We were the only diners so not much of an atmosphere. We were well looked after tho. No offer of desserts or coffee. Guess they wanted to close early. It was 9.30

This is an ok pub about a 15 minute walk from the nearby Premier Inn. It's clean and the prices are ok, it doesn't have much character. The Indian restaurant attached to it didn't appear to be serving. All in all average .

Went in and happened to see a band called wicked grin. A great band and a great atmosphere.

Went here for a dine in Indian rather than a takeaway and the food was just as good. Definitely be visiting again and the bar service was very nice as well.

Difficult to walk into a locals pub and complain that the Doombat is off.... But I did... and without any fuss the barrel was checked and was indeed found well into the "smeg". This was sorted and beer consumption continued until it was curry time round the back. 🍺👍🍺

Food is absolutely delicious. A wide choice of food and everything we have ever chosen has been tasty. A quiet small treasure, tucked next to yet separated from a pub. Service is warm and welcoming.

Nice little pub and Indian I'm one place

Went to this lovely pub on Saturday 26th November had a lovely meal in the Indian restaurant very reasonable. Then moved on to the pub. What a lovely friendly atmosphere all the locals lovely. The landlord was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic menu of unusual curry dishes mixed with other Asian flavours. Also have the standard regular curry's you would expect. Connected to a pub so drinks flow very well and the service is great. All food is cooked fresh and staff are friendly. Live music is a plus with some great bands.

Great pub with friendly hosts, good beer and wine. Added benefit of a brilliant Indian restaurant/takeaway on site..lovely staff too.

After our bad experience in the restaurant next door,we went into the Golden lion pub,the staff especially the pub manager and her fellor made us feel really welcome,had such a laugh with them both , including some of the locals,just a big thankyou, customer service second to none Dave and Alan from Manchester

Only locals welcome. I went in after having a really bad day. Just wanted to relax and do what we all do when we're stressed out. Because my face wasn't known it was made clear I wasn't welcome, thanks to the disgusting barmaid and her supporting alcoholic local's. Got abuse from the barmaid then of course the two local alcoholics would step in. It's funny, we always expect it to be the next generation of hooligans but you are not welcome unless your a regular. I'm not one to retaliate but this place is not worth getting irrate about. You just have to rise above it.

This is only my 2nd ever one star review. We have visited loads of pubs and restaurants since they were allowed to reopen and this place was horrific with regards to the Covid guidelines. We walked in and knew straight away, we regret not walking right back out. We drank our drinks in the garden to be as safe as possible. Let me spell it out. No track and trace details requested or taken. The pub was full, no reduced seating or spacing. But the worst, and what is actually prohibited in the government guidelines, was the entire length of the bar has 6 to 7 people sat at it. To order my partner spoke over them, trying not to get too close. No table service (which even the smallest,independent bars we have been to have managed) so when the drinks were poured he had to lean between 2 older men to collect them from the bar. At this point one even turned and breathed right in my partners face. I am so close to reporting this pub to the authorities. We all have been through tough times and establishments are allowed to open safely. This place flouted all the rules we have seen. Do no go here if you want a safe place to drink in this current climate.

Found this place on Tripadviser having failed to find a decent restaurant in Havant and so pleased we did. Staff really friendly, decor pleasant with plenty of space between tables. Food excellent and portion size good. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Came here with friends last night, as heard the Indian food was good+it certainly didn't disappoint!!!! The food was delicious, between us we had Bahgi starters, Biryani, Balti and Dansak mains and the portions were so huge we all took some of our meals home, which the waiter was happy enough 2 put in containers 4 us. No drink menu as you buy drinks from the pub part of building. Plenty of takeaways being collected and they do delivery. Definitely worth a visit 😀

We booked for awake here one afternoon.The staff where helpful and considerate at this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble all our guest where welcomed and felt comfortable.they had a good time . Nice place excellent staff welcoming atmosphere what more could you ask. Awful people, never known a restaurant to be so unfriendly and unhelpful. The food was lovely, however the staff and owners ruined it by their unfriendly attitude.

Ok welcome once the locals finished turning their noses up at us... staff were friendly, good service and nice range of beers. The adjoining curry house makes you feel hungry though. Looking forward to our next visit.

First time I had been here. To be fair I knew nothing about the pub itself. Never even had a drink here. Very friendly and humerus staff. We had four different curry’s and they were all very good and tasty too. Very reasonable pricing. The pub and Indian are separate concerns. So the drinks bill is separate to the food bill. Over all very impressed. Will surely go back again for more food. Very nice night out. It’s a shame that the pub closes at 20.30 on a Sunday. As we had to leave. We would choose another night next Thank you for good food and a lovely evening.

An OKay curry house. Having lived in London and travelled afar it's just okay. Would I go again? Only if my local friends want to go, personally I'd sooner relax and spend my good money elsewhere. I advise you to do the same.

Great meal, nice to find a spicy alternative to a korma

In terms of Indian food it's delicious although a tad pricier than normal but if you have chips with your meal steer clear. They give fries thinner McDonald's literally no potato in them ruins my meal...if they served proper chips I'd come every week instead I come once or twice a year when I fancy a change from my usual

Mid week evening, fairly quiet pub with some rather tinny sounding music out of the bar speaker. It's okay but just average. The Indian restaurant within the pub but separate from the bar has separate reviews under Masala Lounge.

The curry is devine and the naan was so light I didn't even feel bad for eating it. Really great food, will definitely visit again

Nice little quiet pub. First time we had been in there for a drink seemed very friendly old school pub. Was nice to see it horse racing on TV rather then football. Also it looks as though it sells food which we didn't try but will look at giving it ago.

We have visited quite a few times now and it has always been consistently cooked to perfection. Real chicken too which is a rarity these days. Atmosphere friendly and surroundings lovely. Oh and you can have as much coffee as you like!

Simply the best takeout in the area.

Had to wait 50 minutes for a takeaway even though we'd phoned through, then they forgot some of our order. The chicken was actually just chicken with a sauce poured on top. First and last time - pity really because I only live round the corner from the place.

Popped in this traditional pub when in the area visiting family, made to feel welcome straight away from the barman and locals alike had a 8 year old with us who locals talked to, then went in the Indian part of the pub and had a fantastic meal which was very reasonable prices (recommend the rugby korma, a man's spicy korma) Highly recommend

Gran idea un restaurante indio en el pub. Cerca de la estación de tren de bedhampton. Cogimos el 2 minutos en tren de Havant y puedes ver este lugar al salir de la estación. Recibimos un servicio excelente durante nuestra visita de un camarero muy agradable. La elección del menú es muy bueno. Probé un plato delicioso avestruz. Cada plato que elegimos estaba muy bien preparado. Parece que están ampliando el restaurante pronto. . que vale la pena probar.

Nos encontramos cruzando la Massala-jeera Lounge en el Golden Lion Bedhampton. Gracias a Dios no, este tiene que ser una de las mejores comidas indias hemos comido. Este restaurante es una verdadera joya, la comida era fresca y el servicio muy amable. El restaurante merece hacer bien y espero que lo hagan. No dudaría en recomendar este.

The food and service was superb couldn't fault it in any way ,and the landlord made us feel very welcome , without a doubt this is the best Indian we've had!!

We visited the Masala lounge this week, and was very pleased with the service and the food was cooked really well, definitely go back again and it is now one our our favourite indian restaurants.
