Normally my ‘go to’ Indian. Sadly my meal was disappointing last night. The dish was not full of the flavours promised in the description, in fact I think they actually forgot to add the coriander.

Absolutely love this place, BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN KENT. It’s set up in a lovely cottage just off of lower Rainham road next to the Three Mariners. Me and my partner refuse to eat a curry anywhere else as we know it just won’t be as good. The food, service and atmosphere is unbeatable, it’s fairly small but the idyllic cottage setting makes it worthwhile and an enjoyable experience. There is parking round the back of the cottage too, never had trouble getting a space. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a new Indian restaurant or just a nice meal. Prices are very reasonable too considering the quality of food and the setting of the place itself.

Access is a bit tight too the park at rear. Very accommodating. Friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, chilled music. Food was very good & served on hot plates. We’ll be back of course

I always say that a lot of Indian restaurants in ano around the local Medway and surrounding areas or all fairly within the same level and can't at times tell between them. This however really surpasses and makes for what is a brilliant meal out. The place, people, food and all in all service is just great. I'll be back for more of the great flavour for sure

The problem I have with this place is that is overpriced for what you get in comparison with other options in the area, because of this fact I'll be less tempted to come back any time soon.. Verdict: Good but Overpriced... 😅

We ordered take away. Food was amazing and delivered in a good time. They also called to check the allergy that I have after I had placed the order. There's very few restaurants that do this so I will be going there in future.

Had a take away for the first time from here . Food was bland, no flavour. Korma chicken was tough. Bhuna,I have had a lot of Bhuna over the years and this had no taste apart from a slight burnt grease flavour and looked nothing like any Bhuna that I have had before. Portion seemed a bit small also. Sadly will not be trying them again.

Half of the food was inedible! The lamb tikka curry was just greasy water and couldn’t be eaten at all. Very disappointing and unfortunately won’t be ordering again. The restaurant has gone down hill since opening

We pre ordered dinner for 8pm. We literally did this at like 5pm because obviously Saturday nights can be busy etc. it never arrived. By 840 i called and was told driver had left. By 9pm I called again and was told it had been delivered.. which it hadn’t. Shame because the food is lovely but poor service. Won’t be ordering delivery again unfortunately. Hopefully we will get a full refund for the meal we never got!

A fantastic place to spend some time enjoying a great meal. One of the best restaurants I've been in, lots of choice for food and drink, kingfisher on tap is a bonus in my book, reasonably priced as well. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, received a warm welcome and the service was second to none. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely delicious food, waiting staff are very professional and friendly. Freshly cooked food that arrives hot and plenty of it! The atmosphere is really nice, relaxed and clean. I would absolutely recommend this place, it's probably the best Indian I've had in a long time.

Very disappointed with the biryani, overall it tasted like steamed rice, not enough spice but the lamb was tender. Chicken tikka masala was very red which is not what we’re used to. Am afraid I will not order from them again.

Had a lovely birthday meal with my wife, food was excellent and staff were very friendly.

What a brilliant evening. We had a party of 25 quests in the upstairs area. Was nice and private. Staff were quick to assist with drink orders clearing of plates. Even when we asked for a few special requests for some of the guests, that was also no trouble. Highly recommend, food, service, atmosphere just such a nice place.

Initially notified the delivery would be around 8.40 but then it changed in the app to 9.05-9.25 but arrived at 9.37. Not a big issue for us. The meal was very tasty but unfortunately only luke warm which was disappointing. We've eaten in the restaurant before and it was very good, so would try them again for delivery, hoping this was a one off.

Quite disappointed with the dhansak I ordered. It was way too spicy for a dhansak and I couldn’t eat it as I don’t like my curries too hot. Previous dhansak from here have always been mild.

Top quality Indian restaurant. Superb food. No overuse of food colouring in the kebabs, nice spicing and superb presentation. Lovely restaurant and clean toilets. Better still was the peerless service from Saif and his team. This restaurant was recommended by a work colleague and I’m pleased to report it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

It was my second visit to this restaurant. Very delicious food, served promptly by amazing staff. We really loved the food and hospitality, especially the owner was very charming.

Take our booking 3 weeks previous to our visit for a party of 14 and less than an hour before our visit they call us and cancel our booking stating they don’t take party bookings on a Saturday. Shocking service. Will never be going back there!!!

Originally booked for 7 but needed to change to 6 which was not an issue for the restaurant. Then we went and had the best evening. The staff are amazing, really friendly and helpful. The food is the best Indian based food in the Medway towns and the venue is still the beautiful barn. My only regret? I did not go their sooner.

First time here. Most of the food was lovely, although I was very disappointed with the biriyani as it had no flavour and none of the currys had any heat to them, side dishes were good, and garlic naan was exceptionally. Service was a little slow, but staff friendly. Will i go back, probably, but I will try other Indian restaurants first.

every time we order from here something is missing! today we had no coconut rice, had to have a microwave pouch of rice, food is always lovely but will think twice about ordering as we have never received the full order without something missing.

Lovely meal when we visited but when we ordered takeaway the quality is still there but the portions are a little mean so wouldn't bother a takeaway again for value for money.

