The Falcon in Havant

This was my first of many Festive dinners and it did not disappoint!!! £20 for a 3 course festive dinner, with a glass of bubbly was fantastic value for money. The portions were generous, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were attentive. If all my festive dinners go this way I will be a very happy (and full) customer. First visit to the pub with my family and we had a great welcome from the Landlord and staff. They put a rugby match on especially for my brother in law to watch and moved to another part of the pub so they didn’t disturb us. It’s a big spacious pub with a lovely garden out the back for the kids to play in. Nice and clean & lovely friendly service by the staff. Thanks guys.

This has changed hands since my last visit and is undoubtedly much better than it was, service was quick and friendly, good selection of lagers, poor selection of ales and when I tried it the lines obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. Lager next time, lesson learned, but still a much better experience than my last visit

Not sure what has happened to this pub as it quite frankly resembles a crèche! No one checking ID either. Didn’t stay very long as there was no social distancing or masks being worn despite the restrictions still being in place. Didn’t help that the staff were talking about the number of positive Covid cases they’ve had! Was totally shocked about the blasé attitude. Going back? Not a chance!

Lovely clean and friendly pub , food was lush .... Deffo worth a visit. Staff all lovely and welcoming.

Brilliant service, staff were quick efficient and friendly, fantastic food! All meals were faultless. All my fiends enjoyed their food.

Staff are on point and very polite. Very clean and tidy inside and out. Good variety of beers, ales and spirits. Food is top quality.

First day open. Outside only. They clearly worked hard and spent money to improve the outside space for all weather's. Lots of separated tables. Busy, but room under cover to avoid the worst of the wind etc! They moved 2 tvs outside for the sporting fan people to watch. Lovely lunch. Basic pub food, but well' cooked and nice presentation. Perfect egg! We enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.Well done the falcon!

Travelling from London we stopped off at the falcon for a beer and a bite to eat. The owner recommended the cheeseburger, actually claimed it was a best seller. Unfortunately what I ate was uncooked horsemeat and I have been neighing ever since. Would highly recommend having a tetanus jab before entering. Hopefully the RCPA shut them down before more people gallop out of there unwell

Sh*t mate. No Lemon gin and no unicorn gin. I wanted to be on the floor but NO. Not happy wouldn’t recommend for anyone who likes lemon gin not worth it at all. Ruined my night completely

Called in for a few drinks before going going out for a curry, never been in the falcon before this as its quite hard for my friends and I to get together. We first sat down in the lounge area where we met as a group but the dj was getting things ready for the night ahead so it got a little loud and we decided to move to the other end which was no issue at all, the big sofa was accommodating better than pulling tables together.This is a very friendly pub with all different age groups and everyone talking with everyone, very welcoming! The lady behind the bar was the most welcoming from the moment I entered the falcon, she served us very quickly and helped us sort our tables but when we moved she took to table service (which I'm sure is not in the job description with it being such a busy spot!) she went out of her way but not just for my party as I watched she had such a friendly way with everyone so I pointed this out to her and she thanked me! This young lady is a credit to the falcon and I hope to be greeted by her again soon, I'm so sorry I did not catch her name but she had an astonishing accent! Definitely will be back and would highly recommend thank you!

Came here with friends for a cheeky New Year's Eve early afternoon drink. New owners, how much better it is now. Lovely selection of beers and well kept. Friendly staff too. Nice to see it back to its best again.

We have lived just over the road from the Falcon for more than three years and decided to pop in for a drink recently to check it out as there aren’t any other pubs within close proximity. As soon as we walked in the ladies behind the bar were welcoming and we were served straight away. The pub wasn’t massively busy (it is quite spacious inside) but there was a good atmosphere and everyone was enjoying themselves. We played pool and had some drinks. Kids and dogs are welcome in the pub which is handy for us as we have both. We have been back with the kids who were also welcomed and definitely will be back over Christmas. Thanks for making some new customers welcome :)

I'd been here before, so visiting friends I said we should go, I was warned it's changed hands and gone downhill since, but my goodness how much is staggering. We walked in, the landlord saw us come in, he carried on smoking and talking to the very few people who were in, then started doing something else. When he finally decided to serve me, it appeared to be a chore, all first choice beers were off I was told. So getting a couple of pints of some beer, when it came it was cloudy as anything and tasted awful, I took them back, to be told there was nothing wrong with them, I couldn't be bothered to argue, we left and we won't be back.

