Great food Great service. I've tried many Indians around Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham but The Watling RASOI is the one for me. Beautiful decor friendly and helpful staff. wide range of choice from the menu, thanks to Ruko who suggested my main dish, what a good pick 👍. We'll definitely coming back soon.

We order home delivery, set meal for 2. The starter consisted of 1 prawn, 1 lamb chop & 1 piece of paneer sharing that between 2 was quite amusing.. half a prawn each? The onion bhaji were cold, hard on the outside & mushy in the middle(yum) the popadoms had less crunch than a lettuce leaf! The main was oily, sloppy & the chicken was dry, the onions were slimy, I’ve honestly had better microwave meal curry’s. Everything was barely warm & quite honestly a disgrace to Indian culture… AVOID.

Excellent food quality and good value. I even was able to see the chef's making meat samosa from scratch rather than just using frozen Well done!!

I got the notification that the order was out for delivery just before 6:30pm but it did not arrive until 7:05pm, when I called the restaurant to check up on ETA they said it had just been sent out 5 minutes earlier so this was inconsistent information - albeit it a polite delivery person and delicious food once received

Great local Indian restaurant. Recently ordered a delivery as have been let down on food quality by another in the area after years of loyalty. The food was so much tastier and the staff are pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Going for a sit down revealed how well the place is working and again, great traditional curry house fayre, just tasty, hot, fresh and no rank, soft meat that crops up so often now. We will be revisiting.

Very disappointed with the food. We have eaten here before and enjoyed the experience hence our return. The staff were polite and attentive. Sadly this time I was served a Butter Chicken dish which consisted of a few measly pieces of what can only be described as processed pre formed chicken? Each piece of meat floating in the thin uninteresting sauce was flat & round and did not resemble any form of chicken i’ve eaten before. My husband was also disappointed in the Dansak which again was measly & bland. We was also charged for poppadoms and dips which we hadn’t ordered and believed were complimentary? It’s a shame this is a modern clean restaurant with a great ambiance .. lacking in so many restaurants today ysadly our experience was spoiled by the inferior , bland food .

We discovered this restaurant back in May 2024 and have not looked back, the food is outstanding, the best we have had(!) and always tell the staff each time we visit. Poppadom with toppings followed by our starters, Tandoori King Prawn is my wife’s favourite, mine is Chicken Puri, our mains - Salmon and Chicken Tikka Masala, Sag rice/Egg rice, Onion Bhaji and Chips – the portions are plentiful that we find ourselves so stuffed mid-way through the meal, we ask to take the left-overs home; we aim to try various dishes but so far, I am the only adventurous one! The décor is lovely, the staff are always helpful and happy – we highly recommend it!

The dining experience where was incredible, we hadn’t booked a table but they accommodated us perfectly. The food was delicious and there were many options for vegetarians. The staff were incredibly attentive and they created a warm and chill atmosphere. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the food came out gradually and at perfect timing. We had samosas, partha, jalfrezi, popadoms and chutney, vegetarian curry, and some rice dishes. All of the above were delicious and they even give you warm towels to wipe your hands, orange and delicious mint chocolate. Thanks so much for your hospitality and the extra chocolate! :)

I have been going to this restaurant’s location for years. The new owners have transformed the menu and experience. The staff are friendly and the food very pleasing on the palette. I would recommend this restaurant.

Orde takeaway on farther day which the food was really good but two rices was missing from order. And couldn't get through on phone line was Presley surprised when two days later a complete meal was delivered.To are front door free of charge and we definitely recommend this restaurant to other.

First time there can't fault it will definitely come again

Absolute gem! Already knew the food was superb as i often order for delivery. Went for a sit down meal and never realised how nice the restaurant actually is. Excellent staff, delicious food and an absolute bargain banquet meal on Wednesday nights for under £16 per head. We could not finish it all as it was so generous and no corners cut on quality. Well worth a visit.

The Watling Rasoi never fails to deliver the most delicious, freshly cooked food. Delicious every time and my favourite Indian restaurant.

Another amazing evening at The Watling Rasoi which has got to be the best Indian cuisine for miles around. Some great things on the menu that I haven't seen anywhere else including the incredible curry I had which was flambeed in sambuca.Wow! Great taste and great theatre. Not pnly is the food fantastic but the staff are so friendly and funny and really want you to have the best time. Heartily recommend it!

When ordering our eta was 5.45. It then arrived at 6.25 after asking through just eat and then calling the resturant. Really disappointing, but the food was of a good quality

They forgot a dish and the order was ridiculously late. Main dishes were very average, worst mint sauce and chutney we’ve ever had. Will not be ordering from here again.

We felt very welcomed at this lovely indian restaurant, local to us. We always like to try new places and we weren't disappointed with this. Our food was delicious. The naan breads were light and fresh. The main dish was exciting on the tastebuds and we loved the crispness of the onion basis. The service was very good too. Would highly recommend.

