I had such a fantastic experience at Tikka Nation in Dorking that I felt compelled to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting – a perfect blend of modern, vibrant decor with the cozy comfort of a local favorite. What really made the visit stand out was the personal touch from the manager, Nikhil Mehrotra. He was incredibly welcoming and genuinely passionate about the food and the concept behind Tikka Nation. It’s not every day you come across a place where the manager takes the time to ensure every guest feels valued and looked after. The menu itself is refreshingly unique – a creative take on Indian street food, with bold, authentic flavors and thoughtful options for all dietary preferences. Everything I tried was full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. You can tell there’s real care and craft behind every dish. It’s also worth mentioning how clean and well-kept the place is, with a relaxed vibe that makes it equally great for a quick bite or a more laid-back meal with friends. Tikka Nation has definitely raised the bar for Indian dining in the area. I’ll absolutely be returning – and recommending it to anyone looking for something both delicious and differen

Came here for a quick dinner before working in the evening. Food was delicious (I had the chicken tikka naan wrap and paneer loaded fries) also very reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming and definitely made me want to come back. Good choice of vegetarian food as well as meat options so everyone is catered for!

We're just tourists here. The food was delicious, and well balanced for health. Especially I loved the lettuce salad with curry! Service was very nice and kind as well. They deffo deserve 5 stars

What a great place to have on Dorking’s High Street. The food and service from Nikhil and his team is always the best. There’s a great lunchtime offer and you always know that your food is made to order so it’s always fresh and hot.

Misleading customers to believe it is freshly cooked food. Food is not freshly cooked, this cafe does not have a kitchen to prepare fresh meals. All food is preheated and reheated from a freezer using an industrial microwave, which may cause harm to health, specifically when all food is stored in plastics. The image is an example of a meal reheated from frozen container, in comparison to a freshly cooked rice and tikka dish, the rice tasted like plastic and meat was too oily and over cooked, looked like a vomit on a plate. Moreover, prehreheating and reheating oily cooked and frozen meat may be factor of causing cancer, and food poisoning. The cafe had rats infestation.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at tikka nation and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of traditional Indian decor and modern touches. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was, without a doubt, the highlight. We started with a selection of appetizers, including crispy samosas and flavorful paneer tikka. For the main course, the butter chicken was rich and creamy, while the lamb curry was tender and full of depth. The naan was freshly baked and perfectly complemented the dishes. The biryani was fragrant, and the side of dal was comforting and well-seasoned. Portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was fair for the quality of the food. I’ll definitely be returning for more delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Pure freezer food, the rations after the Great War were probably more filling than any meal served here, the customer service was terrible, the food was cold when I eventually got it and honestly the whole experience was shocking, unfortunately it doesn’t go down to half a star and that’s at a push AVOID!

gajar ka halwa surely amazing … i think they used chicken curry oil. bad smell of curry in desert.. don’t go for it ..they are using tortila wrap instead of roti and charging too much for single tortila..

Really enjoyed my experience in Tikka Nation, the food was delicious and at very good prices, have selection of £5 weekday meals to choose from. Good variety for veggies and vegans too. Only put 3/5 for atmosphere because we were the only ones in there (was a Wednesday evening so to be expected), maybe having some music playing would make it a bit nicer atmosphere wise, still thoroughly enjoyed myself though!

First of all this could have been a bad day in the office or just a one off. But I was highly recommended to visit this place while I was in the area. I’ll get straight to it, the food - The gunpowder and masala fries was a hit I can’t fault them nice flavouring and the kick to them was real. Solid 10/10 The poppadoms and condiments was okay you can’t really go wrong with this. The main dish the tikka masala and naan bread, really was a let down the naan bread wasn’t cooked in a tandoor it wasn’t light or fluffy it was flat like a chappati and uncooked and greasy. Very odd naan The curry dish felt like it was heated up and some of the chicken felt like it was pre cooked and added, was heavy on greasy and very runny. Felt more like a Wetherspoons curry dish than anything. I think there biggest market is the Indian street food stuff like loaded fries and wraps.

Stopped here after a few drinks in town. Food was extremely tasty and service was very friendly.

