I am very disappointed by the poor service I received from El Mariachi via the Just Eat app: I placed my order at 7.52pm and told to expect delivery at 8.20pm. The food was actually delivered at 9.20pm!!

Absolutely love this place, we tried it originally a few years ago, just to try somewhere new. Since then we've booked hotels nearby just so we can spend a night out here. My wife try to go here in special occasions, even though we are not local at all. Love the food, everyone's always friendly, and actually offer service, checking in you for drinks. Which by the way ye cocktails are fantastic!

Booked here for a birthday meal. The food was fantastic, portions very generous and the service was excellent. The only downside was that you can't tip on cards and we had no cash on us so the servers didn't get a tip. Can't wait to go back again.

Took over two hours from the order being accepted to delivery. It was stone cold when it arrived. The food looked good but very disappointing.

It was only a Wednesday and we fancied food... and maybe some tequilas... this is a diamond find... very reasonable, the food was superb and the service exemplary... the owners were very accommodating as well... recommend the Don Julio Tequila! The Chicken Fajita's and the stuffed skins. I will be back

Came here last night for my friends birthday meal and had such a wonderful time and so did she. Thank you for Lauren’s birthday drink and singing happy birthday to her. The atmosphere was amazing especially with the music, the sombrero and everyone joining in to sing. The owner and staff members where all so welcoming and polite as they didn’t disturb us whilst eating they came by when we finished and asked if we enjoyed our meal and if they could get us any more drinks. The food that we ordered was absolutely spectacular and delicious. It had so much flavour and will defiantly be returning here very soon. Thank you for a great night

A real good discovery in Tonbridge. The food is tasty, affordable, (cocktails are a bargain) the team is personable. Will definitely go back. Don't go there if you expect fine dining grub, but it's perfect for hearty Mexican fare. I really enjoyed their grilled Haloumi with chili jelly, simple but impactful.

No booking to an empty restaurant & given a time limit?! I went with a friend that recommended this very restaurant. Out of courtesy both my friend & I chose a meal that wouldn't take too long due to a restricted time. I was not all impressed by the flavour to the meat. There were flies around the place, so tried to look past that! Every 15 mins or so a new waitress would veer to take the plates in the space of 1 hr and urged for the next dish. Even before finishing we had finished our meal. I found of poor grace & put us off wanting to even order more. After complaining to the rude approach of disturbing a meal. The manager admitted that they wanted the table for someone else. So rushing us to eat and force the bill then shove us out in making us feel uncomfortable, even given a time restraint one should not have to be pressured to rush even half way through a meal. Yet still be urged to buy more food. I've never felt so disgusted with the atmosphere, attitude and staff including manager/owner of this restaurant. The service from all round was not pleasant. If considered "fully booked" it is advised to be mindful not to take anymore bookings. Not recommended at all.

Ran out of paella, which is crazy for a Mexican restaurant and instead of leaving a note to claim money back they sent me loaded potato skins (at half the value) which I couldn't eat and Just Eat still hasn't compensated me for the £15 I lost

We have lived in Texas for 10 years, and this is the best Mexican/Tex-Mex place we found so far. The food was spot on, flavorful, very well seasoned, with just the right amount of heat (they also have Cholula hot sauce!). The salsa was not loaded with sugar like elsewhere in the UK. We turned up without reservation on a Saturday evening, and they could squeeze us in. The staff was very kind, with quick service despite being fairly busy. The only thing I personally missed was some higher quality tequila, the best they had was the Hornitos Reposado, no Añejo, but I guess I'm not exactly the target demographic, so no complaints there :)

The delivery is ok but the food was disappointing,it was not like this. Food was cold and the portion is no longer generous , I ordered beef nachos and you can count the chunk of corned beef , there were 7 , the nachos used were the cheapest one , Aldi’s nachos are far better with lesser a pound .it’s also not crunchy , the ribs were also very small now and barely no meat attached to it.

We got out of the car right in front of this restaurant. And we were hungry. Although we just had the main course, the food was delicious.

Beautifully themed decoration. Huge cocktail menu with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic alternatives (the ones I tried were delicious). The servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was so delicious! Best steak steak fajitas ever! We had the Party Menu which was amazing. Be prepared to feel stuffed though! I wouldn't eat too much beforehand. Very much reccomend this restaurant. Only wish I had tried it sooner!

All of the food was flavorful and cooked perfectly and the staff was attentive. The menu has multiple options so there is something for everyone. The drink menu is huge and offers a variety of drink choices. I tried the margarita and it was pretty standard, however the espresso martini ended up being the best drink we had all night! Highly recommend.

