Hoo Spice in Medway

Just had a delicious take away from Hoo Spice. Fabulous food, delivered promptly, can't fault it. Thank you.

Despite 3 Indians in space of a post stamp eaten at them all none beat hoo spice in any department, especially dealing with shaz if there's something he doesn't know about the cuisine then it's not worth knowing!!!

This place is just brilliant. Being Indian myself and incredibly critical of food I was surprised by how good this was. You MUST have the Chicken Dansak, it is quite easily the best one I’ve ever eaten. Their onion bhaji’s are also very good. Lovely naan bread as well, just an all round top notch Indian takeaway. You won’t be disappointed.

Disgusting food . Food is soo oily and rice is not cooked well. We ordered lobster sobe, unfortunately it wasn’t lobster 😡it was king prawn . Prices are too high. Paratha was really disgusting. Soo disappointed. Not worth for the money we spent. The taste is very awful 😣. Not expected this so bad service. Definitely not recommend to anyone. 🤮🤢

Lived in the area now for 5 months and this place has never let us down. Food is delicious full of flavour and the menu has alot of choice for all spice strengths. I find the service over the phone really polite and easy to use. Highly recommend we won't use any other Indian takeaway 10/10*

Good Food - Friendly Service Alway greeted as you walk in to order, friendly service and whilst you wait for your order to be cooked you are always offered fresh hot poppadoms with a pot of sauce. Portions are value for money, never had any complaints. Ordered home delivery and always quicker than they advise and arrived hot! Highly recommended.

Hoo Spice is an Indian takeaway situated in Hoo Medway Kent. My wife and I had a takeaway which was delivered to where we live in Allhallows. What can I the service over the phone was great. As they were very busy they said it could take 90 minutes to deliver. It actually only took 70 minutes. The food was great not only that the portions were large. Hoo Spice is the best Indian food we have ever had. We will never go anywhere else for our Indian food. To say we both highly recommend Hoo Spice is an understatement. The words haven’t been invented to say how great and fantastic Hoo Spice is.

Fantastic food every time. We’re new to the area and its taken ages to find this gem. We recently ordered a takeaway and one item was missing. After a quick phone call they were back at the door within 10 minutes with the missing item and couldn’t apologise enough. The prices are brilliant too. Top food and top staff

Fairly new to the area and decided to have a takeaway from Hoo Spice. The meal may have taken along time to be delivered but you have to take into consideration that they are busy and the food they deliver is cooked fresh. I have nothing to complain about as food was superb and well worth the wait. Can't wait to have another. Thank you Hoo Spice.

A two hour wait had to cancel order. Restaurant reluctant to give money back and we’re rude on the phone. Food never arrived despite being promised it. Had the cheek to take payment. Now battling to get refunded.

There is no doubt Hoo Spice is the best Indian takeaway I have ever had. Service was great value was fantastic. I was told the delivery would be 45 minutes to an hour. It was spot on. Not only that the size of the portions was unreal definitely great value. The staff are very friendly and hard working. I highly recommend Hoo Spice.

We decided to have a treat and decided to have a takeaway curry. After looking at several takeaways we decided on Hoo Spice. Initially when we ordered online it said we were outside of their delivery area so I rang to confirm and was told that actually they do deliver to our area and so took our order over the phone instead. Our food arrived in reasonable time but that was the only plus point. Food was swimming in grease and what meat there actually in the container was bland and tasteless. The containers were plastic and had no indication as to what was in them so if we did not know our curry then it was lucky dip what was what and to be honest where they were all swimming in grease it was hard to make out what was what anyway. Presentation was awful and containers too small and not fit for purpose. Plus side was free popadums which were fresh and crisp but aside from that it was awful. Will I be ordering again? No Would I recommend? No Is it value for money? No I think I will wait until lockdown is over and go to our local restaurant and have a decent sit down meal. Sorry guys, my rating is 1/5 and if a half rating was available then that would have been opted for/

we used Hoo Spice for the first time today, as during these current circumstances our usual restaurant is closed.. When we ordered, we specified that we like the chicken well cooked and without corriander! both requests were noted and we had a really enjoyable meal.. We chose a chicken tikka main, chicken dansak and chicken shaslik, along with rice, bread and channa masalla side. we are all very picky in my household, but there were clean plates all round... My Husband phoned the restaurant to say how much we enjoyed it. The food was ready, for when we arrived to collect.

staff are always very friendly and food usually excellent... sometimes they are very busy, but they give away free popadoms if you collect - do not that bad, but just be mindful as give yourself plenty of time before wanting good and ordering.

Lively food and the service is good

We visited with a group but, despite ordering at around 7.30 our starters had not arrived by 9. After complaints some food was served. I had butterfly prawns but they were overcooked and tasted if the oil that they were cooked in. My first and last experience here. We did not wait for mains.

Have used Hoo Spice for many years and have never been disappointed. Great variety in the menu, the food is always delicious, the staff always polite and the delivery service is fast. Keep up the good work. Highly recommended.

Great take away food and friendly service.

