Standard Weatherspoons, all good. Food arrives quickly. Wifi good. Bathroom floors need proper cleaning - all sticky.

Stayed close by and in here every day over the last 4 days. Always busy in the daytime and a cooked breakfast was had with a couple of real ales

Staff that looked like they really didn't want to be there, not very helpful, and as for the food mixed grill came out cold and was on the verge of being slimy will not be returning any time soon

Stopped by with a friend for a light lunch. Food was good, small portions but it’s a cheap lunch, wouldn’t expect a huge amount on the plate. Well cooked and hot. My only complaint would be that the server took my plate whilst I was still chewing my last mouthful and my friend was no where near finished. I find that awfully bad service.

Typical spoons in its way. Cheap drinks etc. Atmosphere what it is. Staff can be ok, nice with manners but one or two such as the largeish woman with big earrings never can be bothered. Treated like a bug on a windshield. Manners are free which most forget. Otherwise what it is.

Nice for a good cooked meal and drink

I have come here a few times for a drink or a bite to eat and always had brilliant service and the prices are hard to beat. Very cheap drink and the food menu is cheap and good quality food. The atmosphere is always very lively but always very friendly.

5 stairs all the because everytime I come here the fish and chips wow me all the for lunch or dinner everything was amazing

Lovely brekky served relatively quick. Pretty much perfect with no complaints!

For the money you really cannot argue. Staff are always very pleasant, you can have lots to eat and drink and still have money to get home.

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning before Pompey’s first home game..it was a bit late arriving but a very good large breakfast..everything well cooked and hot and all the staff were doing a fantastic job under pressure..Wetherspoons food can be variable but these guys turned out the best I’ve had ..

Prompt food service, with all meals coming out together for the six of us today. The food was as reliable as ever, you get what you expect at Spoons, and you either like it or you don't! It was a bit noisy, but then what do you expect in a Spoons on a Saturday evening? I mean, no-one ever said that Spoons was a place for a quiet romantic candlelit dinner! On the other hand you can get dinner for a tenner a head...

A Wetherspoons in the heart of Cosham. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Friendly staff, good table service via the app - normally quicker than queuing at the bar if it's busy. A small garden/smoking area at the back. Normal standard of food, the curry was very tasty. The place was clean and tidy, even the toilets. Wheelchair access from outside. Parking is on street in the local area.

I go here every Sunday morning if I can for a walk and a breakfast with my wife. Great traditional cooked english breakfast with great service.

We went for a lunch together, it was so nice to spend time together my husband and I.

ETA: Gents toilets - bring a snorkel. since my last visit. The place is swimming in piss. How they achieved a platinum loo award is beyond me. The rest of the review is good though. Easy ordering via the Wetherspoons app, and the food was decent for the price, but as with all Wetherspoons, it's lacking in atmosphere. Good for a cheap meal, but wouldn't want to spend any serious time here

Managers attitude is vile. Speaks to customers like you are poo of her shoe. Not mention she always walking around with face like a slapped backside. Need more training on her customer service. Other then that food is always spot on. 👌

Member of Staff regarding my sister bringing in her scooter.( it's never been an issue before, we've brought it in a number of time,they're Collapsed and out the way. The staff member was so rude and aggressive She didn't even come over to say it she shouted it from other side of pub. Then continued to be rude when a member of my family when asking for a straw. Then asked for I'd for apple juice. She the carried on to then slag us off to her colleague.

3 yobs causing trouble made it a tense and unenjoyable atmosphere, they eventually left stealing their glasses and heading off to the red lion after causing issues in Portsbridge earlier , staff did nothing , but to be fair on minimum wage who would blame them

Went there yesterday had cheesy chips ended coming home and bringing it back up wouldn’t eat there again.

The service I received today was awful. Customers were rude to me, my friend and our kids. Staff were too. After asking for a refund because we didn't feel welcome in there the manager refused to give us one. Won't be going there again and any one with SEN kids or toddlers I reckon you don't either. Kids should be seen not heard in this pub and God forbid your kids do step out of line apparently it's OK for other people to tell you how to parent etc. It's ashame because I've been going in here for years and had only minor incidents with some rude customers but today was other level.

