Wait staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was brilliant! Good flavours spanning n Multiple cuisines!

Visited here with friends (their choice rather than ours) but what a lovely surprise this place was! As gluten free I'm always nervous about trying new places but the menu is marked up and quite a few options. I opted for the Peanut Crunch Salad and some Hashed Potatoes. The salad was beautiful! I'd happily have that every day. It's so clean and fresh. Warning about the Jazzy Broccoli with spicy sambal! I nabbed a bit from our friend and it was so spicy!

Really tasty vegan good. I had the bagel and crispy potatoes and it had my tastebuds tingling. Yum! The restaurant was really noisy at lunchtime and service could have been a little faster. Overall great brunch place.

Brilliant choice, best vegan cafe evet

It was a treat to lunch leisurely and splendidly at Vegivores yesterday. Each of our two courses were both deliciously created and beautifully presented. Very kindly, we were delivered an additional bowl of their scrumptious ice cream to atone for the slight mis-coordination on the delivery of their more-ish puddings. It was an unnecessary but thoughtful gesture and we managed to do it justice - just! It is a visceral pleasure to find such a capable and welcoming bistro that is coincidentally wholly Vegan. We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal at Vegivores and shall be returning to sample the rest of the menu once I’ve atoned for my luscious lunch! If only there was a branch nearer to home…

The wife and I wandered by this place a couple of days ago and then returned with my daughter for a meal. Wow! What a revelation! Firstly both of the members of staff we spoke with were cheerful, engaged, helpful and energised. I did not get the usual impression it was faux interest for tips, but genuinely nice people. The food was amazing and we all eagerly decided to share parts of our meal so we could try as much as we could. This is the kind of food that non-vegetarians should try just so they know how good it can be. Finished off with the toffee apple pancakes with ice cream. Delicious and very autumnal. I cant deny that it was a little pricey. I had to go and move the car before the end and my wife settled up. When she told me how much it was I was a little taken aback. However it was such a good meal we will definitely be going back and will be recommending it to everyone.

The food was excellent, the portions generous and the staff friendly. Highly recommend.

The food here is honestly amazing (I fully recommend the Satay Slay burger). I'm not vegetarian / vegan but my friends are, so we wanted to try somewhere where we could all eat and we were not disappointed - the staff were brilliant, the restaurant was lovely and the food was next level

Went for the first time today - we ordered lots of food between a table of three and all of it was delicious. There was fantastic ambience, friendly service throughout and we all had a great time. Would thoroughly recommend!

Went for lunch on my own. I wasn't that hungry so had a small plate - the peanut crunch salad - and a side of hashed potatoes. Really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crunchy and the potatoes were salty and crispy. Would definitely eat there again if in the area.

Seriously good!!!! We went (2 of us) for the first time to vegivores on a rainy stormy Saturday evening, no reservation and just dropped on in. We were greeted with a big hello and welcome that instantly put us at ease. We were seated and the server explained the menu and drinks. I cannot fault the first impression and service. Down to earth, positive, calming and very welcoming like visiting an old friend. We ordered our food and drink and made some decisions based on the servers recommendation. We ordered a selection of small plates and mains to try a bit of everything. Drinks top notch a lovely selection of vegan wines, cocktails, cocktails and kombucha. Always a great way to start dinner. We opted for kombucha and a mocktail. Food came and OMG!!! Beautiful presented and full of flavour. The food is nutritious but so tasty!!! We were blown away! The dhal is INSANELY gooood! We had the crispy gnocchi, smashed peas with butter beans, Mac and cheese and the dhal. An explosion of flavour and textures. Do not let the descriptions fool you these dishes and packed with loads of goodness, flavour and care!!! We paid around £30 each for dinner which is the right price. We shall be back to try more and next time we shall withhold from driving. The server was at the top of their game balancing other tables, the bar and orders for delivery. Seems the home delivery side has good traction here but we would recommend eating in. Chef! You’re ace!!! Big credit to you for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed and defo will be back. Worth a visit any day!

I had my 30th birthday celebration here, there were around 18 of us having bottomless brunch. The staff at Vegivores did an amazing job at accommodating us all, everyone said the food was delicious, as were the cocktails, thank you so much for a lovely day!

