Great service and food! Highly recommend

Great Food, Atentive & Helpful Staff , Only gripe was the pipped music a bit loud and not appropriate for lunch time italian dining - Just Saying 😱

I took my Mom for an early Mothers day lunch on saturday and Just wanted to leave a quick revue for anyone thinking about visiting Vesuvio .... Do it , it is great , Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and exceptional staff , it was a joy, thank you , James P.s. definitely get the Tiramisu 👍

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and great food. Only dropped a star as my dessert was not great, clearly bought in so not the fault of the chef who delivered on the two courses before that. I have been advised that the tiramisu is nice so maybe try that or the ice cream or sorbets.

Amazing food, service & overall experience! Couldn’t recommend here enough. Special shoutout to Blerim - couldn’t have asked for anymore… just maybe another Tiramisu (oh wait we did!)

Tonight i took my parents to this restaurant for the first time for my dad’s birthday, and they loved it as much as i did on my first time. We had such a lovely waiter called Blero, he made our evening so effortlessly perfect! As he recommended so many different cocktails and dishes giving us his opinion which we really appreciated, Blero was the perfect waiter for our evening serving us with not just the most delicious meals and drinks but wonderful customer service due to him being so kind, funny and well mannered he is exactly what you would want on a evening out. We loved it here tonight and definitely will be coming back!!

Vesuvio is a newly opened (June 23) pizzeria located on Norcot Road in Tilehurst. The venue itself is well presented and stylishly set out. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s fairly busy so booking a table for Friday and Saturday evenings is a good idea. The menu is simple and straightforward. I had the Caprese di Burrata for starter - very good. I had the pepperoni pizza for main served up on wooden pizza board. Yes a very good pizza. The house white wine is also quite good. All in all a good place for dining out with friends. I think they also offer takeaway. Recommended.

Decided on a last minute meal out today (Sunday) with my hubby and 6 month old boy. Arrived just after 12 and was seated straight away. Shannon was a very attentive waitress, ensuring we were well looked after, even when a number of other diners arrived. I had the prawns to start and hubby had the calamari both of which was delicious. I then had the seabass and hubby had the ribeye steak, again both great portions and delicious and we cleared our plates! Was nice to see other families arrive with babies... my lil boy was so chilled he fell asleep so we were able to really enjoy the delicious food. 5* service and 5* food. We will definitely be returning!

Our first time dining here with family. Such a warm welcome, wonderful friendly staff. We ordered the seafood risotto, it absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend booking a table here.

We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Very natural & conservational, All the staff were engaging & we were made to feel very comfortable & welcome. Food was excellent & great value for money. Overall it was a first class experience .

I have been here before and as usual the food is great and normally the service is good but today it was terrible. The server left us for ages between each course and just ignored us, nobody came to us for the bill I had to ask and then when we paid, no acknowledgement at all, no thanks, have a good rest of day etc, he just turned and went to the back of the restaurant! Absolutely stunned, may give it another go another time but if it happens again won't be coming again.

Shannon makes the best cocktails. So make sure you get her to make the mojito. Plus the tuna special was amazing !! Great place great food !

It is so nice to have an independent restaurant close by. The staff are so friendly, and the food is really delicious.

Blerim was our server and he was amazing. He went above and beyond for us and made us laugh the whole time. Great place, incredible food and wine. This is our 100th or so time and we’ll deffo come again…

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly, adding to the warm and welcoming vibe. As for the food, it was absolutely amazing – each dish was delicious and expertly prepared. I have to highlight the brownie I had, which was by far the best I've ever tasted. I can't wait to return and try more! Highly recommended!

Cenamos un viernes por la noche y el restaurante estaba lleno. La camarera era muy servicial y amable. Pedido pollo en una salsa de champiñones y vino blanco y un lado de papas bebé. Mientras que las patatas estaban muy sabrosas, la porción muy pequeña de pollo fue decepcionante debido al precio del plato. De postre pidió tarta de queso, que aunque pequeña porción, era extremadamente sabroso. Los dos puntos negativos de este restaurante es ambiente muy ruidoso y caro para lo que la comida que recibe. . .

Everything is good at Vesuvio, especially the staff who are professional and welcoming. And here a special mention for Shannon, the charming young lady who is just so efficient and whose smile lights up the place. My family and I are always pleased to see Shannon when we visit.

Love this restaurant it’s a little gem. The food is authentic and delicious, fantastic greeting and made to feel so welcome. Special shout out to Shannon who is a wonderful addition to this team, kind, friendly and so personable she looked after us beautifully.

This is a great place. It feels very Italian and the food is extremely tasty and nicely-prepared. A very popular place and with good reason.

Lovely restaurant in Reading. Visited 16/11 at 8pm with a party of 9. Couldn’t do more for you. Food was great, highlight was the chefs specials. Old fashioned wasn’t on the cocktail menu and they still kindly made them all evening, above & beyond! Service and atmosphere was calm, welcoming and made for a very enjoyable night. Might not be in the town centre, but more than worth the visit. Will certainly be back, just to go through the rest of the menu - Thanks to all the Vesuvio team.

