Went into the Halfway house this evening and was greeted by 3 friendly staff members. Had a good chat and they looked after me. A* service, would definitely recommend popping into this pub.

Great pub with cosy feel, really nice atmosphere. It attracts a great crowd! Really nice friendly staff, especially Meegan who consistently greets everyone with a smile! The pub definitely wouldn’t be the same without her.

Stopped off at the Halfway House for a quick pint. Had a couple of pints of Doombar, which was very good. I had not been in the Halfway House for many years and its got a relaxed atmosphere with a mix of sofas and chairs.

We have played several gigs at this pub, we are always made to feel welcome by Meegan and her staff. Always a great atmosphere and always up for a good dance. We will be back. :)

We visited this pub last Saturday 9th June 2018 and had a lovely evening, the staff were very friendly and polite. There was a band playing called 'Alter Ego' and they were excellent and there was lots of dancing and a great atmosphere. We did not have a meal on this occasion, but it looked good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back as this band is playing there again on the 15th September as it was such a good night.

I had my retirement party in the Halfway House in Sevenoaks and as usual the pub had a very happy and friendly atmosphere due to the fantastic staff with a special mention to Meegan who could not have been more friendly helpful and professional and made my last day with BT very special.

Very lovely quirky pub with a retro feel. There was a real fire going which was very welcoming. Really good menu, loads of choice and some different dishes to those you usually find. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was really delicious, all freshly prepared and perfectly cooked. You would probably drive straight past this lovely pub on your way to Sevenoaks but it’s definitely worth stopping for!! Great value too... We would definitely return.

The Halfway House in Sevenoaks is a good local pub with a good atmosphere. The pub itself is well decorated and reasonably comfortable, with two small bar areas and a patio area to the rear away from the road. The food is good and very well presented. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there are usually three real ales available which are reasonably well kept. I would say that the beers are a little more pricey than the other Sevenoaks pubs though. The pub also hosts regular evening events at weekends, live music etc. so worth a visit.

Started the evening at The Halfway House and am wondering why I've never been more often. A sociable place to meet with friendly staff - even on a very busy Friday night.

The title says it all. Outside area for in the summer and smoking area under cover. Can book for private parties exclusively, have band nights and just relaxing chatting times. Your choice. Staff friendly and they do food now but I haven't tried a meal here, yet. We had buffet food for a friends party which was great and different, which was served by staff. Very nice.

I was brought up just up the road but last went into the Halfway in about 1997. I was immediately at home! It's been redecorated and re-jigged a bit but was still very much the old Halfway - not mucked about, internally gutted and generally wrecked like so many pubs. OK so there's a big Lidl next door now but in my day it was an Esso garage (in fact the Lidl probably looks better than the garage!). I can't answer for the food as I did not eat (and nor were other punters) late Saturday afternoon but the pint of Harveys was very good.

A lovely local pub that is literally half way to Riverhead and Sevenoaks! Great location to drop in after work or catch up with friends. Very relaxing and when the bands come on, this creates a lively atmosphere!

This is our company's favourite lunchtime venue. Friendly service, good beer (Sharps Cornish beers & a local Kentish brew) & good quality, inexpensive food all in a retro-style interior that works quite well, even if it was put together on a shoestring. My favourite dish is the pulled-pork bun with hand-cut chips & coleslaw. We are never disappointed.

This little pub tries hard to achieve. It has an interesting menu, the beers change regularly, they have a lot of live music, some seating and a small car park behind the pub and it's a friendly place.

Quite simply, don't bother just now. The place is a dump, with very few customers left. Shame, as it's an attractive building in a much sought after location. Should be easy to make it profitable, but that means raising standards, and this place has gone the other way. Just a few drunks and swearing kids. I dare say I'll try it again one day, but not just st yet.

The chef, Olaf, works wonders in the small kitchen of this quirky pub. Simple menu on a blackboard, changing quite often. Lots of local produce, and very reasonable prices. The cheeseburger is the best our son has ever eaten (and he's quite a connoisseur).

