The best restaurants in South East

We have been a regular customer of Tikka Nation ever since it opened after Covid. The food is always good quality and always enjoyed. The live kitchen is right in the front and hygienic. I would ignore the comments by people like Eric Sebastian as I think people like them always look for money back excuses and destroy honest local businesses.

Food was excellent, brilliant atmosphere and VERY welcoming staff. It was the first time I have tried this type of food and my wife and I celebrated our 18th Wedding Anniversary there and were offered a glass of Prosecco each. They made this evening special for us.

A really enjoyable evening. Food was excellent, I had the lamb shank and it was really good.

Very good food- ok service - atmosphere is good until service starts talking about religion it is not necessarily. However kebab and salads was yummy 😋 good jobs i will be back soon

Cold, overcooked dry meat, and picked pepper that wasn't advertised. Yuk!! Avoid at all cost.

If you like real ale and small quaint drinking place this is good.

More than a cafe; it's a community hub. Often live music in the evenings and fabulous food and coffee during the day. It's my favourite place to have a working-lunch or with my wife. Also dog friendly which is a huge bonus.

Used to be one of Brighton's best donut but ownership has changed and the quality has dropped massively while the price has increased. :(

If you’re considering the pilgrims rest as a venue for your big day….DO IT! Do not hesitate!! It is honestly the most beautiful and special place, it just has the wow factor as soon as you step inside the gorgeous big wooden front door! It took our breath away and we booked at first sight! First venue we visited too and I am so glad we did! We opted for an Apres Ski themed winter wedding and it was spot on!!! The decor they have in there was beyond perfect and beautiful! Amy & Waverley are just saints! They couldn’t have been any better, the whole wedding party was raving about how hard they worked and always with a smile on their faces! Amy was my main point of contact and she was a star throughout the whole process! Answering my millions of questions and giving very helpful guidance on absolutely anything we needed! She literally made the whole process so less stressful and a lot of fun! We are so so glad we chose the pilgrims rest! Our guests said it was the most amazing day and they adored the venue! Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Juicy, flavoursome and definitely didn’t go hungry afterwards. I asked to try the onion soup as I’ve always been a put off by it ….. I will 100% be ordering this the next time. Delicious!! Hats off to the chef!