My family took my husband and I there for our Diamond wedding anniversary. The food was lovely and the staff looked after us making our anniversary feel special they put a anniversary card in the specials menu, how nice was that. Will definitely go there again.

Cannot put in words how beautiful the food is here. The manager and staff are amazing. I would highly recommend to anybody.

Augusto and rafael served us for a birthday meal. Service was amazing and they had a great sense of humour. Food was perfect - carbonara was the best I have had. Very impressed with everything during our visit and prices are reasonable especially for the portion sizes. They sang happy birthday and presented our cake with enthusiasm. Overall a perfect evening. Will definitely be going again.

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa en el restaurante. Se presenta maravillosamente, con un "interior" y un "exterior dentro" (que supongo que en el verano se abre, como un restaurante europeo). Nos sentamos "dentro" y aunque estábamos comiendo temprano, todavía tenía un ambiente agradable y con el tiempo más gente llegó mejorando aún más las cosas. Considerando que era un martes por la noche había un número decente de comensales. El personal es muy amable, la comida llegó rápidamente, especialmente los entrantes. La calidad de todo fue excepcional, todo el mundo realmente disfrutó de sus comidas, sin ninguna queja o problema en absoluto. Además la comida total era de unas 150 libras esterlinas , para 5 personas, incluyendo 2 platos (uno de los cuales era un filete) y una pequeña cantidad de vino. Esto es más barato que Pizza Express pero muy superior y con un menú más amplio. También atendieron la dieta sin gluten y lácteos de mi hijo. Esto incluye opciones de pizza y pasta. Lo único que falta es una vista del mar Mediterráneo azul ; - ) pero vale la pena viajar para visitarlo. No puedo creer que Reading tenga un mejor italiano.

Ordered a pizza on their website, which didn't get processed properly and they knew nothing about it when I arrived. The manager was very professional though and they cooked me a pizza straight away. The pizza was ok, a bit too heavy on the cheese and a bit undercooked in my opinion.

Warmly welcomed by staff who looked as if they were enjoying what they were doing, nothing was a problem for them. We didn't wait long for our food and it wouldn't have mattered if we had as the food was simply glorious and delicious. Well looked from the time we walked in for our reservation until we left. If you've not been there yet, do yourselves a great favour and get along to see what they have to offer, you won't be disappointed. I shall certainly be going back!!

Vesuvio is a great restaurant you should all try - great service and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. The food is excellent - all the italian classics - antipasti, pizza, pasta ... you can't beat this independent restaurant. Go try it out you won't regret it and will be going back for more.

3 Señoras "Wot Almuerzo" se lo pasó de maravilla el viernes 13 th. Compartimos el plato italiano Antipasti que era delicioso y la comida por sí sola! Leí una crítica que decía que las porciones eran pequeñas - estaba bromeando, uno de nosotros incluso se llevó la mitad de su comida a casa con ella, y a todos nos gusta nuestra comida! La única queja que tuvimos fue que no teníamos espacio para el postre! Estoy a menos de 5 minutos a pie del restaurante, así que lo que con la comida encantadora y el personal amable, volverá pronto.

Ordered a takeaway pizza which was good quality, but a bit pricey. The restaurant was really full and a bit noisy on a Friday night. Will try an eat in some time, and see if it is quieter earlier. The staff were friendly.

We came as we had heard lots of positive things about Vesuvio Pizzeria and, we have to say, what we'd heard is justified. We came early (before 6pm) as we understood it gets busy. There were already a small handful of people here at that time and around 7pm it was looking nearly full. The food and service is excellent. There's a decent menu with good choice. We had olives and garlic bread as 'starters' then mains with dessert. I had a pasta dish which was plenty, filling and exactly as you would find in Italy. I considered the drinks a little expensive but it is a restaurant after all. This was our first and only experience so far. Would we come back - definitely 🙂. It's about time Tilehurst had a quality restaurant, The Switch started pushing the boundaries and Vesuvio Pizzeria has broken through. Excellent 👍

We had a lovely dinner for 4 at Vesuvio. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and really modern and inviting interior. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely excellent! Pasts, risotto, pizza and chicken milanese all very tasty and very good portion sizes! We will definitely eat here again!

It's a really nice place to go. Food is great and at a good price too. Service is fast and servers are very friendly. If your in Tilehurst and your looking for a local place to eat then look no further. They have a pub food range as well if your not into the Italian food vibe

We went to Vesuvio on a Friday night with friends. The restaurant was busy so glad we'd booked. The service was very friendly and attentive. We shared 2 bruschetta to start and for mains we had pizza, mushroom risotto, seafood linguine and a salmon with asparagus - all of which were delicious. We had tiramisu and brownies for dessert. The bill was approximately £160 including a bottle of wine and 2 beers. We would happily return.

We had a fantastic meal at Vesuvio for early birthday celebrations for my mum. The food was delicious, and staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and brought out a lovely birthday dessert for my mum on request and without charge. Belero is amazing very professional has amazing product knowledge always recommend add on from the main, desert and drinks menu you can feel he loves where he work and has the heart for it great with customer! Just to add all staff are amazing professional and poilet would recommend
