I had the Chicken Pathia. It was delish! Chicken just melted. Perfect flavours.

I have been using this place for about 8 years and normally really good, I ordered a delivery and waited an hour and 20 mins, it turned up cold and the chicken was black. Not sure what has changed but the food and service was terrible

Haven’t had a curry for awhile. Ordered from this restaurant, it was lovely the food was great temperature was perfect. Was lovely to have something different. I would definitely order from you guys again, delivery lady was lovely.

The chicken pieces were so dry, like chalk, the curry was litterally just tomato and water and oil, barely any spices. Oily sauce with no taste, dry meat cubes, poorly cooked. Popodoms tasted old oil, we ordered chicken noodles was litterally a pot noodle with a few bits of druy chicken. Very disappointing, how did you get 4.8?? Not happy to have paid almost 50 pounds for that... Would be happy with a refund tbh.

Unfortunately this was bland and the curry watery. Samosas mainly just onion and chilli. Hopefully just an off day as the company clearly has great reviews.

I enjoyed what was delivered but no rice was sent with the dhansak as expected. Fortunately, I had some I could cook to eat with what was delivered. A disappointment and far from the usual excellence.

Always good and arrives before time

Not only was the food late but when it did arrive the lamb was tough as old boots the chicken wasn't much better. The peshawary nan was all dough and unreadable most of the food went in the bin waste of money

Another great meal from this restaurant. Lots and lots of meat in the curries. And also lots of spice. The meal for one is almost enough food for two. Don't be put off by long delivery times, as every time I've ordered from here, the food has arrived a lot earlier.

Always the best curry in Folkestone!

A rare mix-up with my curry. I ordered a tikka vindaloo but received a plain vindaloo. Still spicy and tasty but not what I prefer and a little more expensive.

In twenty years I have never had a bad experience with the guys at Clay Oven, by far the best Indian food locally. Have tried others and always come back here. 6/5 stars.

Found it now after 15 year of moving down here from dartford tried lots from down here from folkestone this is the best for price and quality in this time 👍👍👍

Excellent as usual. Continues to maintain high quality and all important 5 star hygiene rating. Many other places in Folkestone, cheriton and Hythe have slipped down to 3 stars with one popular Indian takeaway being forced to close. Says to me they really put the effort in at Clay Oven and I appreciate this by giving them my custom.

Decent texture with the meat and veg. That however can’t make up for every dish being totally devoid of flavour.

I think the naan was stuffed with garlic rather than the ordered vegetables but the meal was otherwise perfect.

Best takeaway Indian food I've had for a long time. Great staff, friendly service, very limited parking nearby but will deliver. Excellent menu, not the cheapest but great value (meal for 2 £25) that included 2 poppadoms, mixed starter, 2 mains & a side, rice & nan. Will definitely return.

Staying in folkestone and tried one of the closest curry houses to our hotel, and was pleasantly surprised with the lovely tasting food .One of the best Currys I have had in a long time .Very nice welcome and prompt service .all round excellent 👍

Having tried the majority of Indian takeaways in the Folkestone area, I can say without a doubt that The Clay Oven is the best, my miles. Their delivery is swift, the food is hot, it's not swimming in oil and is excellently spiced. Thank you!

Top curry, good heat. Very nice

Curry was was more like water than in a sauce, not alot of chicken in the currys too. The naan bread seemed to have a garlic butter rubbed on it that hadn't even melted in to the bread.

Unfortunately the food was only just warm when we got it.

Ordered from here three or four times now and I really enjoy their food. Can be a little oversalted in parts but some of the veg dishes like the veg pathia are excellent. Some very pleasant tandoori dishes too. Promptly delivered and reasonably good value. Recommend!
