The best restaurants in South East

Just had a roast dinner recommended by the bar staff, was not disappointed, absolutely lovely, highly recommend roast beef and OMG the gravy. Portion are huge, two meals and two drinks under £30

beautiful old pub, very clean and tastefully decorated. Service was excellent. Ordered camembert to share for starter, followed by the chicken, ham and leek pie for my wife. This is served with mash, veg and gravy, but she swapped the mash for chips. I had the beef ragu. We finished with lemon posset for me and sticky toffee pudding for her. Couldn't find a single fault in in anything. The food was just delicious! My wife could have happily eaten a massive portion of the chips and gravy. The food plus drinks came in at £80, which for the quality was very reasonable. Dave and Caroline, the owners, were lovely and very friendly. Would highly recommend The Plough and plan to return soon!

Stayed overnight and had breakfast the following morning. The room was comfortable and warm. The breakfast was excellent.

Based on reviews we had fish and chips from here and it was stunning. Properly done chips, gorgeous fresh fish done with a delicious light and crispy batter, and believe me when I say that I'm really fussy, so it must be good! And on top of that a group of happy and helpful staff, well done.

Fast becoming my favourite coffee shop in Chesham. The staff are friendly and attentive, the environment I'd describe as urban chic . ..Oh, and the coffee? Divine.

Outstandingly good food. Have now been approaching a dozen times and every single meal has been brilliant. SO good. Best Indian food I have had anywhere in the UK.

Dec 24: Update! My previous experience was so positive that I organised a post Xmas get together with family -- nineteen of us were accommodated in a cosy section of the pub, complete with roaring log burner. Food was excellent, service with a smile and good value. Thank you to the team, we'll find an excuse to visit again! Oct 24: Simply too good! Accommodated some motorcyclists without having a reservation. Lovely place, courteous and attentive service, prompt turnaround of food and excellent quality with reasonable prices.
