A very well spent evening with the family. We visited on Friday evening, noticed a long queue at-least more than an hour before we step into the boat. It was around 30-35 minutes tour , and we enjoyed to know about the architectural on both side of the river. One of the never miss attractions of the city.

Went at night and the lights looked so beautiful. The only bummer was that since it was late most of the places had closed already besides bars. Great for taking photos though since it was pretty much empty.

This was the time to go...boats were waiting for passengers where during Christmas break it was a 2-3 hour wait for a boat. Businesses basically empty!!

River Walk, San Antonio, Tx. It is a place with a great festive atmosphere, mariachis and music, there are many shops and above all good restaurants for all tastes, it is very pleasant to eat next to the river and then walk along it.

Awesome! We went on Christmas and the decoration was pretty cool, the boats were full all night but we walk instead and is more beautiful imo you can take photos, visit the restaurants and see things at your own time, very beautiful.

It is a beautiful and well-kept place to walk. It's is charming, full of restaurants with many options, especially for Mexican food. But the place is crowded, and if you are interested in eating in one of those river-walk restaurants, you need to wait for a minimum of 30 minutes or make a reservation a couple of days in advance.

Came here before a show at the Frost Cenyer and it was a lot of fun. The lights are still up for Christmas and the area was beautiful. Very relaxing evening here!

Came here for my wife’s BD weekend trip! Twas a first time visiting around this area so it was quite amusing to me that the river flowing through the city!! Bunch of restaurants, hotels, gift shops and sweet shops like icecream and drink places are there! Quite convenient as you can walk out straight to the river walk! Day time walk was fun but night time view was also beautiful! We got to try on the boat ($15 per person) at night time and it was a good experience! :) If you are around San Antonio! A should come here and enjoy some times! We had a good time indeed! Cheers 🥂

We love the River Walk as far as the experience is concerned. We did a boat tour and that was interesting. But all the food and drinks are very overpriced and underwhelming. We would suggest enjoying the River walk but dine elsewhere.

Words cannot describe the feeling I had when I were in this fantastic place! You walk through the very high beautiful trees alongside a calm shiny waterway. Sometimes a boat with around 20 to 40 visitors passes and you can hear the team leader’s voice describing the area. Designs in this area are fantastic! Lots of great beautiful Coffees and restaurants are on your way. It’s better to park your car out of this area. You can spend a whole day enjoying this place 🥰

Even though its such a well known tourist destination in downtown San Antonio, its still a good time! There are so many different places to try! Theres plenty to sit and bathrooms available to the public.

Wow it was wonderful spending time with my family

I was passing through San Antonio with a friend and I have to say I was very impressed by this city. The River Walk honestly blew me away. It's an incredibly scenic and walk able path connecting every main attraction in the city. It's lined with restaurants, old historical structures, bars, beautiful views of the city and many fun attractions. Reading about the history, it seemed like the city really had to fight to keep this thing alive, and I am really happy that we stopped here

The San Antonio, River Walk to get unique experience that you never get any where. The crowd and decor around, the scenery are very attractive. The culture and downtown vibes are captivating. Visiting in the evening with lights and different colors adds lot of interesting facts. Boat ride is also good, but you will have to wait some time. This is #1 location in San Antonio and if you are planning Southern Texas Trip, this is a must to visit place.

Absolutely stunning place to have a walk in downtown of San Antonio (TX) along the river, lots of beautiful trees, plants, loved this place, very peaceful and colourful. It’s full of different restaurants, bars, music, pieces of art on the way and you can get a boat for the trip on the river as well. Parking is very close right in the center and absolutely not expensive. I think it’s a special place for people who live in San Antonio. The atmosphere there very pleasant. Can imagine how it can be beautiful in the evenings and Christmas time, as the trees have the lights on. Absolutely recommend to visit if you have the occasion.

I vent to San Antonio in August of 2023 for a Karol G concert and my boyfriend choose the hotel. It was one right of the San Antonio river walk and I have never been here nor heard of it. We walked a good amount of it and besides the great weather I really enjoyed it. Not just all the restaurants and shops around it but the views were pretty. I for sure want to go back.

