What a good place to take a break !

Took a chance and booked a table midweek with intention of seeing a show at the Leas Cliff Hall. Really impressed, friendly welcoming staff, good value and delicious food. Quick service too. Will definitely visit again.

Meal here with 20 friends and family for my son's pre wedding meal. Great food and service. Food was excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Cocktail menu very comprehensive and delicious

Popped in for a drink after a bandstand gig, what a fantastic afternoon, great service, excellent choice of cocktails, I had a Guinness, we were all very mellow when we left. Super staff, really hard working, I highly recommend this bar.

Guest at hotel. Went in at 6pm (when they open). After being ignored at the door by the blonde female staff member and having other people arrive after us and be ushered to a table, she finally acknowledged us and asked "are you right there?" In a somewhat brutish tone. Asked if we could get a table for 2, she looks around the mostly empty dining room and just says "no, not really" - no one else seemed to be eating. Walked out and had a great meal down the road. Sadly, this is the kind of service I've come to expect from Radisson managed hotels!

Came for Sunday lunch friendly staff nice cocktails and food

I ate a pizza (tasted okay), and my dad a fish (didn't like it) - the next day, he was really sick. It was the day we would go home and he was the only driver here. I think the fish was spoiled. Overall, a quite bad restaurant. It's affordable, you can go there, but maybe consider avoiding fish or seafood.

We wanted to eat, but were still turned away by the staff when there were plenty of empty tables, with the reason: everything was reserved. Very unfriendly treatment

It was ok, nothing special. Basic fish & chips meal, fish was overcooked, and had no flavour. Attentive friendly staff, great location, reasonable pricing.

This is a beautiful place to go with friends and family to have a really good evening

Went there with about 10 others for an afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and attentive, not at all pushy. Atmosphere was nice and the food was good. Three tier racks of sandwiches, scones and cakes were served. One for every two guests. Food was very nice apart from the chocolate fudge cake was not 100% but still nice. Parking outside is a bit restricted with most surrounding roads being permit only. You can park outside and pay. Cost £5 for 2.5hrs. Or within 10-15 minutes walk there are local car parks. Some of our party said it was expensive at £20 per head but for a one off, birthday type treat I think that was ok. Would certainly recommend it and would consider going back again.

Excellent food and wonderful staff!!!

A wonderful place to arrive after a long journey for us. It is beautifully located by the sea with very nice access to the beach. The rooms were large and nice with a view of the sea. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast...there was a large selection between English and international breakfasts. There are parking spaces right in front of the house, which is very good

Very disappointing. We wanted to book a high tea for tree persons and bring the cat in a basket. We are travelling with cat and it isnt okay to leave him in the car. I would never expect that to be a problem in a hotel that claims you can book a doggy afternoon tea. So I tried to book a doggy afternoon tea for the cat but then they said they need at least 24h for doggy stuff so i said i am prepared to pay for the cat anyway with or without treats but then they said they have limited spaces for dogs and the moment i wanted to ask whether there were spaces she said and cats aren’t allowed anyway…. So super PET UNFRIENDLY and bad economic instincts. We wanted to pay to be able to bring the cat with us in a basket.. she will not leave it so will be causing considerable less mess or noice etc than a dog!

Food amazing, view good. They don't like accepting their own vouchers. So don't bother using them, you'll get the cold shoulder and poor service. Blonde waitress is lovely though

Ideal for a stopover before taking the Eurostar again. The rooms are clean and nice in this Victorian style building, the proximity to the sea is a plus. Be careful, the surcharge for dogs is exorbitant: £25.

The scenario - I'm sitting in an empty restaurant and asked the waitress behind the bar if I could place an order for food for myself and one other. I was then asked I had to place my order at the bar! Bear in mind it was an empty restaurant and she was literally 2-3 feet away, along with her co-worker!! On top of that I was then asked to pay for the food before even receiving it! I'm sorry but 2 strikes and you're out in my book, I don't care how good the food or view is!

It’s not bad. Food was average at best, but the service was excellent and we had plenty of room. A new chef & this place could be great.

Lovely location on the cliff edge looking out over the sea, food was excellent and the service faultless. Was very quiet as it was a weekday afternoon. Would recommend a visit.

I can't comment on the food at this stage as we had drinks only on the terrace after a good walk. We were temped by the delicious sounding cocktails but did not have them on this occasion, however will be going back during the week to happy hour when we can get 2 x cocktails for £14. We know from previous visits that they are good

Great for a cocktail or a meal before a show at the Leas Cliff Hall. The seafood linguine is really moreish and their burgers are also a good choice.