I visited this lovely restaurant last night with my husband for our wedding Anniversary. We were made to feel very welcome, staff attentive and friendly. Surroundings are nicely decorated and there was a lovely ambience. The food was exceptional and we have been to many restaurants of this type. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and everything about our dining experience. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back. Thank-you to Sundar Rachana for making our evening special 🥰

The food was great, no mistaking that, it was really good. A shame they won't deliver to us at home! The service was a little lacklustre but we were told this was because some of the additional staff were stuck in traffic. Drinks didn't arrive as there was only one person that knew how to make certain cocktails and he was stuck in traffic. The manager may or may not have been the owner or a friend/relative left to run it in their absence, just a bit lacking really. The atmosphere was let down by the yobs eating a few tables down who were loud, crass and offensive most of the meal. Would definitely give it another go though.

Not the first time we’ve been her, nor will it be the last. A bit more expensive than your average “curry house”, but you get what you pay for ! Excellent food, and great service. Thoroughly recommend !

This is the second time I've been disappointed with Sundar Rachana. The food was cold on delivery and the meat was tough and chewy. Used to love this place but I wouldn't recommend it for a take away anymore. Such a shame as I was happy to pay a little bit more for a better quality but this is definitely was not.

Excellent restaurant - really pleased we went for a selection of dishes. The machley fry starter, grilled sea bass and lamb shank were all fab. Lively restaurant, so imagine you need to book well in advance. The staff are very attentive and make this a great place to dine. Would be a perfect venue for an office Xmas party. Thanks for a great evening!

Great night out with friends for a curry. Food was tasty and the staff were friendly. Only downside was the service was slow, we were left with menus for a good 20 minutes before they asked for our order. Couple of our party complained as they had asked for spicy but dish turned out to be rather mild. Lots of parking around the back.

A lovely venue in a converted old barn, a really nice cosy bar area to sit and have a drink. The upstairs restaurant is very nice but a little too dark for my eyesight. Good menu with different offerings to the usual. Generally the food is good. The Pashwari Naan is the best we have ever had. The Prawn dishes are very good. However for me personally I always find the chicken not as tender as I would like and the Dhansak is too mild, it should have more spice.

First meal here and sorry not that impressed.. never been to an Indian restaurant with no table cloths! Food was bland and chicken was tuff Rice was very nice and the waiters was friendly Not sure if I would return Sat downstairs so maybe upstairs is a better atmosphere

Dodge like the plague! So disappointed not only with the food itself but the service. I would always try to support local businesses but I can’t with sundar rachana. The food was completely tasteless/bland, both curry’s had no flavour, by far the worst we have had. When complaining we were met with a member of staff that was confrontational and rude and nothing but in total dismissal to our opinion as to why we weren’t happy. Spend your money elsewhere as this shoddy establishment isn’t worth it!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Thought we’d treat ourselves to an Indian take away so thought we’d try this place. Wish I’d never bothered and saved myself £40. Every single dish was as bland as anything. My 11 year old daughter can make better. It was also cold. I’m not one to complain but after receiving such poor quality food I called the restaurant. The member of staff who answered the phone needs some training in customer service as he was horrendously rude. I wasn’t being rude so I don’t expect to be spoken too like the way he did to me! Save your money and order from Meridian Spice!

What a little gem. Booked last minute for my husbands birthday. First time here and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was cooked to perfection with loads of flavour. Kids enjoyed all meals, especially the Nan bread and korma curry. Was expensive but definitely worth the money. Would definitely come back again with friends and family!

Food arrived hot and was very nice. Pre ordered at 5pm for a 7.15pm delivery, by 7.40 no delivery and no update so called the restaurant who said would be another 10 minutes due to the road closure. Just an apology given, The roads been shut for months so felt this was a fob off. Shame as the food was nice but the experience was off-putting.

Butter chicken taste more like a chicken korma. Salad I received seemed a bit dead and disappointed there was no cucumber or onions to go with my sheek kebabs.

We had the whole restaurant for my wife’s 50th birthday and Saif did not disappoint. He was kind enough to let us decorate the restaurant and arranged everything for the 44 guests. The food is always outstanding but he really did a great job of feeding everyone a first menu with mixed starters and an assortment of chicken and lamb dishes with plenty of rice and vegetable sides. The onion bhajis went down a storm. I really can’t thank Saif and his team enough. This is a must visit restaurant if you appreciate good good and great service in extremely pleasant surroundings.

The food was nice. I was really disappointed it was all packaged in plastic though, unlike most Indian restaurants that use foul and cardboard.

Great curry. We had an aubergine starter that was brilliant and not something we’d encountered before. The service was really great and the new waiter Saifu was excellent, really helpful and interesting to talk to. Would highly recommend. A lot of people ask me what gets me in the zone before entertaining the masses (or sometimes just a few loyal legends at The Kings Head for karaoke on a Thursday) well a good meal and a pleasant chat is as good as any warm up or pep talk in my opinion… want to see what the curry can inspire then check out @itscliveo on Instagram

Very authentic indian food with great service and attention to details. The ambience is excellent. Good selection of wiines especially Gavi. Seafood starters are great. Good choice of meat curry dishes especially lamb lahorie. Lamb biriyani is very tasty hmmmm.

Went here for the first time last week. We were celebrating my sister's birthday. All I can say is wow 🎉 the food was delicious, atmosphere fab they had some authentic music playing. The service was brilliant. Will definitely be going again xxx

We had a superb meal here,celebrating our friend's birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff looked after us so well,offering birthday drinks . They were friendly and courteous. We'll definitely be back.
