not pushy on selling. Code for toilet changes which is on your receipt. However. They need monitoring more frequently.

We popped in here on a busy Saturday afternoon. Service pretty quick and friendly staff. It’s so good to have the option of a dairy free alternative to milk as I have a milk intolerance. The coffee is always good - just a shame that I can’t get a snack/ cake that is dairy and gluten free (I am coeliac). Occasionally I can get some biscuits, but they seem to sell out quickly.

Just travelled all the way from north Wales Looking forward to an oat milk latte but they don't do it, coconut in coffee is yuck, oat is the best, dissapointed! Shame no Starbucks as they do vegan cakes too!