In unfamiliar surroundings and looking for a nice Indian restaurant we found Watling Rasoi on Google. It seemed to have nice reviews and pictures looked good. We called on a Easter Thursday and managed to get a table within 15 minutes. Wow, it was lovely. A very friendly welcome and very accommodating even though we wanted a different table. Great selection of drinks and probably the best draft Cobra I've had in a long time. They even had Cranberry juice!.. Great selection of dishes, Salmon Tikka, and other Salmon dishes. Nice to see Broccoli side and Courgette side, we indulged in both 😁. Poppadoms were fresh crispy and Tasty with a good selection of chutneys. Garlic Chili Chicken was also very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient throughout the whole evening without being overbearing. Such a lovely find at last minute. Thank you very much guys we will be back.

Arrived nowhere to hang coats, our ordered drinks never arrived so had to ask for them, informed waiting staff we did NOT want poppadoms and sauces but they arrived and so charged for! Starters never arrived, when we asked they brought them out during main meal and you could tell were rushed as very greasy. Main meal was not as fresh and tasty as other visits. A lot of waiting staff but not at all attentive. Therefore overpriced for what service you receive. To be honest I will be going to another restaurant as many options so should keep customers happy. Very disappointing.

My mum treated me to this place today and when we walked in we already loved it. The waiters were so friendly and professional. They provided us with Christmas crackers (I got a pink Christmas hat, cards and a joke, my mum got a yellow christmas hat, plastic heart and joke). We were also given pommadums with different sauces. It was delicious. Anyway, moving onto the food. My mum got chicken tikka masala, rice and plain naan bread and Chardonnay to drink. I ordered chicken korma, rice, cheese naan bread and red wine. They made me and my mum feel right at home. Defiantly want to go back again.

Went in on spec, on a visit to attend a funeral. As I was alone, didn’t receive an exactly gushing reception on a Friday night. But . . .the Prawn Puri was excellent, big prawns perfectly cooked, crunchy. Lamb Saag was the best I’ve ever had, lamb cooked in the tandoor with just enough charring. Fragrant and delicious, with pilau rice. Two good pints of cobra, cold. Well worth £40.

I usually get take away and I have to say this is the best in medway towns. Great fresh taste, correct on level of spice, not too oily, delivery outstanding. Cannot fault it. Keep up the good work.

Just had a takeaway for the first time the chicken tikka masala was far too sweet, the saag bhaji was very salty and the naan bread was doughy the prawn Puri's we're dry sadly cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be ordering from here again

We have had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant twice so far and we absolutely love it! Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced! We would recommend to anyone looking for a great Indian and we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic we had the restaurant for the afternoon for family friends (24) to celebrate my granddaughter 18th Birthday .The staff were brilliant at suggesting ideas for menu for the buffet for 24.The planning service and attention was brilliant everyone thought the food was hot and very good . There are not enough words to describe how happy we were with this event .

To be honest I found the food a bit oily and bland, no real flavour or spice.

Just ordered a takeaway which was delivered. The guy on the phone was really nice and the food that arrived around 40 minutes later was absolutely delicious! We had the madras and Balti with some sides. They were just the right amount of heat, not oily and we’re now fighting over who has the last bit. Will 100% order from them again.

We were glad we booked Rosoi for a meal, was a last minute decision. We had not been to a restaurant for quite a while, so picked this place at ramdon. Great food, and plenty enough. friendly staff. Highly recommended.

One of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been too. If we can't eat out then we often order a takeaway. Nice ambience, friendly and attentive staff, excellent food and very clean facilities. We often come here as a couple or with friends and no complaints so far. We are visiting again soon.

Got a takeaway delivered…. Amazing food, great portions and all the meats - chicken, beef and lamb were so tender. Can’t praise it enough. Best curry we’ve ever had and this will now be our go to takeaway. Looking forward to dining in soon too. Honestly 100% the best Indian we have had and reasonable prices too by ordering on line 10% reduction!

We were looking for a new Indian takeaway as have been disappointed in the last couple we have had. This did not disappoint! Thoroughly recommend. The flavours were fantastic, the portions great and the meat, chicken, beef and lamb were all so tender. We have found our new go to takeaway. Fantastic job. Well done to The Watling Rasoi - we will also be dining in soon. Would give more then 5 out of 5 if I could, thank you for a wonderful meal and reasonably priced too.

The best tikka masala in the whole entire world. I now can’t eat at any other curry hosue without being disappointed it’s not the rasoi. Lovely staff and amazing portions <3

I went to this restaurant on 26th october 2022 for my 50th Birthday and what great professional service, wonderful food and wonderful surroundings and a very friendly atmosphere. I reckon this to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the Medway Towns. I've been using this restaurant since it opened, and I have no complaints whatsoever all I can say is keep up the great professional service that you all give. Well done to all. Brian & Mark

My first time visiting this restaurant and I was really pleased with the food. It's only been opened a short while at what was the site of Ace of Spice. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and the service was fast. Food was delicious, and not your typical Indian menu which gets a bit boring after a while. I will certainly be returning and I wish them every success here.