Caversham has quite a few excellent restaurants but Vegivores is fast becoming our "go to" place of choice. Each item on the menu that we have sampled on each visit has been excellent and the service friendly and efficient....

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Food was fantastic, service very attentive, thanks Lizzie and Chase Obvious that there was a restaurant full of people all enjoying the food.

Love this place! Everything is vegan but most importantly delicious. We had the gnocchi, tofu twists, veggie burrito and the Mac n cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly, light on oils, high in taste.

Fantastic food - however the service was dreadful and extremely slow it felt as if we were a nuisance when trying to order our meals as there were not enough staff. I am not vegan but really enjoyed the food it’s such a shame that the service is so poor.

The new busy star of veganism in Reading. If I had to recommend one dish, then the satay kebas win.

Good was top notch. Massive portions ready for a rainy day at Reading. We had the Slay Bowl, Jazzy Broccoli, Gnocchi and Brunch Burger. All amazing, couldn’t get enough. Amazing space and atmosphere. The staff were wonderful. Coffee was so good we had 2. What a lovely, wholesome, yummy, and welcoming place.

The food was a mixed bag. The burger was lovely, however the potatoes were solid and cold in the middle. The coffee, whilst beautifully presented was lukewarm and quite gritty in texture. Table service was normal. The score given reflects both the undercooked potatoes, and the suggestion of leaving a tip that was vocalised when presenting to the counter to make payment, rather than asking if there we had any feedback about the food. At ~£45 for two underwhelming mains and two coffees I am not in a hurry to go back.

I tried the peanut Salad 7, it was good but not something that I would order again; the Boss’s Bowl 14.50 was delicious. A solid espresso 2.80 There is outdoor seating that fills up quickly. Consider reserving a table in advance.

Excellent, Em was very attentive. The MacCheeze was very tasty and filling, as was the Burrito. Interesting lager, 'Mash Gang Stoop', didn't know Aberdeen was a centre of great lager production.

Came here not knowing what to expect but knowing I wanted something different to the burgers offered everywhere else. Left exceptionally impressed! Best food I've had in ages and lovely friendly and fast service. Thanks guys!

Visited with our son who is vegan. We aren't. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. Very fresh and very tasty. We had the Boss Bowl, the Green Bowl and the burger with satay sauce. All really good. Pleasant surrounding and good service. We'll definitely visit again when next in the area.

We loved our meal at Vegivores. Great menu for us and we were so surprised that they brought us a special menu for our dog as well! We opted to share 5 small plates, all were delicious. Desserts didn’t disappoint either! Our dog had a Woofle! Fab relaxed vibe, ideal for an afternoon coffee n cake or a special evening meal, it ticks all the boxes.

This is my favourite restaurant ever. It is so special to have a 100% vegan restaurant because it means that if you invite anyone to come with you who is non-vegan then they enjoy the vegan options too. Helps people to recognise that vegan food is delicious and not just lettuce! It just has such good vibes with all of the staff so friendly and welcoming. The biscoffle is to die for and I especially love all of the different bowls because there are so many flavours going on in just one dish. The staff have been so understanding and helpful about my boyfriend’s allergies and they have even adapted dishes to make them safe for us to eat. There are so many options which is very rare as a vegan and even their drinks menu is extensive and has many different soft drinks and types of coffee not just alcoholic drinks. The locations is also perfect because you get a lil walk from Reading station (about 20 mins) which is so cute at night time. Overall, I would recommend this place to vegans and non-vegans and we will be coming back many more times!

Easily my favourite restaurant. Everything is faultless. We have been several times now (to both branches) and have always been overwhelmingly satisfied. The food is the best I have ever had - anywhere. The staff are always so kind and polite, which helps to create a lovely atmosphere. I have recommended Vegivores to my non-vegan friends, who have spoken in pure amazement about how brilliant both the restaurant and their food is. Everyone who I have suggested this place to has left as highly impressed and eager to return. On this occasion, I went for the breakfast burrito and swapped the brown rice for the macaroni cheeze (their ‘Macarito’) - simply incredible. My partner went for the ‘Parfait Par-tay’ and could not have been any more delighted by its quality. Vegivores is a must-visit. You will not be disappointed.

