Rosemont Restaurant And Cocktail Bar in Shepway

We live locally and we had been eager to try Rosemount for a while. Seeing the 50% off the lunch menu deal in March (making it £25 for 2 people for 3 courses ) we booked a table. Note.. There is an automatic 12% service charge added. The restaurant is lovely. Beautifully decorated, nice background music and welcoming staff on arrival. Our 3 course meal was superb, can't fault it at all. Good sized portions, hot, well presented and tasty. Our only criticism is initially the service was slow taking around 20 minutes to take our drinks orders. There wasn't a lot of engagement by staff when they took the order or delivered the food. However, this is a really lovely restaurant with an interesting and varied menu. The ambience, particularly on a sunny day, made us feel like we were somewhere in the Mediterranean. We will return for sure.

Excellent lunch with a friend today. Ribeye steak with fresh asparagus, brocoli, carrots and sautè potatoes. Really enjoyed it and pleasantly surprised at the quality. Couldn't fault any of it. They even brought the steak out to make sure it was cooked to perfection before accepting it. Well done and keep up the good work.

Seven of us went for lunch to celebrate our daughters birthday. We chose to have 3 courses from a varied menu together with a very nice Pinot Grigio (3). The choices were interesting and tasty and all served with a smile. I must say the staff were welcoming ,attentive and friendly. It was the first time we have eaten there and it will not be the last. A lovely comfortable restaurant with a great ambiance.

A really fun lunch made all the better as the food was great, good selection especially for vegetarians and service extremely good with Kaan very attentive!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Ambience, staff, drinks and food are all wonderful. No booking is required as we turned up knowing it would be busy (it was Valentines weekend), and surprisingly we were offered a table for two without any hesitation or wait time. Staff are very helpful and attentive, food is freshly cooked, presented well and tasted delicious. Cocktails are to die for! If you haven't already visited this place then I strongly suggest you do. You will NOT be disappointed.

Great food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. Really enjoyed my meal. My only slight criticism is that the background music was too loud. I love background music, but my friends and I could barely hold a conversation without shouting at one another.

Used to be amazing but sadly no more. Prices increased. Overcooked steak. Cold veg. Curly haired waiters hair falling into food. Terrible pornstar martini. Staff way too relaxed not even looking at customers to see if they need anything. Almost avoidant. Not sure they need the money. Seems dodgy and overpriced.

Exceptional food quality very fresh, exciting menu, good service .

We were visiting as a family of 7 from Southampton. Choose this restaurant based on reviews and we were not disappointed. This place is incredible. Mediterranean menu, everything is cooked fresh and a lovely diversity in the menu choices. The drinks and cocktail menu is equally as diverse and also a lovely non-alcoholic selection and hot drinks. The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful, classy chic but with a relaxed vibe. Kaan served us tonight and he was first class! Thank you Rosemont for a lovely evening and we will certainly be visiting you again 10/10!!

Beautiful setting with exceptional service. A member of the team even spotted me arriving and rushed to open the door for me. Everything was perfect, with the exception of a really small meal portion. It was the smallest piece of salmon I'd ever seen with two thin pathetic broccoli florets and a small lump of mash. This was £22 which I thought was terrible value for money albeit the food was delicious. The server did mention something about the broccoli - perhaps the restaurant was having supply issues(?). The wine (a Turkish Merlot) was excellent though.

Approaching the restaurant, we could hear the extremely loud music before my boyfriend opened the door, I did quickly ask “are you sure you booked? Sounds like a private venue” he assured me he did. When entering, the music smacked us in the face, why on earth is the music so loud? Anywho, we bit our tongue and was showed to our seats, by a nice waiter. Who quite frankly, looked exhausted bless him. Menus were placed on our table and he scurried along. It was visible that there were a few work Christmas parties here and way into their food n drinks, but this still didn’t equate to the level the music was sitting at, it was soooooo difficult to hear my boyfriend over the table (please bare in mind that we’re a table of 2). Now please, I’m not expecting “a morgue atmosphere” and I’m certainly not deaf, but the music definitely doesn’t need to be that loud. Orders placed after about 15/20 mins… I’m sure said waiter was lost in the back somewhere but it’s okay, we were bopping along to something or other. Drinks and then shortly after, food arrived. It was OK. Nothing spectacular. I just had to ask the waiter at this point “why on earth is the music so loud?! The fatigued waiter simply said “that’s how the bosses like it. We turn it down, they turn it back up”. So… yeah? Sure? Fancy a rave whilst on date night? Go ahead.