This pub is cosy and friendly with a seating area outdoors as well. They have various events on throughout the week including an Open Mic Night every Tuesday which is enjoyable and provides a variety of music with a good atmosphere and various live music gigs at weekends.I've eaten there several times and found the food very tasty, affordable and well presented. (I would particularly recommend the seafood & cod boullanaise- yummy)There is a good selection of drinks and the bar manager, Danny, is always very cheerful and gets to know his customers. There is a car park behind the pub which is quite small but you can usually find a space or there is parking in the residential roads around.Only 5 mins walk down the hill from Sevenoaks Station

Having just moved to the area we went in on a Wednesday evening. We were made very welcome by Matt behind the bar who was friendly and helpful. The locals were also welcoming and chatty, they gave us lots of tips about the area as a whole. We will definitely be going back. Although we didn't eat on this occasion the food looked lovely and was very reasonably price.

The Halfway House in Sevenoaks is a good pub with good food and good company. The pub itself is cosy and comfortable, with two small bar areas and a recently extended garden / patio area which is ideal for a sunny afternoon in the summer. The team serve a selection of really well kept real ales, usually including one or two guest ales from the local breweries. The food is really good, both the formal menu and the bar snacks, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I met with a group of about 10 friends having booked to meet up for a late Sunday lunch yesterday, after hearing about the reputation of the Halfway House. The food was excellent, all dishes that we tried were made with good quality fresh ingredients, and home made in the kitchen by the friendly chef Olaf, who provides a choice of 4 dishes for each of 3 courses, at the unbelievable price of 15 pounds for a starter, main and dessert. The range was more than adequate and suitable for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I particularly liked my choice of smoked ham and celeriac croquettes for starter, and pulled pork, chorizo, beans and roast veg for main. There were also a good selection of about 4 well maintained real ales with some good quality unintrusive background music in an environment that was relaxed and informal, although clearly a lot of thought had gone into the refurbishment and decor of the pub.A real gem, don't hesitate to try this one !

10/10 to Parker's kitchen for a fantastic Coq au Vin with celeriac mash and spinach for only £7.90. Truly tasty food. The pub has been in new hands for a few months now and has both really friendly bar staff and customers. Olaf Parker is the chef but you really need to order by about 7:30 or let them know you are coming and order by 8pm. The fantastic food is the best kept secret in Sevenoaks. This place is a real find! They have a record player and a sizeable collection of LP's. Later in the evening, the customers sometimes leave through the selection and chose and old favourite. The younger customers have to be shown how to lower the needle gently onto the record and how to select a specific track! Bring your own LPs if you want. There is parking for 3 or 4 cars behind the pub, more if you box them in. The drivers will know where to find you. You can also park in the Lidl car park next door in the evenings for a max 90mins, after which you will automatically get a parking ticket. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Spread the word!

Nice small branch to socialise with friends/family but the coffee is horrendous, anyone from Europe would be shocked at the quality, it's not just this branch in particular but the whole chain, I have no idea why management allow such mediocrity to persist nationwide. The latte was boiled milk essentially but the cappuccino was burnt completely, retraining the staff for the entire chain is needed however people continue to go so there will be no change in quality. And 4 pound for a cappuccino in a takeaway cup is a travesty

The pub is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the Sunday roast was a disappointment after being recommended. Roast potatoes were so hard like golf balls the Yorkshires were the same ... Chicken portion is tiny considering how much it costs. Pudding for one of us had to be sent back. Won't be returning sorry.

We had lunch here after a walk with the dog around Shoreham. Opted for seniors menu. Chicken chips and salad, steak and ale pie, followed by chocolate fudge cake and lemon tart. Food of good quality and generous portions. A very acceptable pint of Green King IPA to wash it down. At 13 quid for two courses, very reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff and dog friendly. Recommended and would definitely return.