Everything I've tried on the menu has been amazing. Coffee is great too. Friendly staff. Dogs only allowed outside but they provide a water bowl.

Friendly staff, slight wait for service but understandable on a busy Father’s Day brunch period. Excellent food and coffee, not cheap but good value. The breakfast was really tasty though no longer includes the scrambled tofu and the toast was plain rather than chunky sour dough though overall an excellent meal. My meat eating family were more than satisfied with their vegan boss bowls and I appreciated the choice of hot sauces!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed redeeming our "Vegivores" loyalty points that we've accrued via the Yollty app. We'd always intended to save up our loyalty points to use for the Afternoon Tea as it's not available on the menu (understandably so as it must involve so much preparation alongside all the other offerings from Vegivores). We both knew that it was going to be fantastic, but it even managed to exceed our expectations! Everything was special, but there were two stand-out items for me; the Coronation Chickpea on toasted sourdough and the blini. The Coronation Chickpea was the very first thing that we ate and I was sure that it would be my favourite thing from the Afternoon Tea. It was stunningly good. However, I was *even more* blown away with the blinis. I can't describe just how good that was. The layers of flavours and the textures was exquisite. I won't go in to much more detail than this, other than to say that I would *definitely* recommend this to other loyal customers who manage to get enough loyalty points to enjoy this. Again, we were well looked after by the staff. It was a pleasure to chat with Kevin and Lauren. And as always, the chefs never get the plaudits they deserve despite it being their food that we always enjoy so much. They are unsung stars! Thanks very much to everyone at Vegivores ... we'll be back again soon!

To be honest I wasn't here, I was at the butchers next door and that's probably not what potential customers want to hear ( but Google tracked me to being outsite and asked for a review). It does look a lovely place to visit ! 😋

Extremely tasty food - even if you’re not vegan / vegetarian you will enjoy it. Loved going there with friends for a birthday lunch.

We ordered takeaway one night and came in for lunch on our way out of Bournemouth. Our server was so friendly and patient with our kids. There was something for everyone, I loved the crispy gnocchi and satay bowl. The home made desserts were so rich and delicious!

Just perfect. You don't have to be a vegan or veggie to enjoy this amazing food. If I lived in the area, I would be eating here every day.

My favourite restaurant without a doubt! I’ve been eating at Vegivores for years now and it’s safe to say I’m addicted! The food is the kind of food you take a bite out of and instantly think “wow” and start doing a happy dance with your shoulders. Fresh, good quality feel good food. Their consistency is unmatched when it comes to the quality of food and the level of service. I’ve eaten in off of their regular menu, special menu when there’s a theme/event, ordered on Deliveroo, collection etc and I’ve had an amazing experience every single time.

If I could give 100 stars I would! I’ve visited the Bournemouth Vegivores and the Reading Vegivores and both places were so clean, totally welcoming and the food is stellar. My fave thing to order is the biscoffle.. that lil thing is a work of art. Would always recommend it.

Very lovely and welcoming place

Working in area and out alone I wanted to go veggie or vegan with nice food and a chill atmosphere. Definitely made a great choice. Wine chateau rochecolombe delightful, the sour dough and butter… how can bread taste so good, my main course was enjoyed and the truffle for dessert ( I ordered just one but was so good I ordered another one to take home)! My waitress Yollty busied around managing the whole restaurant on her one with a big smile and super efficient! All in all definitely a recommendation from me.

Vegivores is a very nice place to eat in .The food was amazing! The ice cream was delicious and so was the wrap i had. It was one of the best places i have ever eaten in.

Had the peanut crunch salad, mac&cheese, and the shroomy toast, all were wonderful. Full of flavor and super fresh. Easy, open seating and the folks who work here are quite cheerful and pleasent.