The Egyptian breakfast here is honestly another level. Amazing. And the place is beautiful and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. And the Egyptian breakfast is amazing…have I said that before?

Went for their breakfast option, and it did not entice me at all to come back for their main meal foods. Eggs had red specks on them, not chill or any flavour, needed salt none on our table. The luncheon sausages were awful didn’t. Bread wasn’t warm. Falafel the main part of the dish wasn’t hot, crumbled as soon as you touched it and wasn’t tasty one bit. Overall disappointing. Plus to top it off had a flat white with too much foam that is £4.40?! I don’t think London is that crazy for such a small cup. Nice music that’s about it.

The ambiance is fantastic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. While the selection of vegetarian dishes may be somewhat limited, each one is a delightful treat for the taste buds. And don’t forget to try the drinks—they’re just as exceptional!

Regular visitor for work lunch meals and evening meals with friends and the food and staff are always amazing. Cocktails are great and the food has never been bad. Highly recommended.

We were at the Rosemont for dinner and drinks. The service is attentive, will recommend and give advice. The interior is so luxurious, big chandeliers, sculptures on the walls, etc. The food is Mediterranean cuisine. They have great hummus and tzatziki.

We had breakfast and it was delicious. And service was good overall good. Will recommend.

The cocktails were excellent, and the food was amazing .I chose a vegetarian option (it sounded interesting) , it was cooked to order .and was piping hot and beautifully presented.

Absolutely excellent food (try the dip-meze as an appetizer if you've never had great hummus), a good selection of drinks and very attentive service. We were very surprised to experience this level of quality in Folkestone. Great combination of mediterranean (Greek, Turkish, Cypriot?) styles, with a well focused while still varied menu. Only the music didn't really fit the theme/feeling/vibe. It was a little too "electro" for the place. Something more mediterranean would fit better. Will definitely visit again.

I’m fairly regular to The Rosemont and thought it would be a great spot for my grandfather’s 90th birthday, and of course we were not disappointed. The food and cocktails were excellent as always and the service and hospitality from the waiters and manageress were top tier.

The atmosphere is lovely and the decor is gorgeous. The food was very slow (drinks arrived after starters?!) and when it did arrive it was extremely bland. I had the aubergine starter which was just that, mushed cold aubergine. Then I had the dolmades for main and again, extremely bland! And before you reply saying I cleared my plate, with food taking SO LONG to arrive I knew that sending my plate back would have meant I'd have to wait ages for a replacement. Drinks were decent.

We had a absolute amazing dinner at Rosemont‘s!! The staff was excellent and the atmosphere unbelievable. The decorations are amazing. The food was gorgeous!

Service is poor. Food is barely ok. Staff are confused whether the food is halal or not. Their tea is also very bad, they don't have wider selection of beverages except for alcoholic. Staff are not professional at all. They even forget to give spoon with soup. They even ask for help from customers to give plates while tidying up the table. Their dessert is awful too.

Our b&b host recommended this place. We came in pretty late but they would still serve us food. And it was great! The chef knows how to give the dishes that extra bite you’re looking for, the staff was very friendly. I absolutely recommend going here!

Looking for a nice restaurant prior to driving to Europe, my wife came across the Rosemont, I’m so glad she did, I can speak highly enough of the staff, the food and the ambiance, unfortunately I live 299+ miles away or this would be my local go to restaurant. Rosemont thank you for a lovely evening.

