What a beautiful and scenic walking path. It was well maintained but added a few challenges for those of us visiting with strollers. Definitely got our workout and steps in for the day when we came to visit.

The San Antonio Riverwalk is a beautiful walkway along the River. There are hundreds of wonderful places including: monuments, restaurants, bars, shops, churches, hotels and much more. The landscaping is beautifully manicured, the area is very clean and well maintained. The boat rides down the river are very enjoyable and the tour guides are funny and informative. We really enjoyed our visit and the boat ride is a great deal. .

Hands down my absolute favorite place in Texas, any time of the year. Definitely check it out at Christmas time, though. The lights and ambiance of the season make it all the more magical.

You can walk until very late and it is very safe, a little bit only in the non-commercial areas, but you really enjoy the walk.

We had an awesome time! The Riverwalk is beautiful, and kept our toddler busy. We did the obligatory touristy river boat ride and it was enjoyable to see a good amount of the downtown Riverwalk and learn some possibly true history.

Lovely walk. I would recommended it. Some of the bars on it are ridiculously over priced so watch that. Plenty to see in terms of sculptures, birds, restaurants and bars.

We’ve been there several times. The place really comes alive at night (lit up boats and buggies). We just wish there wasn’t as much garbage laying around in the corners.

It's great to walk along the river walk from Pearl to Alamo. Relaxing and inspiring. Especially when I visited at the end of April; Times when the weather is not yet warm and walking is not tiring. Get your coffee from Pearl and walk until you get tired.

Loved there serene walks with lush green trees and plants and flowing river sprinkled with restaurants. Go in early morning and it quite, go in evening for a lively bustling party like atmosphere .

Great solo or couples area for fun, scenery, and great food! I was there during fiesta week and it was great. There were performances on the river and it was really busy. Loved it!

Good to walk around, alittle bit crowded

Lots of restaurants and a few shops along the Riverwalk. Several drug induced and drug addicts along the river 2 days in a row. Only had seen law enforcement the 2nd day for a few minutes. Tourist attraction but could use lots of improvement.

The walk was comfortable and serene. The path was well-maintained and easy to navigate, making it accessible for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights of the River Walk was the abundance of restaurants lining the riverbank. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, there's something for everyone. The timing of my visit was also ideal, as the weather was perfect for a riverside stroll.

Worth visiting if you have been to Texas. Always a happening place. Food is great and if you like to boat ride in the river with kids, go for it. Get tickets online prior to visit for rides which might offer complementary passes.

Iconic place to go walking around in San Antonio! I went during the daytime but it was cool with plenty of shaded areas. I didn't need a restroom or water so I didn't take notice if there were any public facilities around. Unfortunately I didn't know that a LOT is under renovations right now but I enjoyed this spot all the same.

There are plenty of reviews but this is worth checking out when in San Antonio. Worth staying at a hotel along the river walk so you have easy access to the many stores, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Try to find a local spot along the way. Early morning is a great time for a run or walk before it gets too busy.

Wonderful place to eat, drink, and shop. Lots of different restaurants with different price points. Absolutely gorgeous at night!

That place is magical, very beautiful, with a variety of places to shop and eat and dance. You will find all the history of San Antonio there, we made the River ride, super nice and they do it in English and Spanish, it lasts about half an hour and costs $12 per person, there are clean bathrooms available in the shopping center and in the places where they sell food. We chose the parking lot before arriving at the La Quinta hotel, we paid $20 for the entire afternoon and night and then we saw one for $5 🙈 but it was safer in the first one.

In my opinion the most beautiful is above all a lively walk of all the cities in Texas. The boat trip is also definitely worth trying as the thrill of experiencing the nocturnal atmosphere of this place which is truly magical, the river, the lights, the clubs, contribute to this!

Loved the experience. A little warm(definitely check the weather before going) got to take my mom who flew in and she was amazed. Though she did attract the tourist and got sucked in a few places . The night was amazing . The Riverwalk was thoroughly clean and businesses were with fiesta decorations.