This used to be my preferred Indian takeaway, often used when I have band practice at my house. The deliveries are usually OK but can be slow during the busiest times. However on this occasion I fancied a vindaloo and what arrived did not live up to expectation. It was really rather bland, with apparently little chilli, and totally lacked the sourness that one ought to find in a vindaloo - and I was disappointed although not surprised to find that it had been cooked with potatoes in (hint - the reference in the name to "aloo" is NOT to potatoes). And the meat was mushy and overdone which is one of the main reasons I do not like other local Indian takeaways.

This Indian takeaway is the best Indian takeaway my family have ever used. Great food great value great service. Only once in 15 years has things gone slightly wrong but they put it right no messing. The delivery service is great. If the staff say it will 45 minutes to cook and deliver they are spot on. My family highly recommend Hoo Spice

Had our first takeaway from Hoo Spice after normally preferring the other two Indians in Hoo! Thought we'd give these ago and were sorry we did... Currys lacked spice and heat. I like a saucey curry but they were very watery and bland. Had lots of odd shaped bits of chicken which were extremely gristley (in chicken!!!) Normally we choose chicken so that this doesn't happen!? One of our curries was a bright red colour and tasted exactly like a Chinese sweet and sour...very strange and artificial tasting. However, delivery was speedy, came with free popadoms, and food was edible (apart from gristle!) just not the lovely flavourful and spicey affair we are used to from the other two joints in town! Will not be returning I'm afraid.

Sadly, having used Hoo Spice for years we will no longer be ordering from them. A two hour wait for luke warm food following a couple of weeks of wrong dishes/long waits just about did it. A previous instance of being ill the following day which we gave the benefit of doubt for also enters the mix!

Went here to get a takeaway tonight for the first time . It was lovely . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was really nice . Great value for money would highly recommend and I will be returning . Well done :)

Had a takeaway from here, I had mistakenly ordered from the wrong Indian in Hoo. (We had one from here months ago and I forgot to throw out the flyer) as we didn’t enjoy it at all, yet again we were Very disappointed, the amount of food in each dish was only 2/3rds full, very watery, not a lot of meat in korma, or patia, not edible most of it, and swimming in grease. We left most of it, and it was congealed in the morning. The poppadoms were soft. The potato Bhaji was a funny colour, looked more like sweet potatoes, all in all it was a mistake. Hence flyer now in bin.

We have been using this place for our take away curries for the last couple of years. The food is usually very good (they do make the odd mistake!) and delivery is usually within 45 minutes. They deliver free within a 3 mile radius so cover Wainscott and Frindsbury. You can order on line or by phone and they usually give you free poppadoms with the meal. I have found this to be the best Indian take away in our area.

Had a take away , on the 20/9/17. Rice was good. But the currys had a lot off sauces but only 6 chucks off chicken per dish was not very filling

The best indian in the village of Hoo in our opinion. Excellent tasty food, very friendly staff and the delivery service is very good too. Have always found the food to be freshly cooked and piping hot to your door.

Have been going here for years and the staff are nice, However after too many times with the food being poor and not as expected we have decided not to go bad sadly. They rarely have a pudding. When we complained they did nothing! My mum has been there four times. kW and each time disappointed so have decided to branch out further now. A shame

If I want an Indian takeaway meal I always use Hoo Spice. The staff are friendly warm and knowledgable and the food is out of this world. The nice thing about Hoo Spice is they deliver to your door. I would not go anywhere else.

The food is really tasty and the service very good. They will always make adjustments to the menu for you if they can. The only downside is that on occasion they are really busy but that just goes to show how popular they are. Either way they still do an excellent job. Very good value for money. Tandoori King Prawns are fabulous.

Hadn't used Hoo Spice for a long time, and someone recommended it , and said give it a try again. I'm glad I did, the service and food was spot on. The food was lovely, fresh and full of flavour!!! Well recommended!! Next time I'm down visiting my parents I will definitely be back!!

Never had a bad meal from here. The food is always cooked to perfection. And the staff are friendly and helpful.

Just ordered £16 worth of food. I expected to wait about 45 minutes, actually waited an hour and half. But that's not a big deal. My gripe is who on earth is cooking your food? The aloo gobi was mushy and since when did it include carrots? And everything I received was swimming in reddish oil. Yuck. And why did it taste so sweet? Are you putting a ton of sugar and salt in your food? It's gross and sickly. I always chose more or less the same simple things on the menu avoiding all the rich sauces and coconut milk etc which I don't like. So I know this is NOT normal! I'm sure it was much better than this a few years ago. Come on Hoo Spice! You have a lot of competition, buck up.

Another fantastic, full of flavour and spice delicious meal. This was enjoyed by the children and adults alike. Meals can be adapted if asked for. They are an extremely friendly and accommodating bunch of people there. Sag Aloo, Chicken Pakora and lamb pasanda are my personal favourites along with the Banana curry. They can deliver locally too.

My family and I have used Hoo Spice a few times and the food is always delivered on time and amazing. It's always hot and cooked as requested. I love the pathia but find it to hot so they make it mild for me.

I have used Hoo Spice for many years and would not consider suing any of the other Indian takeaways in the area. Food is always of an excellent standard. The menu is varied with the staff always willing to discuss your likes and suggest new dishes. I have no experience of delivery - I suggest collecting your order, arrive early to enjoy complimentary popadoms with dip. Good value for money