Very nice service and beautiful location, nicely decorated. The music was a bit too loud for my taste but that's a matter of opinion. My cocktail was amazing, the food very good but nothing spectacular, everything a bit too pricey for what it was, but still okay. Definitely a recommendation when in Folkestone!

Super chilled environment. Nice place to go for that extra classy feel, from the decor, service, food presentation & menu. A must when celebrating or feeling like trying something with a bit better quality of an experience, than other places in town!

Absolutely beautiful food ! We eat in here two nights in a row the last few days and WOW ! Both meals incredible. I can honestly say I’ve eaten round folkstone in a lot of places but this comes out on top for service , atmosphere and especially the food . All staff from bar to kitchen to waiters have got it spot on . Can’t wait to go back ! . Prices are spot on as well , I’d honestly pay double for that food , it’s that good . 🤙🤙 now get down there .

I absolutely adore this restaurant! Where do I begin the staff are lovely and so attentive; and the food is always Divine. I came down to Folkestone for a little staycation as I do in the summer and this restaurant is my go to in terms of having amazing drinks and food!! The breakfast and the dinner are both 10/10. I love the decor and the friendly environment the restaurant brings. The Consistency from the breakfast, dinner, desserts and drinks are fabulous. I would 110% recommend going to The Rosemont. Thank you for the gorgeous time!!

The food was delicious and the service was great, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. A minor issue was the music which was a bit too loud but we were still able to have a conversation without any issues. We very much enjoyed eating here!

We wanted a special evening and they delivered. Moe looked after us and the whole evening was what you want if you are paying to eat out.

Travelled to enjoy a Date Night and was well worth it. So friendly and attentive with really great food.... and Cocktails. We will be back.

Came for a nice birthday dinner, and was blown away by the food. Woaw woaw woaw. I would say it’s worth the price for when you want something for a nice night out. I definitely came with the wrong expectations of the staff, as I found that they were almost too uptight. With their bottom ups and arms behind their backs it was a little too fancy for me. It just feels unnatural, but that’s just me. Not their fault, it’s of course the concept of the restaurant, and they were so kind and attentive.

What a treat! This was our first time: the food varied from Turkish breakfast to hamburger and everyone enjoyed theirs immensely - I had the Turkish breakfast. All beautifully cooked and presented, large quantities at a very reasonable price and served by friendly and professional staff. We will go again!

This a great place to eat. This is a lovely restaurant, this has the most delicious food in Kent in my opinion. We went here yesterday for a family meal. It is lovely and atmospheric. This is a perfect place for picky eaters and people who want something different. I had the bacon burger and this was delicious. While my beautiful girlfriend had the salmon. This was delicious 5/5

Last meal before we left Folkestone and it was lovely place for ppl relaxing. We had seafood linguine, seafood paella and a squid stew something (sorry I forgot the name but it is in main. Best of the night for my wife and little one.) I personally love seafood linguine and the paella is also great — not typical seasoning but taste wonderful! Definitely love to revisit. The steak seemed so good.

We visited this evening, booking wasn't required, we were met at the door. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and polite. The restaurant has a beautiful warm decor and and the menu has a good range catering for vegetarians aswell as a great choice of meat and fish dishes. I requested chips instead of rice and this was not a problem. When the Slovakia arrived it was amazing, tender chicken, I could not eat it all but the waiter offered to box whatever I wanted. A great meal, lovely staff a must for anyone visiting the area. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for sure.

I love eating at Rosemont! The food is always delicious and reminds me of home cooking with a touch and a sprinkle of class. The service is always incredible here, I've had the pleasure of having Moe serving me more than a couple times. He always provides fantastic customer service, great attention to needs and details, and always makes me and my guests feel extremely welcome. Rosemont is a place I will visit over and over again! Amazing food! Staff are kind and courteous. Atmosphere marked down as the tables are very close together and you almost share dinner with the people either side. The Tomahawk was exceptional!

