Miners Arms in Sevenoaks

It is more of a drinkers pub than a diners pub, very much old school and locals type place, we stumbled upon by accident.

So good to have food served at The Miners now. Pie and mash this evening cooked by Zoe was spot on! Chicken wings always look and smell delicious, I just don't eat meat on the bone, and the rest of the menu looks good! Will definitely eat here again! And, as always, a good atmosphere with friendly locals 👍🏻

Much improved local . Big beer garden and intimate bar area. Food basic but reasonably priced. Haven’t visited for a few years but pleasantly surprised by friendly and busy atmosphere.

I regularly go to this fine establishment, top care of customers, gorgeous & caring bar staff ie both Amy's, Joe, Toni, Johnny, Amber, keeley & Sam & Rachel. Always a pleasure. Clean as a whistle & foods awesome!!! Love you guys Bisto!

I've lived in Dunton Green for over 18 years and during that time the Miners has changed hands a number times. I have learned that the quality of a pub is largely dependent on who is running it. Over the years the Miners has had some fantastic Landlords/Landladies but it has also had its fair share of dodgy owners. Luckily the latest owners are on the good side of the fence and the Miners is back to a friendly, welcoming place with good drinks at a fair price.

Lovely little local boozer in Rivershead near Sevenoaks.... I didn't have any food, hence the mid ranking.

Went twice - kitchen wasn't open either time despite a menu board on display at the bar. Regulars were very welcoming which made all the difference. Love that it's dog friendly.

Lovely place with a very pretty beer garden. Could do with some lights for the evening as your sort of sat drinking in the dark, but its still a lovely space. Very friendly staff and a nice selection on tap.

The kareoke was absurdly loud making it very unpleasant regardless of singers. Needed to turn the volume down. Do not recommend.

A most enjoyable visit. Friendly and helpful staff, a fine pint of beer from the Gadds brewery in Ramsgate and a delicious - and generous - plate of home made chilli con carne, priced at just £8.50. An easy walk from Dunton Green train station. I look forward to visiting again.

Nipped in for a few beers as its my friend local not that he has been down the pub much since moving into the area, been down evert weekend for last few weeks. Great tasting beer, great garden for the good weather. Friendly staff. The beer is about £4-5 a pint but let's be honest its the same price everywhere except the weatherspoons and who wants to go there

Didn’t eat as my partner and I visited purely to see Scam 69 band. We were greeted by the friendly landlady and landlord (I assume) as soon as we walked the door. Great service, lovely garden and pub. We had a very pleasant evening and will definitely be returning. Thank you for making us welcome

Got lost in Dunton Green, stopped in for some help to find a way to Westerham and what a great choice! Bar staff were amazing, locals were super friendly and the pub has a really cosy atmosphere. Beer quality was sublime and I’d happily come back to this great boozer! Thanks again for the help, especially to the barmaid for arranging a cab!

Very good pub to visit with friends, staff are great, beers are decent and nice back garden. Have singers on occasions and a juke box for song requests. Well run pub in a nice area, can’t ask for much more.

Visited last Tuesday a charming very helpful girl behind the bar. Good beer and a very generous ham sandwich. Exactly how a pub should be and the locals were friendly.

Staff are easy and cheap 50 will get you a lost soul with a cheap at the start but expensive on the side. Bar maids stink of fish

Called in at lunchtime on a CAMRA trip. Three real ales available, two local and all in good condition.

Such a lovely pub, great atmosphere, and Emma the manageress is such a friendly lady, ever so accommodating. Never before have I seen such an amazing array of gins!

Not absolutely the most local local, speaking distance wise, but near enough - and fulfils all the criteria of what a true local should be. No airs and graces,but quietly they know exactly what they are doing with the Quality Control, and this most definitely applies to the excellently kept and poured Cask Ale -

...giving an honest service by people who actually give a sh*t you've stepped through the front door. Originally went there on the proviso "the blonde haired guy behind the bar likes a laugh" as per a review. Have never seen this guy but have had lots of laughs regardless.

Went their after a funeral, at a lunchtime had a few beers with a friend. Looking around it looked an interesting pub, live music on some evenings a beer garden like Thailand bamboo thatched roofs,. etc Skysports room. Spoke to nice bloke in garden. Nice change from gastropub full of squares and yummy mums. Shame I live so far away.

We had a fantastic evening, very very friendly Staff, we went to the Miners Arms to watch our local band, 'RANDY and the ROCKETS', it was there very first gig there and they didn't let us down and we can't wait until they got back there again.

Popped in last week with my next door neighbour, now apart from the fact the pub could do with a fresh lick of paint all was not bad, we ordered a pint of beer & a pint of lager, we both commented on how good the drinks were, we then went into the garden suprised at how big it was and how weather proofed it is, we stayed for another 2 pints each, service was excellent with staff bringing out fresh pints without us having to get out of the very comfortable sofas, we went home very happy, not sure if they serve food.

Fantastic staff made us feel very welcome. Large beer gardens. We went to see a band there great atmosphere. Thank you

Good selection of beers on tap. Friendly accommodating staff. The bar has a great large outside area to enjoy a drink in the afternoon sun. Would recommend giving it a try.

The Miners made a lot of changes to their back garden in Lockdown with sofas in a sheltered area, a wood burner two large thatched shelters and new picnic tables across the garden and a new play area for kids at the top of the garden. We were served at our table all night and had a thoroughly pleasant evening! Definitely recommend a having a drink at The Miners Arms, will be frequenting more often! 👍🏻

Not so good as it was. Sometimes it is ok, sometimes not so. It very much depends on who is behind the bar and who is in charge! But has the potential of being a very good pub.

