My go to Indian in Medway, chicken dhansak and keema nanny to die for. Staff really friendly

Delicious food, staff are extremely friendly and professional. I have been here countless times and is by far the best Indian restaurant by far. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a delicious curry - make sure you book in advance on the weekends :)

Great food and value, lovely staff as well

Food gone down hill . last couple of times . all food tasted bland and salty one particular staff is so rude and literally slammed down take away part at the end of meal so hard it hit one of our party in the stomach unfortunately won't be going back we must have been going there for at least 4-5 years

Superb food but unfortunately they tried to charge us for a bottle of wine more expensive than the one we had. Hopefully this was a genuine mistake as we really love the food and haven't had issues before. We will give them the benefit of doubt. Another visit to this Indian and excellent service and food delicious. Updated rating from 4 to 5. Another visit to the Chefs of India, food as usual is very good however it is getting very expensive now and unfortunately we didn't check our bill when paying and noticed later 4 extra pints of Cobra appeared that we didn't have so we lost over £25! Be careful and check your bill they have made mistakes on our bill before.

Lovely staff my only thing they is they put a service charge on the bill witch you do not have to pay a tip is at your discretion so check the bottom of your bill

We are a Family of five included grandparents and one teen grandchild. All enjoyed the food, generous sized portions! And reasonably priced. The restaurant is clean, the staff were very attentive, couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you very much looking forward to coming again soon x

I love the naan bread, really tasty and nice. I found a used nappy in my meal which had brown stains in, no complaints though. I ate that out too. Yummy!

Delicious food and wonderful service

I decided to give this restaurant 5 stars because the staff were pleasant, food was excellent and service was great all within a nice contemporary atmosphere. I will say that I found some of the prices ( not all) were a little high and the fact a service charge to be automatically added in the bill was not to my liking. I intended to give a tip at the end but because of the service charge I decided not to bother. Overall I recommend giving this place a try, very nice food 👍.

One of the benefits of living in Hempstead is that this wonderful establishment is within walking distance. To have what I can only describe as the best Indian restaurant I've eaten in during the last 40 years (and I've eaten in a few!) is a privilege. The staff are attentive and polite and the food outstanding.

Lovely North Indian restaurant in Hempstead, Gillingham, Kent . Another hidden gem in Medway area serving authentic and mouth watering North Indian/Punjabi food. Beautiful interiors/decor, excellent service, very professional staff and very tasty food.. Have been there twice, and both times we had been sitted around very loud guests on table nearby...Enjoyed the food thoroughly but not sure if we will visit again due to high noise levels from other guests ..

Been using this Restaurant since Covid 19 first struck !! Owners are 4 gents who were treated extremely badly from a previous owner where they worked extremely hard . The place is spotless , the staff remember you and the food equal if not better than London based Michelin star restaurants. Ali the front man always makes you feel so very welcome, only advise please book for Friday and Saturday nights at least 2 weeks in advance along with the famous “ Sunday Buffet “ to die for . They are planning to expand in the SE competition watch out .

Really want to give this restaurant 5 stars all round as the food was absolutely beautiful, however it was overshadowed by our waitress staring at us all night making it clear they couldnt wait for us to leave.She was polite and attentive but would just stand staring at our table which felt weird. It says they are open until 11, we booked a table for 5 people for 7pm. We were the only table left by 9pm, and they really were making it obvious and uncomfortable for us to feel we needed to leave as quickly as possible. Such a shame, as it was our first time visiting and the food was so nice we would have booked it for a joint birthday party in April but because we felt uncomfortable we will look for another venue.

Went for the first time on Sunday for the buffet lunch. Very quiet at 12:30 but got much busier at 1pm. Food was very nice and the service staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning.

Probably not the best night to do a review as they were coping with 3 large birthday groups, one after the other. But it was loud. I left with a headache and barely heard our own conversation. The food was presented very well and overall nice flavours. Portion size generous, had to bring some home. Biggest shock was the price of papadums at £2 each! Would I go back maybe...

Absolutely delicious, couldn't fault anything!

Bit disappointed tbh ... Thought we'd try chefs as we'd heard good reports but half the chicken was dry and tough Flavour was was good but when you spend 10 per dish the meat needs to be spot on - not dry and chewy I cook a lot and I know you can't always tell if chicken breasts will be tough.

Really delicious meal, beautifully presented, excellent service and wonderful surroundings...I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and will definitely return...thank you for your hard work!