A lovely walk in a historic & beautiful part of San Antonio. The river walk is filled with shops, restaurants and rest areas but doesn’t need any of that to make it special. A simple walk along the water will have you forgetting you are in the middle of such a large city.

It’s nice place to walk around. It has plenty of shops and restaurants on the river bank on both sides. Parking can be done using city garages. There are many choices of shops and restaurant. If you are visiting during day time, bring water and hat as it gets hot during day in Summer. Evening time is much prettier due to lighting. Overall a fun place to hang out for whole day with family.

Artistic path along the river with lots of restaurants. The river, infact, is as small as a creek and with some cans, nylon bags...floating that reminds us how hard to keep our environment cleaned

A very creative use of subterranean space. Lots of restaurants and shops underneath the busy streets. A nice loop around with stairs leading up to the street in the four corners of the River Walk. Landscaped very nicely.. complete with residential ducks. Within walking distance to many of San Antonio hotels.

Fiesta vendors on the river walk

Fun to walk, especially early in the day when much more peaceful. Plenty of choices for food.

Great place for a long walk! There are so many pretty things to see on the side of the walk, there are also lots of restaurants on the sides. They also have a boat ride down the river that says a lot of things about the place. The other great thing is that it is right next to the Alamo and you can easily walk to either place. Overall great to do for a walk, and pretty sights.

Beautiful location, convenient travel

I repeat my comment: The walk along the San Antonio River is worth it inside and outside the city, but the River Walk, which is like an addition or channel to the uneven river, is a theme park for tourists (original but not quiet or “clear” as it appears in the tourist photos, at least in the afternoon and at night) full mainly of Texmex restaurants, no “cafes and bars” as some websites say: either you eat or you don't sit down (they tell you to have a drink standing and in 3 places they told us). It was very difficult in the afternoon/evening to try to sit somewhere just to have a drink before dinner. People with tinnitus or migraines should abstain: most do not understand dining without the background of full-blown music, which is combined with the sound of the surrounding venues that have live music (that is interesting), plus the voices of the tour guides. tourist boats that pass through the canal just a meter away from the chairs and tables of the restaurants (between which it is difficult to walk at lunch or dinner time, but it is the only walk). And we went in April outside of designated dates and during the week, when there were supposedly fewer people. I'll leave it for another day to delve deeper into the topic of Texmex food... Nachos, which are the simplest thing in the world, with a smokeless brown paste of black beans and a white dough on top that could be cheese or plaster, and with more little piles of cilantro than of guacamole!; and order fajitas or vegetarian burritos all filled with green beans and peas!! No red/green peppers or tomatoes in Texas? The vegetarian dishes there seem like hell for little children, a punishment. In short, it has little to do with Mexican food and I suppose a lot to do with Texan food. Well, except for Boudro's, we did have a good dinner there. Maybe it must have been because of going to eat in the tourist areas, maybe in other parts of San Antonio the food is good. But in New Orleans we ate and dined in tourist and non-tourist areas, and all the places were wonderful and delicious, each dish a pleasure!

Everyone must do this at least once. It's a great park with a different feel on each side of the river. It always seems crowded but people are friendly and polite. Lots of restaurants with outside seating, allowing my dogs to preview the fare at each table. Fun afternoon walk full of art and history.

Come and Enjoy in San Antonio tx..you will get a unique and fun experience..Visit its Historical Missions..The Alamo The River Walk The market. The Catholic Church. Take a ride on the trolleybuses. You will enjoy it in the horse carts.

Stroller accesible, but narrow lanes, lots of people to see. If you're not okay with crowded places, then this river walk is not for you. Over all pretty good experience we got to eat some delicious food but it is a bit pricy.

It is a very nice place to walk, enjoy a good walk and enjoy the different cuisines of the place.
