Lovely restaurant, professional staff. welcoming, polite, great selection of lunch time menu. I can't recommend it more highly. Meals are reasonably priced and are great value for money.
Visited St Clement's for a significant birthday dinner. The restaurant had a lovely old-fashioned ambience and just for a change, the music was tasteful and played at an acceptable, low volume . The service was first-rate throughout.
I started with moules, which were excellent and came with a lemon-infused à la crème sauce, which was divine. That was followed by pan-fried halibut, with a risotto and whilst the halibut was cooked to perfection, I wasn't overly-impressed by the risotto. I explained to the maître d, that I was pretty exacting when it came to risotto, having been trained how to make it, in Venice, so perhaps I expected too much.
The above was washed-down with an excellent Touraine Sauvignon blanc.
I considered having a dessert, but found the menu lacking in classics, such as tarte au citron and traditional crème brûlée (they had one with rhubarb!), so I passed.
The meal wasn't cheap, but was reasonably priced and I would happily return to St Clement's.
Had pizza and dessert… enjoyable food, nice environment and friendly staff… easier to part in the area on main road or on side streets…
Relaxed environment, and not rushed to clear the table at the end of the meal.
Very nice pub, and food was good. Gutted no crackling with pork but veg was nice. £5.50 for such a small dish of cauliflower cheese was not value. Staff were lovely and amazing. Few things that lets it down, was it was freezing the part we were in such a big room with a radiator opposite. Needs one where the fireplace is. Also poorly lit.
We spent a lovely month on Woburn green and it's fair to say that Dolce Vita was the highlight of our vacation. The staff and management are incredible and the kitchen makes wonderful and authentic Italian food. We sampled many menu items and were impressed by everything we had. Don't miss this wonderful dining experience.