This was our first visit here even though we're locals living in Folkestone. A lovely place to eat, food is out of this world (trying the Muscles is a must!), the staff are 'polite & professional'. An overall pleasing experience. Down side. Parking is a problem (or expensive) and be prepared for a lot of glass windows ! I am Deaf & my Companion is hard of hearing. Seated at a table for two OPPOSITE these windows meant every waiter or waitress who approached our table was thrown into shadow which meant I found myself completely excluded as it was impossible to lipread them. Will we visit the venue again? Yes! If we do not sit 'opposite' any windows.

Seats by the wi ndow with spectacular views of the sea. Limited vegetarian options on the menu but what I had wad fine. Good bar service. Friendly and efficient. I would go back to this hotel if I visited folkestone again.

We were looked after splendidly by the Team for our Winter Warmer Sunday lunch today.Thanks so much. Nothing too much trouble. Very easy to deal with from start to finish. Our 2nd group meal. Food was excellent, great feedback. We will be back without a doubt. Even did a doggy bag for someone who couldn’t make it at the last minute.

Honestly this place was not good at all. The bartender was unfriendly and rude from the moment we walked in. The food tasted like it was straight out of a frozen bag from Aldi and it was very expensive, similar to London prices. Avoid

Stayed here for an overnight stay. Manager and staff are so friendly and helpful! They work extremely hard to make everyone feel welcome! Will certainly stay here again!

We went here for drinks after a show on 11 November and were staying in a neighbouring hotel. The place looks like it is falling down - the ceiling is in a right state, sticky tables, seats seem to be the cheapest ones they could find. The barman was downright rude, made it obvious they wanted to close and the drinks took forever to make. Told us they didn’t do cocktails. AVOID!!!

Breakfast was so dull, but dinner pub style was good. The Prawn Linguini generous and enjoyed. Service was excellent.

We come to this place regularly and our experience is always positive.Staff are always kind and the atmosphere is very friendly .Recently I tried the Decadent Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry sorbet and it was absolutely delicious.

We live in Folkestone and have liked this place since it opened. We've eaten here several times recently and it's still good - nice surroundings, good food and friendly staff. Great views and cocktails too!

Location is nice, can't fault it in the evening. Service is meh due to, you need to order at the bar. Food is ok, nothing special. Some pubs do better food, lets put it this way. Overall; 3/5

It's started to feel like quite a trendy place to hang out in Folkestone! Ok, maybe the decor is trying a bit too hard, but it's nice to feel sparkly sometimes isn't it?! Great range of cocktails, well-prepared by lots of helpful staff and some nice bar snacks choices.

Customer services in this bar/restaurent was the best I have experienced in a long while. We were looking for something to eat (one us had a dog so we were looking for dog friendly bars /restaurents ) early Sunday evening near the Leas in Folkestone, harder than you may think. After looking for a good while we walked in the Cliffe Hotel where the dog walker was staying and asked if it was possible to have something to eat? It wasn't possible in the bar/resturant area however the manager on duty the evening of 30th April thought quickly and laterally set us up in a corner of the big lobby area which was fine. Food and wine was bought to us from the restaurent which was across the hallway. We had a very enjoyable few hours and wanted to acknowledge a happy positive "yes we can" verses a "sorry we can't" restaurant manager. A big thank-you to the Sunday afternoon/night restaurent team at the hotel.

I visited the cliffe for the first time with my work colleagues for our Xmas night out. We had meals from the Xmas menu. The meals are on the small side but very nice. I enjoyed a cocktail which was yummy 😋 (tiramusu). The ambience was very nice and staff friendly,it was great being able to catch up and have a laugh. A clean lounge and I would definitely visit again. Feel it could be a bit cheaper though.

A large group of us (50 ) were booked for 3 course lunch on Sunday …..weather was great , food was good and plentiful and service was outstanding . We will certainly return .

Excellent lunchtime menu. The food was delicious! We ordered fish and chips, beef burger and a prawn cocktail sandwich. Each dish was cooked to perfection and the sandwich was lovely. The service was also excellent. We will definitely return!

We had a gorgeous prawn sandwich made with lovely fresh bread, with a huge portion of chips on the side. Lovely sunny room. Restful. This was our first visit, but won’t be our last.

Came here for a family meal. Atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. Only negitive was the childrens meals were not a good standard. Could improve childrens menu. The rest of the menu was nice and arrived quickly.

We prefer to eat at lunchtime, rather than in the evening, and the Cliffe offers its Christmas meals at this time as too, which suits us well. That there were few other diners at the time was, frankly, their loss, because the service was exemplary, as was the food itself. Four of us ate exceptionally well and enjoyed a bottle of New Zealand Sauvingon Blanc in perfect surroundings. Not to be missed.

Large family gathering. Staff and service fantastic. Helpful and attentive at all times. Only downside was chicken burger not grilled enough so seemed slimly. Overall though well done and we'll worth a visit.

We had a great Christmas party there last night. The staff was really friendly, we loved the food and they make great cocktails. The only thing was a bit uncomfortable is the tight spaces in some areas. Great for a few people though!