The best restaurant in Caversham. I'm not even vegan but I enjoy the creativity of vegan/ vegetarian food and love going here as the food is delicious. It's very refreshing to have vegan food that is actually good quality, inventive and flavoursome without overdoing it or just giving you big lumps of soggy tofu or dry seitan. We have brought others here who have also said the food was really good. The decor is lovely and tasteful and sitting outside on a sunny day is lovely as they open the doors up so you can enjoy the decor and sun simultaneously. So far I've tried the vegan mac and cheese which is my absolute favourite, the Korean bulgogi mushroom which were full of flavour, although I wasn't a huge fan of the potato salad but I think that's because I wanted a hot side not a cold one so not so much the flavour being an issue, and the strawberry pancakes which were absolutely massive but delicious and great presentation. Servers have always been very lovely and friendly, we recently had (I believe their name was) Chase (greenish hair) who was so friendly and efficient despite it being a sunny Saturday brunch and seemed to be the only server for outside so was doing a fab job.

As always, the staff are welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic. The food is delicious and well presented, with good sized portions. The beer is excellent, too. This is such a good restaurant. We need more like it!

Stopped for lunch. The atmosphere and the staff were great! The food was delicious I had the Mac and cheese which came with a dressed salad it was absolutely delicious I think it’s one of the best things they have in their menu. Perhaps the best vegan Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. My partner had the burger which was also very good. The tofu was well prepared.

Another Vegivores meal, another 5* review. This place continues to maintain exceptional standards. It is without question our favourite restaurant and I would have breakfast, lunch, and dinner here if I could afford to! The staff are always very friendly and the food is faultless. We attended the restaurant tonight (04/05/24). This is the first time we've been since the new menu. It still has the classics such as the Macaroni Cheeze, Crispy Gnocchi, and Biscoffle. However, my wife and I's choices included trying some of the newer options: Drunken Knots, Masala Butter Hispi, Green Goodness Bowl, The Boss's Bowl, and White Chocolate Fondue, and 3x Hazelnut Truffles (plus 2x slices of cake to take-away to enjoy with a cup of tea tomorrow). My wife and I shared the two starters (Drunken Knots and Masala Butter Hispi). I loved both, but the Drunken Knots: Oh. My. GOD!!!! This is an instant favourite and I will definitely be ordering this for my starter during my next visit. I really hope that this can command a permanent place on the menu like the Macaroni Cheeze and Biscoffle have. It's an absolute knock-out starter. The Masala Butter Hispi is gorgeous, too, and a very good portion size, but I would have to give the nod to the Drunken Knots as it ticked all of my boxes! Mains:- I had The Boss's Bowl and my wife opted for the Green Goodness Bowl. Again, we both tried the other's main and were extremely impressed with both dishes (again!). The flavours are spot-on and well presented. I had to stop myself from licking the plates spotlessly clean (only because of being in public! If I were eating these dishes at home, the plates would be spotlessly clean by the time I'd finished eating them!). Desserts:- My wife chose the White Chocolate Fondue and I decided to plump for 3 Hazelnut Truffles with a black Americano. Now, I'm not generally a massive fondue fan, but I enjoyed the taste that I had of my wife's dessert. My truffles were delightful alongside a nice coffee and a nice way to round off my meal. My wife loved her White Chocolate Fondue but was getting full, so has brought some leftovers (marshmallow, pretzels, and shortbread) home to enjoy tomorrow. We absolutely adore Vegivores and they continue to excel. If I had to try and think of something that may have made our experience infinitesimally even better, it would have been to have had the option of the Crème Brûlée that used to be on the menu. By no means is this a criticism as we loved our meal, but I was in the mood for a fresh, light dessert and the Crème Brûlée that we've previously had at Vegivores would have fit the bill perfectly. We want to mention how wonderful the staff were again. We had three people serving us tonight and they were all absolutely incredible. The front of house are always so friendly and accommodating, and help make our visits a pleasure. Also, I can't finish this review without singing the praises of the chefs who have always produced exceptional food every single time we have eaten at Vegivores. We're so impressed with Vegivores that we have already decided to make Bournemouth our next seaside trip this Summer so that we can eat at Vegivores there.