Went to Tikka Nation with friends on Friday. There was 4 of us and we stayed beyond closing time as we had trouble finding a taxi for friends to get back to Salfords. The owner was so good, not once did he ask us to leave and tried hard to also arrange a taxi. This was after having some lovely food too. Really like this place and would recommend to others too.

What a gem of a place. We stumbled upon this restaurant one friday evening and were so impressed. Authentic pakistani flavours, lovely staff and such a lovely chilled vibe. The prices were very reasonable and the lovely owner threw in some freebies too :)

I asked Tikka Nation Dorking to cater for a quiz night. They did an excellent job and everyone really liked the food.

If you're looking for delicious Indian food, this place is a gem! Their thali, chaat, and biryani are mouth-watering, and the cocktails/mocktails are a treat. Can't wait to come back!

Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here with my wife, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! The Indian food was bursting with rich flavors, and the drinks complemented our meal perfectly. Highly recommend!

Just got Deliveroo and very very disappointed. The portions delivered were really small only just filled half of the container. The rice ball dish was cold and needed reheating. Nothing looked like the photos. Such a shame, won’t be a repeat customer.

Really incredible service and kind people, the food was lacking some flavour and the tikka masala didn’t really taste like a tikka masala however the people are incredibly kind and fantastic energy and service! :)

Good North Indian food and even better service. Non veg tikka platter is our favourite. Prices are very reasonable. My wife and I are regulars whenever we drop by in Dorking. The owner and staff always take very good care of us.

Very disappointed. Food is decent but twice they have messed up a simple order. This time giving us pathetic curry portions and naan in the curry when all we asked was no salad (which they hid under the rice last time). Won't be returning as waste of time and money.

Tikka Nation catered for an event of 60 people at my place. We were super impressed with their organisation, hygiene and presentation. The scrumptious and fresh food was the highlight of the event. Both Nikhil and Namita are such amazing team…their hard work and passion is evident, every guest was served with a smile on the face. I was in Dorking yesterday to see around the places saw a lovely restaurant named Tikka Nation immediately made a mind to dine in Menu was nice , staff was wonderful I was bit confused what to order so I got the suggestions that in chaat I should try Aloo tikki chat and for the drink I ordered masala tea . Service was very quick to be honest but it was not at all what it says on the menu masala tea was with full consistency of water in it and Aloo Tikki chat was chana curry chat chick peas were floating it was no where next to Chaat. When you say chaat it has to be chat sweet and sour chutneys creamy yoghurt and a touch of chat masala. Not a chick pea curry I do understand that local preference has to there also but at the same time authenticity is necessary too . Not necessary that food has to be spicy always . Being a chef I was not expecting that's how aloo tikki chaat is made . Regards

Great value and unpretentious. Popped in while shopping in dorking. Great value curry for £9....cooked in front of me by a friendly chap.

Really enjoyed the ambience and the Dhaba chicken wrap I ordered. Finished it off with an amazing cup of Masala chai. Both the service and food were very good.

Me and my friend had an occasion to try some food here. Must say people working there were really nice and helpful. We order quiet a lot of food, dished were served quiet quickly, All the starters were delicious, mains piping hot, the only down hill was a lamb curry which I would of expect to taste bit difrent. But other than that I would recommend this place to everyone.

I ordered the chicken thali for £16 And the food was so tasteless, the dal was boiled without Tarka and the channa was just ok and the bread was grilled and hard it must be from the shop and they have just warmed it on grilled. Actually, it was like toasted bread and the chicken was so dry. I paid a bill of £27 and nothing like it. Not suggesting to anyone it is very disappointing 🙁

Amazing food and service. We had been let down when an Uber delivery failed to turn up on my wife’s birthday. The restaurant dealt with the situation very professionally. I ended up collecting the food myself and the restaurant dealt with Uber directly. And most importantly the food was absolutely delicious!

I ordered the food from this restaurant via deliveroo for the first time and they sent rotten and stale Dal Makhni in the meal. It smelled so bad that we felt like puking. This is such a bad experience to have. Also, another meal I added was with Parantha and they did not send it, and yet sent the meal with rice. The order had wrong items, and it had rotten and stale food.

Street food versus restaurant 😋. It's my first time here, and if you know me, I LOVE A GOOD CURRY. The food was great for the price point.. and I did not leave hungry. All are made fresh, and you can see the chefs at work. Quick service, small dishes..