Clean, ample room space, nice rooms, easy check in; check out, easy travel to various places, such as North Star shopping plaza, Walmart, W. burger, the center of San Antonio is about 10 minutes away, etc. The hotel shuttle can take you up to 2 miles away, the breakfast alone is a 7/10, if you are expecting a wide variety of food it won't be but it is good to go out without rushing to look for breakfast, this alone is of 6am to 9am, if you go 9:10am to the dining room it will no longer be available. They are very exact in the schedule... but the buffet is always clean and tidy.

Good to spend half a day strolling around. Ambience is nice with restaurants on either side of the river. On occasions, you may be lucky to catch some live music too.

We went during the Christmas Eve. It was crowded but still moving along. The lights were beautiful. We had been previously but not during Christmas time. Previously noticed some foul smells but not this time, thankfully. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe & it was a little pricey, but that was expected. Food & service was GREAT.

Nice vibe at this place amidst busy Texan city. Was a good walk and lovely dining and shopping options around.

Simply beautiful! It is a small river that runs through the tourist part of San Antonio with many interesting things on each of its shores. Restaurants, tourist places, a wilder part and it ends in a mall. It also has very nice bridges that cross from side to side, and you can travel on some kind of boats. I didn't do it because it seemed expensive USD 35 One of the best things to do in San Antonio

San Antonio River Walk is a must visit attraction when you are visiting San Antonio. It is beautiful at any time of the day. But more so after lights come on during the holidays. Everything takes on a magical appearance. The fairy lights in the trees twinkle and take you to a different place. The ride is not very long. They say 45 minutes, but it gets over in around 35 minutes. Or maybe they were going fast because of the big holiday crowds which were waiting in line for their turn. The audio of our boat was not very clear. I didn't get what was said - deducting 1/2 star for that. You can book tickets online, which saves you time to stand in line to buy ticket. But you still have to stand in line to board the boat. They should allow us to pick time to board when booking the tickets online - deducting 1/2 star for that. The lines were really long and after a full day of doing tourist things, we were tired. Timed boarding would be helpful.

Good place to enjoy the evening. There are areas for peaceful walks and also an area for music and entertainment.

Could be more entertaining during the Christmas time along with the few lights that was shown. We enjoyed the day ride but the evening ride was a little disappointing, expected more lights and events because it’s Christmas and new year

The Riverwalk is an absolute must-visit if you are new to San Antonio. It's got everything you need to keep yourself entertained if you've got a free day to walk the city. If you're lucky to be in town around Christmas, you can see it while it's lit up from root to rooftop.

I grew up in San Antonio and have spent many years enjoying all the beauty, charm, great food, and drinks with those who mean the most to me. There's never a bad time to visit, every holiday there is something going on including parades, festivals, special events. Don't believe anyone who says it's a tourist trap, you'll have a great time and there's something for everyone. St Patrick's Day is always a blast on the famous San Antonio Riverwalk. Everyone belongs here.

Really nice suprise found while I went for a walk in San Antonio. Many shops and restaurants along man made banks of brick and concrete. Cool place to stay also. Many hotels along the river walk. And transportation boats in the river!

Very nice walk and learn some things

Always a delight, especially this time of year with all the festive lighting and holiday decorations.

So beautiful! We went in December and it was the highlight of our trip. It’s a wonderful way to spend some time. We were shocked by how serene it was. You can also take a boat ride which we didn’t end up doing but looked fun. There are tons of restaurants where you can eat right on the water.

The river walk is a really cool place to walk with family, friends, and your lover. I would recommend going at night because they have lights on the trees. Hope this helps!

Have you been to the river walk, have you been to the river walk? Everyone is always asking, it’s usually the first thing they ask. Be sure to get on the boats that are available. I say this because I didn’t know about the tours originally.

Great history around the river walk, however be prepared for long queues especially during weekends and holidays.

It wasn’t what I thought it would be. Very crowded and not cheap. A lot of places were just too high.