Excellent food and impeccable service! Chase went above and beyond with friendly chat and great recommendations, and the new menu options were excellent alongside older favourites. It has been a while since our last visit, but looks like real care and attention is being poured into all that they do, and we will definitely be back again soon.

First time visit to Bournemouth venue and have already booked to come back. Relaxed vibe, great service and food was incredible. Had a freebie try of potato milk and already searching where to buy more! Husband is a meat eater but he loved everything especially his curry!

Amazing food and great atmosphere for a quite Sunday night dinner with a friend. We had a really lovely night. I especially liked the range of caffeine and alcohol free drinks. Only criticism was that the staff seemed distracted by cleaning and didn't really check on us. We ordered seeds and olives to eat while we waited but it all came with our mains which was a bit odd. Loved it though and will definitely be back.

Rarely leave reviews but I've been a few times now and everytime the food has been fantastic, and the staff have been great. Highly recommended!!

It was quiet in the restaurant but they really welcomed us and it didnt feel like a flat atmosphere at all. The food was fantastic - the Korean BBQ mushrooms were proper delicious, and the sourdough with roasted garlic was, as always, amazing. Wine is very reasonably priced, and the service was really friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I've not been in for a while, but tonight reminded me while I used to come fairly regularly - we will go again soon!

Seen this place a few times and thought it more a food place than a cafe. As it was wet and cold, I enquired within that I just wanted a place to read and have a coffee. The staff were very welcoming and excellent in all regards, simply offerring me the drinks menu and table served with enough time to digest what drinks were on offer before taking my order. The oat latte was superb and generous, the space warm and welcoming, just what was needed. The food that came out for others looked tantalising, enough for me to come back here when I am in Reading again to try.

Visited for the first time with friends for brunch and highly recommend. Menu is varied with plenty of options. Ingredients are clearly fresh and high quality. Bonus points for being dog friendly and the Guinness brownie. Look forward to returning soon! :)

With a beautiful ambience, a must try place in Reading for all vegetarians/vegans! The hot chocolate with cream and marshmallow was an absolute delight! The macaroni cheeze was very tasty.

Wonderful Vegetarian Restaurant in the heart of Caversham, Reading. My wife and me have been coming to this place for the past few years, we absolutely love the food ( even if I am certainly not Vegetarian nor Vegan ) amazing ambiance & atmosphere and fantastic customer service from a super friendly and professional staff. This time we came on a Sunday afternoon. We went for the BOSS BOWL ( amazing with brown rice, cheek peas, crispy kale ) and the CRISPY GNOCCHI to die for! I also treated myself to a nice glass of French red wine. We had a wonderful meal, all the flavours are so wonderfully balanced , a real joy. Price wise: 45£ total including one glass of wine ( 8 £ ) and 2 bottles of sparkling water. Absolutely fine by me! THANKS GUYS, we’ll come visiting in Caversham AGAIN and perhaps in Bournemouth as well!!!

Absolutely fantastic Restaurant in the heart of Caversham, Reading. My wife and me have been coming to this lovely place since it opened in 2017, also having many food deliveries during lockdown. On this occasion we came on a Sunday, Lunch time. A lovely young chap welcomed us straight away and gave us a table even if we didn’t book. The atmosphere and the ambiance in the restaurant is really lovely: you feel as at home. Relaxed, Quick and attentive service, super friendly from everyone. FANTASTIC STAFF, including the manager. And the food… it gets better every time. We went for THE BOSS BOWL ( amazing fresh flavours with really balanced spices and brown rice ) and I tried the CRISPY GNOCCHI as well , to die for. Good red wine, I tried the French option. I adore Vegivores food and I am certainly not vegetarian nor vegan. Amazing presentation, top ingredients, customer service at its best. We find the prices absolutely right for the quality of the food. WE WILL BE BACK, perhaps we’ll come visiting in Bournemouth!!!

Brilliant experience today. The aesthetics, hygiene, service, taste of food and portion size all 5 STARS. Oscar from Vegivores took great care of us, the entire staff is extremely cordial. Recommendations would be hashed potatoes, burrito, satay burger. Mac and Cheese served here is another level. The variety of drinks offered is precise but all the choices are great. MUST TRY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