Loved every minute and all the cocktails definitely recommend the black jack shot 👌

My family and I came here for my sister's birthday meal tonight. A small restaurant but we wore mexican hats and had a laugh whilst waiting for food etc. which was nice. I don't drink alcohol so had a non-alcoholic Passion & Mango Daiquiri - The coconut was a bit overwhelming for my liking but I managed to drink it all. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork burger and specifically requested NO ONIONS. Everyone on my side of the table heard me clearly and the nice waitress with the brown hair said that's fine. So what's the first thing I see when my meal arrives...? Onions. My sister told the blonde waitress with the glasses that this is not what I ordered so to please change it. Literally two seconds later I get given the exact same plate back... Why did you take the plate away in the first place if you weren't going to correct it? We had to chase it up again and I overheard the same waitress say "Are you allergic to them then?" Why does it matter if I am or not? I asked to not have them so I can enjoy my meal. If I am allergic, you could have potentially killed me! It's just the case of listening. Then she said "Do you want a new one then?" Although the atmosphere was loud, this came across extremely aggressive. It put me in the foul mood for the rest of the evening. I struggled to enjoy my meal. I took the beef burger out straight away and my brother had it. I don't get why you would have beef and pork together. It would have been ideal to have a pile of BBQ pulled pork between the buns with lettuce. The chips were incredibly bland and the salad was quite sad looking. Basically everyone else ate the majority of my meal. I was too nervous to order a pudding so I got a hot chocolate. I wasn't particularly impressed with that either. Again, it was bland. There was no chocolate-y taste to it. To top it off, I came home and remembered that I ordered Garlic Bread as a starter to come with the mains and I never got it! Luckily my brother-in-law kept the receipt because it turns out we got charged for it! I feel like you had it in for me this evening...

Came here for a birthday celebration, the food was delicious and the fajitas and tacos were amazing. You have to try their fajitas they are to die for! 😍

We visited this Mexican restaurant with some friends on a Saturday evening 2 weeks ago. All we can say is OMG!!!! This place is more like a cafe than a restaurant which sums up why it's situated on a back street of the main town. They don't sell beer on draught, only bottled beers. Although it has a sort of decor for a Mexican theme, there is much more they can do to improve it. The food is very bland, not well presented and the portions are small. Our friends other half ordered a buritto and what arrived was shocking. We all know what a buritto is so you'd expect a Mexican restaurant to perfect it. Well.......what arrived on the plate was a half size chicken wrap and a portion of rice next to it......yes next to it not inside the buritto. When the staff were questioned on what looked like a kids meal they replied that's how it comes. They have no idea what Mexican food is. I had the ribs & wings with chips. The presentation was hopeless, the chips were home made and the food is served on cold plates. Summing this up we will definitely NOT be returning to this restaurant.

We dropped in on a Friday evening with our kids (7 & 9). The staff were accommodating in finding us a table. Service was great throughout, and quality of food was excellent.

Food was terrible this evening! Nachos soggy and cold, jalapeños all broken up, burrito over salty. Very dissapointed. Only nice part we’re the ribs.

We had a bad experience I this restaurant. The house white we recommend for my mother in law was sour and tasted like it was sitting there for days. The food was very sad condition and only eat it because we were hungry! We are professional chefs working in Michelin star level . We know our food very well. I'm not saying I was expecting anything near a Michelin star but a good Mexican food. This didn't happen all of our salads had sweetcorn on it looked like the chef was obsessed about sweetcorn. My mother in-law had some rice and the peas was very sad looking,old and grey. Definitely not returning and did not worth the money we paid . It's not what a good Mexican food should represent!

Love this place, my family and I spent the evening here and loved it, a whole meal all for £22 and the drinks are stunning, staff are really friendly and had a laugh with some very skilled cocktail maker behind the bar also, would definitely recommend.

We was here on an evening when the restaurant was fully booked including a large Christmas party. Even though the staff were busy we couldn't fault them. Fantastic food as ever. Best tasting grub and my go to treat. BUT the portions have shrunk massively. I first noticed a couple of weeks ago and accepted it as I understand the need at the moment but the latest order was noticeably smaller again. Mushrooms have gone from 10 to 8 to 6 and the chilli is now in a container half the size. Such a shame as it will now affect family ordering.

Had a great meal. There was 14 of us and the food was so tasty, we had the party menu. Only moan was that the fajita were hotter than usual. Lovely atmosphere and wr can't wait for our next workshop meal.

Went for a walk around the nearby castle before going into this cosy little restaurant. The staff were very polite and friendly and the food was great. We would recommend making room in your budget to be able to choose a cocktail from the ample menu.

A random trip to Tonbridge saw a visit to this restaurant. We went in the middle of the day and there was no one else in the restaurant. The food here was amazing. Nachos with the most cheese I’ve ever had (the secret to good nachos is more cheese than needed). Then the fajitas were perfectly portioned with all the fillings tasting rich and varied. Great value, would recommend.