They have a lovely back garden and are child friendly, with a small play area for youngsters. Service is quick and friendly. They accommadate for parties, of which I had. We had a fire pit in the back and there is a covered smoking area, should you want one. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and since it was in November, it was great to stand/sit around the fire pit. They have just started getting bands in to play and since it is reasonably priced, I highly recommend this 'Local' pub.

The Landlord and Landlady as well as all the staff I met during my 4 day visit to Sevenoaks were extremely friendly and patient with my friend and I who visited every day in various states of semi-inebriation! The garden is very impressive and the jukebox more than catered for our varied tastes. Highly recommended for a few drinks and some good craic!

Visited the Miners Arms in Dunton Green on Sunday. Sat in the lovely revamped garden with grandchildren and friends Had a lovely time. Very friendly staff and owner. Recommend as great local pub.

I often go to the miners, management very friendly, polite and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. What they have done to the garden is fantastic and it’s a lovely large sunny area to spend an afternoon / evening in. When they provide entertainment it’s always good, quality entertainment. All in all a lovely family run villiage pub

Came here recently to meet a friend and have a quiet pint. The prices were good and Mark behind the bar was a very happy chappy and great to have a laugh with.Was a really nice atmosphere and Marks quirkiness made me feel like I was down my local and not a few towns away. I'll definitely be coming here again!

The Miner's Arms is easy to find on the London Road near to the Tesco store in Dunton Green. Inside, the pub is exceptionally clean and the decor has the traditional 'locals' pub feel with a pool table, dartboard and TV showing sports. Only one real ale on offer but is was well kept. Staff were pleasant. Handy for a quick pint.

The Pub: Looks rough from the front, terrible overgrown back garden (with dog poo), limited beer and wine selection. No food offered (unless you count a bag of nuts! hanging from the bar). No Sky Sports (I think they have BT Sports instead? who watches that?)

La última vez que fuimos a este pub hace un par de años y recuerdo que como un pub local decente, nada pretencioso, pero una buena, agradable, limpio y relativamente cómoda pub local que también ofrecía comida (parecía que la foto en la página de Tripadvisor). Sobre esa base nos detuvimos para tomar una copa en la zona.

We went here to eat having seen the reviews plus huge 'Good Food' sign outside. Apparently, according to the staff, they 'have not sold food so for years' . The place also smelt of bleach. So germ-free but nothing to eat!

Thank you to the Miners for a great night's entertainment with the Varlies. Great pub , good prices and at last sorted the ladies toilet.

Los mineros es una prometedora Dunton verde además de cocina! La noche tailandesa cada primer y tercer miércoles del mes es un favorito en particular. El servicio es siempre alegre. La comida es siempre fresca. Nos dieron un montón de amor por este lugar!

Vivimos muy local y utilizada para beber en la Bullfinch pero ha empeorado así que decidí probar los mineros! Qué gran poco pub, hemos bebido allí un par de veces y pasamos bank Holiday domingo para el festival de la cerveza! ¡una noche fabulosa que tuvimos, el Hog asado y barbacoa era realmente bueno y el ambiente era fantástico! El personal es muy amable y acogedor! estamos aún a prueba la noche tailandesa que he oído cosas geniales! Este pub es sin duda vamos a nuestro nuevo local! El único inconveniente es que no está abierto para almuerzo durante la semana

Este pub puede que no parece que los más acogedores desde fuera, pero no dejes que esto te desanime. El personal es muy hospitalario, y los clientes habituales está orgullosa de el lugar. Si he vivido un poco más cerca que nunca sería casa!

Having moved to the area about six months ago, the Miners Arms has quickly installed itself as our favourite local pub. The landlord and staff are friendly and welcoming, there is a big garden for those summer days, and the food is delicious with a well thought out and executed menu - the food all being freshly prepared and cooked - something which is really apparent from the quality and taste. In addition the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month are Thai night with an authentic Thai chef and the food on those evenings is also amazing. There's also a good range of beers and wines. The perfect local, whilst being welcoming to those from outside the area!

We used to drink in the bullfinch in riverhead but after new management came in it seemed that he was not the kind of person that is suited for this area! He was rude and treated his staff with no respect, not to mention the customers! Anyway as we'll all left en-mass we decided to scout around for the best pub to start drinking at!THE MINERS ARMS was the one we chose! A great pub with a great landlord and great customers! Pint served with a smile and some great banter with the staff.Keep up the good work guys, I'm sure more like us will come to drink at the miners arms and leave the bullfinch and there terrible "new management"

We moved to Dunton Green in Feb 2013 and this is now our local. To be honest we had a bit of trepidation to start with as the pub is not the most glamorous, with formica looking tables, it seemed quite functional. But we were really impressed with the friendly landlord, good choice of beer and wine, and reasonable prices. It's clear that the landlord is very committed to making it a nice place to be; the one time we were in there and some dodgy kids turned up he made it very clear that he would not tolerate drugs or any other rubbish on his premises (and we have seen a lot of that around the area in other venues) and we haven't seen them again. Recently they have started doing food and it really is the best pub food around. The burgers are fantastic, homemade and freshly cooked with good ingredients, as is everything we have had there, and twice a month there is a Thai food night and the food was great, the best Thai food in Sevenoaks in my opinion. So..my advice is to try it. I don't mean to be rude to the pub by saying that appearences can be deceptive, and in this case they definitely are.

This is a local's pub, but even non-locals are made feel very welcome by Terry and Debs behind the bar. The atmosphere is of a traditional village pub where emphasis is on good chat rather than load music. Everyone I've taken there has had a great evening. Highly recommended! Jim
