I miss food from home and I found the PERFECT resto We were simply spoiled all afternoon

Great restaurant from every aspect, Great food, Great service and nice atmosphere. Love it.

I ordered the Large BBQ Lamb Ribs, is was completely rubbish , on website they have just nice photos but food is rubbish

We had a great evening, the food was tasty and plentiful. There was a mix up over the birthday cake we brought in but the management couldn't have been more apologetic and certainly made things right. All the staff were very attentive. We will definitely go again.

Unfortunately after a long time I went to Folkestone aspendos, It was absolutely disgusting what we saw, every one is judged by the hear and skin colour, if you are blond or white they offer you very good service, if you are not they serve you very cold, The fact I left them a very good tips which I normally do But this boys they don't deserve anything What makes me laugh the stuff 🦓🫏them self are dark hear and brown skin, whether they are Kurdish or Turkish, but once they see a white person walk in to the restaurant they worship them, but if they see a dark hear or a brown person walk in they look at them and treat them completely different, absolutely disgusting 🤔 We ordered a lot food, but the lamb ribs were way too small, I believe they cut them in half and the lamb chops were too thin Very bad

We went there for my birthday and the food was excellent. The service is always good and the food of the same excellent quality it never disappoints.

Honestly such an amazing eating experience. Attentive staff, wonderful food, generous portions - such a great place to go and close to some stunning views of the sea for when you walk off a ridiculous amount of meat you will eat.

Very pleasant friendly atmosphere, as for the food reasonable price, if you're looking for some where ,I'll recommend this place.

This restaurant is located on the Lease at Folkestone, a stones throw from our Hotel. It was a warm evening, the bifold doors were open and we were given a warm welcome when we entered. Decorated in typically Turkish decor as with the menu. Served complimentary flat bread and olives, which very much reminded us of our holidays in Turkey. I had the salmon fillet and my husband the mixed kebab of Lamb & Chicken. The portions were very good and the dishes were cooked to order and lovely and hot. The lamb kebabs were exceptional, such tender lean meat, melted in your mouth. Service was attentive. Really enjoyed it and would certainly recommend and go again when staying in Folkestone.

Fantastic restaurant with amazing staff. Always generous with portions for the great value. Food is always fresh and sumptuous !!! Tzatziki sauce is absolutely delicious! we always choose this restaurant if we want to eat deliciously.

Has this place changed hands? It has lost is friendly vibe. The menu has changed, not for the better. The staff were not friendly, bordering on being rude and disinterested. The waitresses were stony-faced. We seemed to be ignored for a long time until our order was taken. The starter came before our drinks. Nobody checked up on us to see if the food was OK or if we needed more drinks. It was definitely not the same as our previous visits.

I had lunch at Aspendos today and I have to say the the food and the service was perfect. I ordered the lamb and chicken shish which was cooked to perfection and simply melted in the mouth. Really good portions at a decent price. The kids were also happy with the food as one ate the kofte and the other had the chicken burger from the kids menu. The staff were very attentive and friendly which made the experience wvwn more enjoyable. Thank you Aspendos

Delicious food of high quality, big portions. I had chicken shish kebab - the chicken was very tasty, the rice and bulgur too. The salad was extremely well seasoned. I had ayran too, which was very refreshing and not salty - loved it. Loved the baklavas served at the end too. Great service and clean tables - good hygiene was maintained. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because I didn't love the music, but it wasn't an issue. Overall I thoroughly recommend this place.

Decided to stop here for dinner whilst on holiday for a few days If your looking for a beautiful family friendly restaurant with authentic Turkish food then look no further We were greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel comfortable straight away and presented with complimentary bread, olives and yogurt dip- yummy! We had the mixed kebab which was beautifully cooked, full of flavour and accompanied by delicious sides and a portion so big we couldn’t finish it depute our best efforts Would definitely return if we are here again

We ordered 2 portion of lamb ribs and 2 portion of iskender kebabs. All the kebabs came with rice which none of us could it them as they were like rubber. Kebabs were so salty I thought the chef pour all the packet of salt in our dishes All we could taste was salt even the mezze was pure salt Just a waste of £96 Never again

We ordered a rather large takeaway on Saturday. The place was very busy but the staff reminded attentive to customers. Great atmosphere. Food was very flavourful; the memes tasted delicious. All in all, a very pleasant experience. We will be back for more!