Wow! What a discovery! To be honest we have to walked past Tikka Nation and ignored it as it looks like a cafe on the inside but this evening we were looking for a quick, no fuss meal on our way from the airport. What a surprise we had in store as the we had not expected to find ourselves in an authentic Indian restaurant with a mixture of great curry options and true Indian street food. We started with the Chaat Platter for two which was four serving options from the street food Chaat menu. We left it to the waiter to choose which options were best and we were not disappointed! In addition we also ordered the Paneer Tikka Bun which was also delicious. For the main we split the Goan chicken curry with pilau rice, a small salad and paratha. Again the curry was superb but what really stood out were the paratha! The paratha had been cooked using butter rather than oil which is common in most restaurants. They were light, very tasty and delicious without any of the oily aftertaste which is common in most Indian restaurants in the UK that we have frequented. The food is genuinely Indian and for those looking for an authentic taste the. Tikka Nation is the place to go. Whilst the decor is very basic, the welcome is genuine and friendly. All in all we had a wonderful meal for a very reasonable price and I would suggest that you overlook the basic decor and enjoy the authentic Indian street food on offer. We will definitely be going back and consider Tikka Nation to be a great find for a wonderful meal in a friendly environment!

No idea how these reviews are so high. I had the biryani which was like lamb gravy and rice. Lacked all flavour. The naan was flat and dull. The rota was basically a wholemeal wrap from Sainsbury's. Yikes.

My sister and I had lunch here during our visit to Dorking. They have quite a lot of veggie and vegan friendly options which is good to see. The food is good for the price - we found the menu to be quite cheap! The thali (£14) is a bit expensive and I personally think it was worth the price taste wise despite being quite filling. Their starters and chaats on the other hand are really nice and quite cheap. The only thing that i really did not like was that we were given dirty glasses when we came in. But the stars are very friendly and changed the glasses when I pointed this out.

My family and I had the best time here. The food was absolutely delicious (the thalis and wraps were a particular highlight) and wine from nearby Denbies was a great accompaniment. But the service was absolutely exceptional. The owner was so accommodating, knowledgeable and made us feel unbelievably welcome. I just happened to mention it was my dad's birthday and balloons and cake appeared! I can't fault this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Waited ages for the food, my partner's meal came 15 minutes after mine (food was all cold) my drink finally came when we were finished. Next day we both have food poisoning :( it could be such a nice place, what a shame

I really like going to Tikka Nation Dorking. My favourite is the Thali. They do a lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan version. I went last night with five friends and we all really enjoyed it. Each person has there own tray with lots of different dishes, rice bread and poppadom. The gentleman that ownes the business and his staff are really friendly and welcoming too. Righf on the highstreet, light bright and airy, rather than a stuffy dark restaurant. Perfect to pop in with your kids, and wheelchair accessible too.

The food was amazing, we had ordered for around 10 people and the food was ample. The chat was just perfect but the rolls were just amazing. We also had biryani which was also nice. The owner came to deliver it himself and was very professional and made some special adjustments for us. Highly recommend it.

This is quite a unique place- An Indian café/restaurant with a good selection of meals, with a European twist. We chose Afghan chicken tortilla wraps. They were delicious ! The staff were very attentive, and thoughtfully gave us a jug of water on our arrival, and they were happy to provide extra sauce. Somewhere you can visit for a light lunch or a 3 course dinner.

Best Indian food in Dorking, and probably some of the best value in the UK! Fantastic mix of curries (which you'd expect to find), and some Indian street food like Chaat and Pani Puri. The Masala Fries themselves are the best chips in Dorking. The team is super friendly, accommodating for large groups, and those with allergies. It is also wheelchair accessible. I go back whenever I can!

Ordered for our Staff Christmas Meal, the food tasted amazing, especially the chilly chicken which I believe is new on the menu. Tikka Nation went above qnd beyond, so that we had the best Christmas dinner.

Great little restaurant with fab tasting original menu.

The food was pretty average. The tikka tasted basically of tomato puree and the rice was overdone. The naan were heavy, not leavened at all and the paratha was crispy and not like I would have expected. What really let the place down was the service. For a very small place (less than 20 covers) they took over an hour to serve starters and even then not all at the same time.

Ok for a quick nibble. But would go back...not special but reasonably priced and good. Service was ok.
