We’ve been to the Sultan twice in the last week. We are so thoroughly impressed with the whole restaurant and service (special mention to Jay and Redvin). They were all so lovely and friendly, with them accommodating our needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go. We were seated quickly with starters almost immediately. The food was brought out quickly and all piping hot and fresh. Was so impressed with the place. Cannot wait to go back again.

Ordered on deliveroo this evening. Great menu selection. Delivered 10 minutes before estimated time. The food was amazing and the extras included showed that this restaurant has it on point for anyone choosing delivery.

Me and my husband come here often, it's our favourite place to eat out. Food is excellent and never disappoints, service is always amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. 100% recommend ll.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sultan Indian Restaurant, and I must say it was an absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a memorable evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcome throughout our meal. The food was simply exceptional. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavours, and it was clear that only the finest ingredients were used. The lamb rogan josh was rich and tender, while the chicken tikka masala had the perfect balance of spices. The naan bread was soft and fluffy, and the rice was perfectly cooked. I also appreciated the variety of vegetarian options on the menu, all of which were just as delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food served. It’s evident that Sultan takes great pride in both its cuisine and customer service. Best biryani i have had for years, tasty - lots of it. The only downside is that it wasn't very hot when delivered. Easily remedied by the use of hot-bags.

Came here last night for a christmas works meal, first time being here and will 100% be back, by far one of the best restaurants around, food was incredible, staff was absolutely amazing and immaculately clean. Can't wait to come back again.

Food was very bad it was naan with tikka chicken, naan was saggy and in stuffing I can hardly see the quantity of chicken, very very bad experience. I am very very disappointed.

Very attentive staff, menu explained and new dishes pointed out and explained. We tried a new dish it was amazing, all the food was lovely. It was our first time and we will return.

The takeaway was just as tasty as the food served in the restaurant. It arrived hot and with no leaks. will order from there again.

I always use the sultan ...reasonable prices...very tasty food...always arrives on time....delivery drivers very polite...it's a win win all round.

On arrival everything was great, once ordered we waited around 45 minutes for our food to come out (there was only 2 of us) which is insane. We then had to send one meal back as we made a mistake and ordered the chicken tikka main not as a curry. After that the waiter was just straight up rude and made us feel very uncomfortable about it. He approached our table twice in a abrupt manor telling us to go and tell the boss that it was our mistake if not he's going to get sacked in his words, shaking his head at us and just really looked furious with us, mistakes happen and it was also an easy fix! We really didn't want to be there after that as we could tell he was treating us different to the rest. Food was nice but wouldn't visit again as the waiter put us off, wait time for food to come out.. oh AND £6 for a lemonade?! Crazy

One hour waiting for food turned up cold told they would re cook and deliver food. One hour later was told they didn’t say that and that I need to go to just eat to get money. First time visiting and definitely not the last ! Go early as I see it can get really busy. Food is really good best we had locally, highly recommended.We had many dishes and all were good. Vindaloo was really hot but good.The staff were good.This was Moms choice of restaurant to go for her Birthday. We wasn’t aware but they do have parking at the back of the restaurant as parking out front is difficult due to parking restrictions in front.

Was nearing closing time but staff were happy to accommodate us. Father in-law said his pathia was spot on but my bhuna was below par.

Sadly, this vista left us with a bitter taste in our mouth. The last time we went here we were advised to park in the car park at the back because we could not park on the road. We did the same this time and went up the stairs to the restaurant. We were greeted as we walked in and were shown to our table. Unfortunately we were not told that the parking arrangements had changed. The car park has been transferred over to a company who now send out parking charge notices to people if they do not enter their car registration in a machine at the counter. We received a £60 fine. When I rang and spoke to the manager of the restaurant he said there were signs up in the car park but, as I said to him, as we had been told to park there in the past, we assumed it was still okay to park there. At NO time did any staff member tell us about the change or advise us to put the registration number into the machine. If there had been a sign at the top of the stairs as you go into the restaurant at least we would have stood a chance of seeing it. If we had been about the new system we would have entered our details in the machine and avoided a fine. The manager told me that staff do tell people but on this occasion they didn't and there were 4 witnesses to that! A 'sorry' from him is just NOT good enough.

The food was fantastic we ordered a sharing starter and a lamb dhansak to share with 2 naans. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. The staff were lovely and very attentive, the service was fantastic. Thank you all and we will be back!

We booked a meal for four, with a couple of friends we had not seen for many years. We were quickly seated at a quiet table, in the reasonably busy restaurant. A drinks’ order was quickly taken and delivered but we asked for a little time to peruse the menu (we really wanted to chat, first). Then poppadums were served and we ordered several mains and sides (too many, as it turned out), but all were well-presented and tasty. Throughout, service was prompt, accurate and friendly. AND we’d had a good meal and caught up on twenty or so, missing, years.

Amazing food, brilliant service. Clean. A place for date night or to take the Family. We love this place and will return again soon

The food was pony , chicken was hard the butter chicken was more like concrete not butter lol , maybe have a look at Gurkha fire for some advice , £60 rubs up the walll , thought more of it being resturant wasn’t impressed at all. Me misses is crying I don’t know what to do . Thanks for ruining my date night it’s all on you, no seriously wasn’t great probably won’t eat from there again unless I’m gatterd

The staff were some of the kindest people I’ve ever come across in a restaurant, nothing was too much trouble and they happily helped us decorate our table for our girlfriend’s birthday. This was also her choice of restaurant to go for evening as she had been before and loved it. We were offered complimentary drinks for her birthday which was so lovely. We wasn’t aware but they do have parking at the back of the restaurant as parking out front is difficult due to parking restrictions. 5* from us and we will see you very soon :)

We come here as a family often. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. We were given a new black bean dish to try today and it ended up being my favourite, even above the ones we selected ourselves (we like to share). It’s a nice big space so we never feel squashed in. Everyone is chatty. Thanks everybody 🙏🏻

We enjoyed a lovely meal here for our 10 year anniversary tonight. Very attentive staff, helpful when my partner, who's quite adventurous, asked for a recommendation for his meal. The man who served us asked what sort of thing he liked and what spice level suited him and my partner really enjoyed the recommend dish that wasn't even available on the menu yet! My food was delicious. I had Keema and it was lovely. Our 4 year old seemed to enjoy what he ate of his Butter Chicken but didn't eat much, which was on us because we didn't take into account he'd had a cooked lunch at school! And we booked dinner for 5.30pm 🙄😂 But the manager came over to check if everything was OK with it because he saw he hadn't eaten much, which was thoughtful. After we finished our main course we said we didn't want dessert because we were so full and there was some food leftover so we asked for some takeout boxes which came out along with a cute penguin toy for our son which had ice cream inside. We hadn't asked for this so that was a lovely gesture. Our son loved it. We were also offered complimentary drinks at the end which was very kind but we just couldn't fit them in! 😂 We definitely recommend The Sultan. Lovely food, attentive staff who are happy to help with recommendations for food, kind to children. We don't think you'll be disappointed here.