Went there last week and had a great experience. They serve excellent Turkish dishes- the kebabs and platters were generous in portion and tastes great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I noticed afterwards that they didn’t include a service fee in the bill which I only realized when I got home. Could leave a tip for the great service. Despite this, I recommend this place for their food and service

Came for a celebration meal with family. Managed to get a seat outside without reserving, but looks like it gets pretty busy so probably best to book ahead. Had the platter for 2/3 people to share with two cold meze to start. The stuffed vine leaves were very good! The star of the show was the meats, all of which were full of flavour and juicy! There was a lot of rice and bulgur to go with it so definitely a good portion for 3 people. To finish I had a Turkish coffee which came with a piece of Turkish delight. I'd not had a Turkish coffee before, but I was very pleasantly surprised as it had a similar taste to chocolate. Staff were great and the price was fairly reasonable for the portion size you get!

Ordered on just eat for delivery last night food finally come around 2 hours after order placed we usually love aspendos as food is always amazing Our meat was tough and chewy The only real hot thing was the side salad and to top it off I had eaten around 95% of a chicken wing before looking at it to see pink meat

We had a delicious take away meal from here as always but sadly when it arrived it was half the amount of food we had on previous orders and nothing like the amount you get in the restaurant. We don't treat ourselves to a takeaway very often so it was slightly disappointing. More bread than anything else.

I stopped to this restaurant for a take away today after a day in the sun. As soon as I arrived I was aknowled by a nice young man with a genuine, casual, yet very polite attitude & I felt immediately at home. All the staff is nice there, the owner really easy going & chilled out, the waiters all very nice, genuine ,& helpful. The food is reasonably priced with very generous portions & though I fid not eat at the restaurant, whilst waiting I could feel a cosy, warm atmosphere. Located in front of the sea, in the city centre but off the main road, this place is s little secret jewel, the perfect ending of a glorious day out

Had my sisters 60th there x an amazeing place .

It wasn't the first time I had been to Aspendos, but the good was as good as I remember it before. It was good service and the food was excellent. I had the lamb ribs. One word to describe them, excellent! I don't know what the dry rub and spices they use, but blimey, it's good! My wife had lamb something, and she didn't leave any of it. The one thing I would say is that the menus in the photos on here are out of date. The prices are about 10 to 15% higher than shown. Even so, it's still worth the money. And try the red Pamukele red wine. That was nice, too, all for under £70

My review on 30.05.24 - Absolutely loved it here! Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive form the moment we stepped our foot into the restaurant. Definitely recommend dining here if you come to Folkestone - thank you guys for making mine and my aunts first meal in Folkestone a good one :). (5 stars for everything!) Unfortunately today 31.05.24 - I was really disappointed that the atmosphere (staff attentiveness) was not the same as yesterday and today there were MORE staff! Also, I witnessed one of the chef lift his top and scratch his back, touch his phone and scratch his beard, touch various areas of the kitchen corners then use his hands to garnish food... YUCK! Addressing this with the manager he was sorry and surprisingly offered nothing to compensate except to speak to the chefs. The two who this did not relate to are the two who were spoken to despite me explaining it was not THEM! I explained to the manager that I was upset to witness this as yesterday I had a great experience and wrote a 5 star review however I will be changing my review, he just said "Of course, you have to be honest". Very surprised by this service. So disappointed... After today's experience would I recommend... NO!

Restaurant with Turkish specialty. Top notch service. Very kind and caring staff. The decor and atmosphere. The dishes are very generous and delicious. One of the best places to eat good Turkish cuisine in Folkestone.