Great night. We weren't on a normal schedule and wanted to drink a few cocktails before dinner, and when we eventually ordered we went for something a little unusual... But Kaan was the perfect host. If you want delicious food and drink served in a classy but friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

What a beautiful venue! The cocktails are really good quality, and you can tell they've been created with care. We shared some mezze, and it was all so tasty, the muhammara and shredded chicken was devine! To top it all off, our waiter Kaan was so friendly and warm, so attentive and informative, just a really lovely guy! A really great place, we'd love to come back if we're ever in Folkestone again.

I chose Rosemont to take my friends for a evening of dinner and cocktails on arrival we ordered our drinks 20 mins later a member of staff approached us to say we only had a hour left to sit at our table he was very abrupt made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable we was at that point already to order he went on to say there is a 2 hour time limit which is not stated on booking email such a shame we left after our food and found another restaurant to finish our evening I wouldn’t recommend

Our experience at Rosemont Restaurant tonight was impressive. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our party. The service remained top-notch, and even though the food arrived slightly later than usual, it was understandable given the busy evening. The exceptional service and understanding staff made our visit enjoyable, and the food lived up to the restaurant's reputation. A great choice, especially during busy times!

Nice place, polite staff. I was very impressed with the nice decor and nice clean loos. Nice comfortable seating outside as well. Good food.

First visit. Wet evening but a restful well decorated restaurant and bar area. Staff very welcoming and professional. I had a nice glass of red Merlot plus well prepared tap water. My wild mushroom starter was excellent and also the apparently home prepared breads. My main course of large king prawns in a delicate highly enjoyable sauce was both filling and very good to eat. Only a coffee as too full for a desert.

Shortly after arriving we were hurried to order being told that there were 2 hour timeslots on tables as its the weekend, which I said should be stated when booking! A very rude man then took our order making it very uncomfortable. At no other point did I see or hear any other table being told about the 2 hr slot. Our meal came out whilst our starter plates were still at the table and hadn't been cleared away. My meal was Dolmades which really wasn't that - it was stuffed vegetables mostly rather than vine leaves which wasn't particularly hot. Needless to say we didn't order any more cocktails after our initial one, which was their loss as we were planning on staying the night and they didn't get a tip! Terrible customer service.

Had an exceptional experience at Rosemont Restaurant! We made a last-minute booking of 5, and Kane, the young gentleman on the phone, went out of his way to accommodate us. We were seated in the left corner and indulged in a culinary delight with paella, chicken tagine, and bon filet sarma. The flavors were truly delightful, making our night memorable. Huge thanks to the Rosemont team – we'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely meal last night at the rosemont, our 3rd visit and every time the food has been delicious. Our waitress Clare last night was brilliant, great customer service really does make a meal/night out great.

We was seated ASAP! I had the egg royal of the breakfast menu. Was wonderful, delicious food and affordable prices. Staff was lovely and so friendly. Food came within 15 minutes of seating. Such fresh food and fresh cold soft drinks.

I ordered the fillet steak at about £32, but wanted chips instead of vegetables. I was told that I couldn't do a substitution and would have to pay a further £6 for chips. Other meals allowed substitutions, but not the fillet steak for some reason. For context, Rick Stein's fish and chip emporium in Padstow charges £5.95 for chips. I ordered something else out of principle. When our meals arrived, my wife's burger came with chips and I asked if they were the '£6 chips'. They were. I'm sorry to report that they were just common or garden chips, spectacularly unexciting. I told the server, who was brilliant, that I would never go back again, and I won't. It's not the £6, it's the arrogance and blatant profiteering. Steak and chips is a 'thing'. It shouldn't cost an extra £6.

Another great meal last night in the Rosemont. Service was exceptional, as was the food. One of the tastiest steaks I've ever eaten.

Our second visit to this restaurant after two years. Not disappointed at all! Tasty food, very attentive, friendly and kind staff! The decor is something else in this restaurant. You feel like you are on holiday as soon as you step in. Highly recommend.

I had an exceptional experience at Rosemont Restaurant. Despite the bustling crowd, they seamlessly accommodated us, providing top-notch service. Special shout-out to the young man at the door and our server, Sida, who went above and beyond.
