I order single macchiato and they bring me this

every time i come in, the young girls are having private conversations at the till. the service is awful. i always order large and the last two weeks have been given a medium but charged for a large. and twice they have forgotten my order and double checked then gone back to their conversation. every Saturday morning, and they have forgotten to ask if i want anything on my hot chocolate. the service needs sorting out badly,

As like all Costa Coffees tables are never very clean nor are the toilets but staff in this one are always pleasant

We visited to grab a quick lunch when shopping. A good selection of sandwiches, cakes and panini’s. I tried the mango berry bubble tea which was delicious. Only draw back was a large queue and not enough staff.

Gave a wide berth after a few trips but no different. Not a place for a quick bite. Set aside 20mins, ten should cover the queue (even if few are before you), and allow for leeway. Sure it's busy, locale and peoplewise, queue always long but staff could do with a basic sorry for keeping you waiting. If I and others could in a m&s cafe Costa can. Not just this place. Especially when, sure you lack help, you leave a person standing by counter.

Further to a previous review about a competitor, this was an overall better luncheon. Food was nice although expensive for what it is, again drinks expensive especially the black americano. This is the only Costa I have been to where the food has not been delivered to the table. Staff super friendly. Would recommend for a visit

Staff didn’t seem like they wanted to be there had the new hot milkshake which was nice bit on the sweet side

Large latte, over £4 . Worst latte ever. Milk over heated, no creamy milk at all. Overflowing from mug, no many people, but bar looking messy. A huge leak. Not a drip. Or drops, the water flowing like the tap was left opened... in a world where water resources are so important.

Dropped in for a coffee while out shopping. Staff very polite and friendly, only down side it was very busy and had to queue for our drinks.

Staff were great. Very busy when I went I (07.10.23) as they were a person down and their customer service was still great. Well done to the 3 ladies that were working 👍

Slow service, have been displaying a sign saying that their wifi is 'temporarily' out of order for a year now, a bit dirty looking, staff rarely get a big order correct. Just not up to scratch really in comparison to other city stores.

Service was great. Friendly helpful people behind the counter, got my food and sat down, before I had a chance to get settled my plate was swarmed with black fruit flies so couldn't eat my food. I see that other people have commented on the flies, so this has been an ongoing issue. They need to get he place cleaned up and then get pest control in to get rid of the flies, as I am sure this is health issue. The toilet has been out of order in this establishment for at least weeks maybe longer. This establishment lets down the Costa brand

Costa Coffee, Commercial Road, Portsmouth. I'm a regular customer but am bewildered that the WiFi in-store has still not been fixed. It must be more than six months now that it hasn't been working. It is incredibly frustrating for customers but also for the staff, who daily have to apologise that it's not working. Plus because of the lack of WiFi, they struggle to place online orders, or clock-in for a shift and often end up doing paperwork at home in their own time. The whole team is brilliant and only because they are all so good, I continue to go there. It's pathetic that Coca-Cola simply can't be bothered to deal with this ongoing issue on a timely basis. This site is very busy, in a major city centre, and has lost a lot of custom as many customers expect to be able to have a coffee and browse the internet, catch up with emails etc. I've complained several times to Costa customer service and they do absolutely nothing. Had it still been Whitbread, it definitely would have been fixed within a few days. It's amazing, Coca-Cola purchased Costa Coffee from Whitbread for $4.9 billion but they can't afford the punitive cost to fix a simple WiFi issue. Shameful. Obviously, customer satisfaction counts for nothing.

Visited Costa on the 06/05/2023. Service was good and staff were very polite and helpful. We left 10 minutes after receiving our drinks. They store had lots of small black flies flying around landing on the tables. When we asked a member of staff they told us they had mentioned it to the store manager but they weren't the slightest bit interested in the problem. Let's hope they get this problem sorted for everyone's sake.

Costa coffee is always of good quality... Very good, one always knows what you will get... Tasty cakes & pastries...

Commercial Road Costa Portsmouth, me and a friend went in to have a bite to eat and relax and read. I had literally set my plate down with sandwiches on it and the table was immediately swarmed with fruit flies. Obviously something in there isn't cleaned properly because there should not be that many. Once we'd finished they flew away to settle at another table. But it just felt dirty and gross while eating. Regardless of how management will think of the "presentation" of the place, they need to put fly traps around to attempt to clear it up. Nice place just not to eat.