We had an enjoyable time at Aspendos Folkestone. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was busy but the atmosphere was good. We chose to have the Aspendos Family Special which was beautifully presented and so much to taste. We were disappointed with the Lamb Ribs which were rather chewy. The wine was expensive but we enjoyed it. We enjoyed the complimentary Baklava. I personally did use the facilities but I understand that the male facilities were not up to standard. We will probably visit them again.

Stunningly hood food (you get more than you ordered at no extra cost) with a great lunchtime deal of under £10 for two courses. Definitely recommended

Food is always excellent, particularly the lamb - perfectly tender. Beware the portions are generous though. Service is efficient and welcoming. Had a meal on one occasion when there was a sudden power cut, they carried on cooking on the charcoal by the torch on the chef's mobile phone - still excellent !!

Woooow! Don’t think about it just book it. It’s was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you. The food portions were huge, and tasted AMAZING! Finished off by complementary lolly pops for the kids and baklava and Turkish tea for us! We will be returning more than once. Thank you a great experience.

I went to this place last night and I can honest say it's one of the nicest restaurants I've been too in years! You really feel like you're on holiday. With the music, great staff and furnishings. And what can I say about the food. It was incredible! I couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a great night with amazing food.

Had a surprise 40th party here last week, as usual the food was amazing, huge portions (enough for a doggy bag) the staff are super friendly and the prices aren't bad either.

Bad luck. Just ordered a chicken kebab Some were raw. We informed the waiter, the chef sent the plate back to us saying that's the way it is. We had to eat raw chicken. No more Aspendos. sorry.

What a little gem. Had a late lunch/early dinner here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were extremely attentive and the atmosphere great. We had a sharing platter which was fantastic. Will definitely visit again ☺️ Tiny improvements? The only reason for a 4 star was two observations, the toilets need to be cleaned alot better, smeary tiles, old used toilet roll tubes not thrown away, and the toilet and floor in need of a clean periodically. The stage when re-laying the table next to us the, left crumbs all over seats and some on the tables. Presentation for the next diner!!

We came from London,The experience hear was by far the best,We have been to Many restaurants in Folkestone but I can honestly say this was amazing the food was delicious and service was great to, Polite and funny as well so you could have a joke, can't believe the times we have walk passed and kept saying we have to try it,Well we did and we will definitely be returning with our friends because we have told them as well next time we come up from London.🫶

I was a visitor from Liverpool. I had heard a lot of compliments about this place, I visited with my family, it was my first time in a Turkish restaurant the view was incredible, but I was really disappointed with the food and service. I have ordered Mix kebab and family special but it was raw. Also the cost of food was heavy!

Good food, lots of it, can get very busy, had to re order some drinks otherwise service good. Can be quite noisy if busy, as not alot to deaden the noise. Overall five stars.

One of my favourite spots in Folkestone, whether you're eating-in or getting delivery! I absolutely love the lamb casserole, and the bread, rice and salad served alongside are always fresh and delicious, with generous portions.

Food was amazing. Service was good, but the atmosphere. The night we came there were about 20 people on a table shouting and talking so loud saying cheers, etc. If you want privacy and a quiet time, just make sure nobody loud will come. The service went from 5 stars to 4 as the workers didn't really do anything about it. But anyway, when it is nice and peaceful, the food is amazing. I've gone here lots of times and the food, it's just too good. Would highly recommend.

Some great Turkish food! We came down for few days from London and came to eat here with family. Service was top class and waiter/waitress were very attentive. Food was very good! The only critic I would have is for the liver starter- I think it was overcooked but other than that, lovely!

I can't fault the place really. Everything is immaculately clean. Everyone is welcoming and not pushy. I thought the food was great and good value.

I live in London. However, every time I visit Dover or Folkestone, I visit this restaurant. Sometimes I go to Folkestone only to visit this restaurant. I visit them, mainly because they are Halal, delicious food, and a good portion. The location of the restaurant is just too good. On a summer afternoon having lunch sitting on their Front Patio... Staff are so lovely and nice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They brought us the most delicious sauces ! Totally recommended this place\ one of the top places to eat în Folkestone! Location and sunshine is a bonus!