So I only popped in to this pub on my way home from that dreaded Q,a and decided I live near so I can pull up car n walk home after wee tipple treating myself to a whisky.. Not knowing anyone there and also kinda wanting to be by myself. I got a drink and went to the back corner of the establishment ( couches ? Sweet :) oh nice pillows and a wee throw blanked ) to relaxe n listen to my meditation beats. Now obviously the staff noticed the strange Scottish guy that had never been in beforehand but happy Tae leave me be n do my thing. So I go back to bar later n speak to door man in passing we get chatting.im introduced to staff n owners. All very nice people. Day two I go back near closing. There is some pool thing going on. I go back to my new Spot and start my chakra research n notes .everyone was friendly again owners even said hi n gave me sum free food that was for the pool lot. Much appreciated :) . So in all great pub . Friendly owner n staff . Juke box, pool table . I believe they have a band every last Friday of the month ?? I think .they also do karaoke and DJ aswell. Can't rate it highly enough n I've only been there twice. Fully recommend the place. :)

Fantastic pub for a few drinks with the lads. Music had great variety, will definitely be making a return visit.

Loved over the road to this pub for two years or so but never ventured over. Looks like the decor is quite new and done to a good standard. Down side was drinks are pricey for a local pub and it felt a bit stark, needed some soft seating mixed in with the pub chairs and tables. It would help it look less like a local boozer and more like a place that could appeal to wandering visitors looking for a cozy quick drink. Nice enough though and as very local will most likely go there again.

As a group off 7 we came for breakfast, instead of all seperately writing a review we left it to 1 member to say how dissapointed we were with the so called all you could eat breakfast, but with the response of the manager i must put forward that we were all very dissapointed with our meals, not one person ate everything on their plate as most of it was made cold by the beans which were not even room temp they were fridge cold and did not come out before half of us had tried to eat as much as they were willing to eat. We where told to try the pub by one of your locals but as i live very near we choose there as i dont drive, we will not be giong there again. Your reply to our one spokesperson was very rude and as such i will hope people reading this will understand that is not how you deal with customers as in all customer service situations the customer is always right unless off course you are the manager off the Falcon !

I came here for lunch with friends on Friday, I was here some years ago and it has had a make over with new management, the landlord was very friendly and couldn#t be more helpful, I had the homemade pie and chips, very tasty if not homemade but then the price and this is so reasonable that with the friendly service and good atmosphere I would recommend this pub for lunch. Relaxing and enjoyable expperience. I will be back next time I am close by.

lacking in every department, Arrived at 9 having been told it was all you could eat which it wasn't it was a plated set breakfast or pay per item. no music or atmosphere. I ordered first out of 7 of us and got mine last, beans came out fridge cold but where replaced with piping hot ones, sadly it was as we had nearly finished but we appreciated the effort. It was all too greasy but maybe I'm just too fussy. We ate with the cleaner moping around us and the window cleaner cleaning windows around us although at least it shows its regularly cleaned and it was spotless. It would have been nice to walk into a warm smile, the radio in the background and maybe some friendly chat. Will not return.

Good drinks, can be a bit hectic at times, but good quality bear available and a nice Indian located down road for after drink curry.

Clean, bright, polite, pub. Plentiful well cooked tasty food and a nice drink as well. Not a pub person but might well be if they were all like this one.

This pub has had a make over, it is nice and clean and friendly but it has lost it old fashioned. It also got lot smaller because where there have put snooker table so is you have a disability person .

Could not believe how bad the service was, and how rude the man was who I can only assume was the manager? ( large older man ) when I asked if he could reheat our meals as they were luke warm you would have thought I had insulted him! He was so aggressive that we did not feel we could ask him when the food was originally cooked? As it tasted stale and old.

After reading all the reviews, I'm inclined to think honesty is not honest....the kitchen in the falcons under reconstruction and are coping extremely well ,as all other reviews show on here as well as there facebook page ....obviously you have a problem....thanks for the constructive criticism though .. we will do our best to take it on board

8 of us went for a quiet drink & bite to eat mid week it wasn't busy but by the time some of us got our meals the others had finished

I have lived near this pub for years and it has not been in the best of hands until recently. Mike and Claire have done a great job bringing the pub up to date. Although I have had a pint or three in here tonight was the first time I have eaten. With my son and his girlfriend we thought we'd give the food a try. Not a large menu but freshly cooked, very tasty and exceptionally good value. If you're passing or fancy a good meal with great hosts then give it a try. 3 very satisfied fussy eaters already looking forward to next time.

We were invited to our aunties funeral & wake on thurs 29th dec to the falcon and was not disappointed even on such a sad day,the food was tremendous and the staff 1st class thanks for putting on a lovely buffet from the osgood and Haines family"s

Have been here several times since the new people have taken over and it's great to have a local pub in walking distance again! We've been with our little girl a few times and they've been incredibly accommodating to us and they have a great garden for little people to run around in! They've recently started serving food and while cheap it's very tasty! The Scampi was very hot and crisp as were the chips, my husband had the curry and a pint for £6.95! We've recently been back for Pie night and that was delicious too! It's not Michelin starred but it's cheap, hot, decent food at a fantastic price! It's Fish and Chip night tonight so may have to take a stroll over for that too!

Had the curry on curry night, £6.95 including a pint. Well worth it as the portions are ample and tasted great. Chips were fresh and very hot!