Food was OK but sandwiches stacked on a plate was weird I asked the staff member apparently its to save space on tray never seen this before don't think I'll go bk wasn't very impressed tbh

Whilst on Portsmouth High Street I Popped into Costa Coffee for a Quick Coffee with my Whilst Waiting for a Train so I Decided to go for a Coffee along the High Street' It was a friendly Shop the Staff Seemed friendly enough I Ordered a Latte and a Cake Millionaire Shortcake and was a little Surprised at how Small the Cake was Considering how much I had Paid' I usually Buy a Cake or Something Sweet from a Greggs Only Costing me a few Quid as I find Costas Prices are abit to much Considering how much You Get'.. It had a nice atmosphere and I was Quickly Served I Didn't have to Wait to long.. Why are the Prices so expensive for there Cakes when You only Get little Slices? I think they Have to make their Slices Bigger or Reduce their Prices. It's Getting much to expensive to go for a Coffee these Days'..

Preferred the old team, and they even had a very shouty lady. Isaac was great, but he has gone too.

Just got back on the caffeine train and Costa is my favourite stop. I am obsessed with the chocolate brownie frappe! Sooo good! Only wish I could make them myself they are incredible! Download the app too for free coffee offers and stamp collections on purchases.

Always busy but plenty of seats inside. They have made a half hearted effort to put seats outside but unless you can put up with the stench and fifth of commercial road I recommend sitting inside

So I want in asking for the chocolate fudge brownie sauce in my latte only if possible but the attitude of the staff member was not the best. She was very short when I asked the question and seemed fed up. But all in all the coffee was still great

I am an Asian student of the University of Portsmouth. I talked with a girl staff at this Costa Coffee. Her dialogues are OK. However, the feeling on her face, her eyes, and her voice are very rude. I am not sure if she is a racist or not. If you are an Asian people, you should avoid.

Whenever I come in here I always dread the rudeness I recieve from staff. I asked for a straw and one of the female servers rolled her eyes and huffed and smacked it down on the counter. Pathetic really.

so needed a tea on long walk back from Fratton park to the Cascades carpark - it was way past 5pm so worried if anywhere still open - popped into this Costa and was greeted by a friendly server - said would have to be takeaway cups but no problem for me - lovely cup of tea and a slice of banana & walnut loaf cake

Last couple of times I've been in store they've been rude when serving. Bad tempered, I arrived at 9am this morning, only one person opening store and on her own, which I can imagine is stressful enough and with a queue of customers. However her attitude was rude towards me and my young daughter, I asked for a take away cup when ordering. She forgot so I asked again once our drinks and food was ready she copped and huffed and slammed just a cup down with no lid. So I just left the cup as I need the lid as I'd like to take my drink away with me eventually, there's literally no need for staff to be rude to a customer, when I'm very politely myself. I can understand if I was rude to her. Service really let's this place down. I won't be coming to this store again, it's a shame. I highly suggest more than one person is opening up the shop in the morning. Perhaps this would ease the pressure on the young girl you had serving this morning.

We had brilliant customer service today! We accidentally dropped our tray of drinks, the lovely staff member came straight over to help us clean up and she even replaced the coffee free of charge without us having to ask. 10 out of 10!

During busy Times i dont expect clean toilets, or Quick service....But.... ladies behind counter literally laughed at me when i asked for a plaster for my little daughter who hurt herself on premises, so i have been told they are for Staff use only. Health and safety should be followed on customers too.

I'm usually a big Costa fan but I didn't enjoy my visit here recently. I found the staff okay, but I didn't enjoy my coffee and the place was filthy. The chairs and tables were covered in muck, the floor and sofas were the same, as we're the toilets. Will not be coming here again.

Commercial road COSTA COFFEE......it's not great feels dirty and looks it to especially for such a busy location plus the hand sanitizer station is filthy and doesn't work🙄 did tell the 4 staff but unfortunately there seemed to be no care....Maybe it's time for a clean up costa

All in all a good place to stop for a coffee. The only downside is that it is a fair way from bus stops and anywhere to park your car so the elderly and/or infirm may wish to note this.

Drinks were good, but the toasties ordered came luke warm, not hot.