Good food and nice atmosphere,The only authentic turkish restaurant in town,The portions are big,The service and the staff are good,Try the mixed grill it will feed at least 3 people you get mixture of grilled chicken wings,lamb ribs,lamb kofte and chicken sheesh all on a bed of rice and with 2 dips chilli and garlic,It is a real feast.

We first visited this restaurant last November the night before we traveled to Mainland Europe. We hadn’t made a reservation but the gentleman did let us have a table until the people who had actually reserved it arrived. This year however I made a booking :-)))) And boy we weren’t disappointed just as good as last year!!! And the portions are still as huge as last year, I’ve made a mental note to self not to both have starters next year :-)))) and share one. Again I’d recommend anyone thinking of going to this restaurant BOOK ahead of time to avoid a big disappointment.

Yesterday we went to the folkestone branch for dinner and my sister is gluten free when we told the waiter he was very helpful and for the first time ever she was asked her if she was gluten intolerant or a coeliac. She is in fact coeliac and we were impressed that he knew the difference that made our menu choice easier. He was well informed about her medical condition . I unfortunately didn't get his name but well done for you allergen knowledge x

Excellent food and excellent service. We have always loved Aspendos, for the price, you get a very good portion, excellent, mouth watering and high quality food. I've been here many times and every time the experience has been amazing. We have already booked to have dinner again.

As we travel around Europe we sample all cuisine This restaurant is up there with the very best as it was Brilliant with fresh food with exceptional service. Highly recommended

Best food and customer service in Folkestone!!! After driving 4.5 hours to Folkestone and scrambling to find a place that would serve me, I was lucky to get a seat here!! The team here were very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant manager even gave me some complimentary olives and bread because he knew I was hungry. The food was amazing, I couldn’t finish it all as it was a big portion so saved the rest for lunch the next time. Thank you so much!!! I will definitely be returning

Great service. Great food and some lovely views if you sit outside. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We choose this venue for family celebrations. Easy to get too as very close too Folkestone bus station. Very close to the leas and harbour for a nice walk and views. The food is absolutely lovely , very generous portions too.

I had fish with Raki, next time I’ll try their Kebabs. Everything was perfect

Had family down to stay for the weekend. Fabulous food which everyone enjoyed. One person even said they liked it so much it would be worth the two hour drive to eat there again Brilliant service

One of the waiters was soo nice I'd come again .. if not for him I probably wouldn't .. food was okay but ambience was not very cozy as it was to light to crowded and to noisy .. and my chairs armrest was broken yet they didn't offer a new when one got available .. only told me how funny the story was about it breaking but not done anything in days to replace it ..

During my recent visit to this restaurant in Folkestone, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food and the professionalism of their services. I highly recommend not missing out on this dining experience.

I happened on this resto in a parade of shops. Blisteringly hot day and there could be no better refuge. Charming maitre d who didn't mind a sole launcher. I chose the mixed kebab which was served with rice, wheat and a terrific salad. The resto gives you it's with tzatziki. Actually for what it is faultless with food and service. Despite bring full there was no rush to turf me away. Of course I'll return but will need someone to share the food with.

Poor service tonight, had to wait 45 mins for food to arrive, no peppers or tomatoes with the mix grill. Chicken wings slightly pink which I don’t like. No one asking if we wanted more drinks during our visit. All very disappointing.

Sehr gutes Essen. War eine schöne Abwechslung als Deutscher mal wieder was anderes zu essen. Fast zu große Portionen die sehr köstlich zubereitet sind. Schade das es in Deutschland nicht so türkische Gaststätten gibt.

We have been visiting this restaurant once or twice a year during our trips across the Channel for many years in the past, and I'm pleased to say it's still excellent. Large portions of really well prepared and tasty food, lovely friendly staff. I look forward to our next visit.