After being seated by the bar (no record of our booking) we were then taken into the main restaurant to be seated , the staff were friendly and courteous , both had starters , mixed kebab which was ok and the sheek kebab again ok but not outstanding. For mains the wife had the Chicken Dhansak which was superb I had the Chicken mirchiwala ( madras strength) which I'm still searching for any flavour , it was just a vaguely spicy masala. Restaurant very busy and perhaps a little too crowded, I love a curry but was a little disappointed with our collective experience and wouldn't hurriedly recommend this Restaurant despite being told by many how good it was maybe it was just an off night

Nice curry with the work friends, didn't realize they didn't have an alcohol license, but co-op round the corner you have a great choice, Food was spot on, large portions, graet flavor

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough Have been here twice now, once on a weekday evening and second to try their Sunday buffet. Both times the food and service was absolutely second to none. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the quality of the food is fantastic. Hats off to these guys for doing a superb job

Gorgeous food provided by friendly staff. The menu is varied with some sumptuous specials. Nice modern decor with good lighting.There is good parking on site.

Visited on a Friday evening. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked. The food was superb. The nicest Indian we've had in the UK (the Spice Route in Delhi just shades it, but that's South Indian food anyway). The dal makhani is the best I've ever had. Staff are friendly and helpful and the ambience bright, contemporary and cheerful. Customer parking at the back. Well worth a visit!

Second take away here tonight. Both poor. First dansak was dry and powdery and second chicken curry was salty. Keema naan mincemeat both times non existent. I won't be going back for a third time

First time visit It was very lovely. Call before you go.seatings depends on the time of the day and day of the week. Sundays are extremely busy and may require booking in advance of atleast two weeks prior to intended date of visit. Food was excellent and can't complain. Portions are adequate and price is normal. Quality and cleanliness is top class. Staff friendly and patient. Off road parking or on site available.

Nice interior, attentive service, and both times we've eaten there recently we've really enjoyed the food.

This restaurant is an absolute delight. The front of house are always so polite and attentive. The food is always made to perfection, full of flavour and wholesome. The naans are soft, fresh and morish. The currys are always made to your preference (I like mine spicy). The new owners have completely turned this place around and we can't get enough of it 😀

Had a very nice time here. Lovely people and a very tasty authentic Indian Food. Try the Dal Makhani and Lachedar Paratha! Just too good! Ending with Gulab Jamun with vanilla ice cream! Will definitely visit again! well done team. There is ample space for parking at the rear of the restaurant.

AMAZING AND LOVELY EXPERIENCE incredible and great experience at this restaurant. our welcome was so great staff were very polite and incredibly welcoming, finding us a table even when we hadn’t booked. The food was authentic indian and absolutely delicious and great - easily the best we have had in a restaurant in years.thankyou for such a lovely evening We will most definitely be back.

We went to the chefs of India for the first time last Sunday for there buffet which was absolutely loverly which came as no surprise as the chefs and the the staff had all left dajelling heights to start on there own the place is so clean and tidy you could eat dinner of the floor the meal was fantastic as we knew it might be the chefs and staff can not do enough for you even gave a complimentary sweet afterwoods it's a must. the Sunday buffet along with there meals are loverly nothing is to hot but the taste is somthing else we are definitely going back and will become regulars well done and hope all goes well sharon and ray

Absolutely beautiful!! Husband loved the chicken manchurian, and I had the chicken dhansak. We had also had the chilli garlic prawn and the dal makhani. All absolutely lovely, best Indian meal we've had in a long time, thank you!

Ali and the team were previously at Darjeeling Heights. They offer something different to your typical Indian restaurant and the flavours and variety of their dishes are fantastic. Given the current restrictions in place we have only used their takeaway service and we can't wait until the restaurant reopens. Great food!

Wow, it’s simply excellent.. being an Indian and finding the perfect restaurant which accepts your taste buds is a difficult thing. But this restaurant did it. Unfortunately they don’t deliver, that’s the only negative thing if I had to find any negativity. I can’t wait for the lockdown to finish to try the food in their restaurant. This is my 5th time had the food and always it’s been the same. The dal makhni and all taste like what you get in old Delhi.... simply awesome.. don’t have to travel back to India for getting the perfect food lol, will be saving my flight tickets and spending here. I had tried food from all the restaurants in rainham to gravesend and this is the best. There was another restaurant in rainham but unfortunately their food is not that great anymore n hope these guys came from there...

Lived in the area for 14 years now and not found a good Indian restaurant, until the arrival of this recently. What a change this restaurant is, even the vegetable curry is so nice. Can’t wait for the restaurant being able to open for sit-in when even a takeaway tastes so very good

If I could give 10 stars I would! This place is a cut above the rest. Absolutely flawless food on every aspect. The chefs certainly know what they are doing and the service from the staff is top class. If you haven't tried this place. I don't know what you are doing with your life.

Absolutely awful, portions were small, food was dry and the peshwari Nan was tasteless as were the dishes we ordered, I will NEVER use these again.
