Member of staff quite rude, I asked for mocha- didn't realise until got into work she gave me a latte. Made to wait while she also empty dishwasher with no thank you for waiting

I live in Old Amersham and had a friend staying. We just wanted a light lunch and cold drink as it was very hot. The staff were very welcoming and gave us excellent service. Highly recommended.

Visited the pub during time festive period. I must say I was thoroughly impressed with what they had put on entertainment wise. Especially over that time it's a little difficult but I thought they had done amazing. And also as someone who doesn't drink, they had a good amount of alcohol free to choose from so was happy with my drinks aswell. Bar staff Made me welcome with that too. Will visit here again :)

Sunday lunch. They were very busy but still managed to accommodate 5 of us with little fuss. Could not fault. Highly recommend

I chose the Red Lion randomly as a venue to meet friends halfway between both our homes and what a good choice it was! A warm welcome on a grey damp Tuesday and although the pub wasn’t busy, there was a very nice atmosphere created by the staff and a few jolly locals (?) at the bar! The food was great and the service was excellent.

Probably the best pizza I've had in a pub. Apart from that the pub is in picturesque surroundings, the staff are friendly and helpful, the beer is well kept and the food is lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

We stopped in thinking we’d have a coffee or tea on our way past. Bear in mind that this is listed as a café and there is a huge coffee machine in the bar area. We asked if there was a list of hot drinks available. The young man behind the bar is condescending and rude. He said there was no list because ‘it’s not a café you know’ but then was unable to tell us what was available and got in a huff. We left.

I recently visited The Barn in Chichester for breakfast with some guests, and it was an amazing experience! Although this wasn’t my first visit, it was just as wonderful as before. The atmosphere is so charming, especially with its lovely garden and quirky, outrageously fun shed seating in the courtyard. It was such a unique touch and made the experience even more memorable. We all loved sitting in the shed, which added a fun and playful vibe to our meal. The food, as always, was delicious. The Barn is an ideal place for both breakfast and brunch. The service was exceptional, with a sweet waiter who made us feel right at home. The whole setting, from the china teacups to the knick-knacks in the decoration, created a wonderfully unique and cozy atmosphere. Every little detail added to the charm of the place. I ordered the Welsh Rarebit, and it did not disappoint! Rich, flavorful, and perfect for the setting. My guests were equally impressed, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend The Barn for anyone looking for a cozy spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and a quirky touch that you won’t find anywhere else. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Costa in Faringdon is a fantastic spot for a great coffee and a relaxing break. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating and a clean, well-maintained space. The coffee is always spot-on, rich and perfectly made, and the selection of snacks and treats complements it beautifully. Whether you’re after a quick takeaway or a sit-down catch-up with friends, this Costa never disappoints. The staff are friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. It’s a lovely place to visit and one I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area.

They close an hour early everyday

We are so lucky to have this wonderful pub in the village. The food is always very tasty and reliable. We had Sunday lunch, for the first time today & it was exceptional. The Roast Beef & Pork, with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans & cauliflower cheese, was faultless. Service is friendly & professional. Much recommended!

Our Morris dancing group ,every year, have our Christmas party at The Three Horseshoes . The food was fantastic. Served hot with good portions size. Staff were efficient and worked their socks off. Thank you all! We were given plenty of space for Christmas games. 38 people were very pleased with their time at this wonderful pub. The owners are fab! Highly recommend for functions