Visited this spoons with some friends for a couple beers and food. Bar staff very friendly and the food was much better than the muck they sell at the greene king down the road

Incredible service, food arrived extremely quickly and was well worth the price! The seats we sat on were not the most comfortable, and it was very loud, but overall, it was a great experience! Would recommend

It's a witherspoons there all the same you know what you get,had a breakfast and a pint here this morning was very nice

The food is reasonable. Very lovely and bubbly staff. About what you expect from a weatherspoons. It is very warm in there and gets busy...little room for wheelchairs and prams. Sit at the front or back or you will sweat. The mayonaise is...as always...left on the side! X.x Avoid! A common weatherspoons thing sadly. The toilets are also...as ususal only upstairs. A good place to go on a budget but avoid if you need quiet, coolness and room.

Great food, fair prices, warm kitchen until 22:00. Good selection of food and drinks. Can be recommended again and again

Stopped going in this pub over a year ago.The manager of the pub, Emma,has extreme attitude problems. Don't know if she is still there but she has turned being miserable into an art form. Every day is a bonus,Emma.

Hmmmmm! Putting ice in the wine glass before the measure of wine (3 times! Until confronted bartender) amounts to the customer not getting the correct measure of wine and weatherspoons making more profit by giving short measures!!!

Popped in for breakfast, great service and well priced, think it has a refit ? Looks much brighter and well layer out, would pop in again

It's a typical Wetherspoons, other pubs in their chain offer a more pleasant environment than this pub. Since I last visited this pub it's improved, it's cleaner than when I last visited and the speed of service is a lot quicker. 👏 A good selection of ales in their Oct 2023 ale festival. £2.54 for a pint of St Austell Average Joe is great value.

My wife and I enjoy our Sunday breakfasts at Wetherspoons First post pub in cosham highstreet. Great atmosphere, excellent food, best prices, welcoming staff that go the extra mile for everyone.

Just a pub, nothing special going on, not the cleanest, in fact looks like an effort to keep open. Forgettable.

Chargrilled peri peri chicken is a bit of a joke as the chicken looks grey and has never been near a chargrill. They don't even have a chargrill in the kitchen. Yuk.

Been a few times to this Wetherspoon pub when i am in the area. Food is good although it can get cold quickly I like the idea that i can order on the app - being disabled not easy to carry crutches and a drink from the bar If you want a quick cheap meal then these pubs are the place to go - even the drinks are reasonable

The food was average which I expected,although the beans came out as just a pot of tomato juice. The kitchen staff were great but the lady behind the bar taking orders needs retraining due to her lack of customer service skills and rude remarks which I found offensive!! Spent over £60 just to be insulted and abused is just perfect.

Another lovely spoons a short walk from the Cosham train station. And again the staff were very friendly and I actually ended up in a conversation with some locals. Very nice. Small outdoor seating areas out the front and back of the pub. The Guinness was good.

Good value Wetherspoons breakfast nicely presented well cooked and tasty eggs benedict good coffee perfect.

Very ample portions of fish and chips 7:30 on a Friday night along with a lively atmosphere ( but well behaved ). Beer and food super value and women's Eng v Scot on TV for distraction if needed.

Stopped off here after getting off at cosham rail station. Just 2 mins walk. Not grubby like other spoons. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Decent pint. Was busy but still found a table. Food appeared good but didn’t eat here. Seating outside has no Smoking which is nice for non smokers. Courtyard at rear for smokers.

I was supporting a group of 5 disabled clients I work with today. We decided to stop in Wetherspoons to grab drinks and eat our sandwiches as it was raining and the guys we hungry. We were served by a polite male staff on the till who was friendly and understanding. When we got our sandwiches out, a member of staff told us we have to sit elsewhere if we want to eat our own food. I explained I understood it was out of the usual but most places are fairly understanding, that there are no clear rules stating we can’t do this and that we have actually ordered many drinks. The woman continued to be rude and not very understanding. I am very lucky it did not trigger any behaviours for my clients and they packed their sandwiches up without complaining and we ate in the rain. A woman behind me then continued to be very rude and tell us we are silly and no where will let us in. I said I understand this but we’ve had kind retail staff members let us eat before as we don’t cause any bother and always order drinks but she continued to go on and the staff members watched and ignored. Eventually we left. Not a pleasant experience. Would have had a few nasty things to say in person if I wasn’t with my clients as was focused on making sure they were ok.
