Without doubt the best kebab house I've been to. Food amazing, staff amazing, and well worth the money.

best burger in alton tried last week, really enjoyed it

To anyone that gives this store a bad review is speaking out of their bum. Me and my partner come to Murats and have been for about a year now. We travel 20 miles to get food from there. Every single time it’s been perfect ! They do take card payments however due to poor service in the area with Wi-Fi sometimes they are unable to accept card payments. Not by choice by force. Everyone in the store is so welcoming and very friendly! Lovely people to speak too and have always interacted with my son. I will continue to come to Murats no matter where I live. I am originally from London so know exactly what a good or bad kebab looks and tastes like. The same people complaining are the ones that would go to a pizza shop that sells fried chicken, pizza, Indian food and kebab and say they’re the best because they’re used to bad meat so when they have something good it’s a negative review. MURAT’s is BY FAR THE BEST KEBAB SHOP! Especially in Hampshire !

Firstly I’d like to mention that the service was wonderful. The owners and staff are really friendly and polite. I had the chicken doner wrap with salad and it was tasty 😋. I recommend ordering chips on the side as they are super delicious.

Murats is the best takeaway in town, good kebabs, burgers, wraps and more. Proper chilli sauce, no store bottles or siracha here! Always service with a smile and a bit of banter, everyone in the shops treats their customers well, a real friendly atmosphere. Now leaving Alton and will definitely miss this shop!

The food here is great, next level wraps,great kebabs and they are really good with kids. The one BIG problem is they don't take cards, they are cash only which a total pain,having to find a working ATM then go find a parking place, who uses cash these days? Other than that Murat's is great.

Always great food served here. My kids love it too. Staff are so friendly and food is hot. I take cash there though as sometimes the card reader isn't working but I don't mind using cash.

We have enjoyed meals from Murat's traditional kebab takeaway for over two decades. Meals are freshly prepared with plenty to choose from snacks to full meals, salads, cakes and soft drinks. Our favourite add ons are the calamari and hummas with extra pitta. There is a public car park adjacent on Church Street. I've been coming to Murat's for almost 18 years, which must say something the excellent food and service he provides. The kebabs, burgers, chicken, chips, baklava and everything else on the menu is exactly as it should be - I've never eaten here anything that wasn't spot on. Murat and "Luigi" are always welcoming, upbeat and happy to chat - you can tell they love their work and their customers. I'm looking forward to coming here for at least another 18 years All the meat served here is halal (I checked the supplier 😁)

Always delicious food at good prices . Maurat , his lovely wife and staff work hard and have built a great reputation . We have eaten every kebab on the menu and they are all great . But we have our favourites which is lamb and chicken doner kebabs . Chilli sauce is home made, not bought in . Salads are always fresh . The business has been in Alton for 30+ years , that says something about the food , And the service . Can’t imagine Alton without this now !

Murat and his team are an institution in Alton. They work stupidly hard hours and make great food. The kebabs are delicious, but for me it’s always the 1/2 lb Doner burger. The patties are great and the whole thing just works perfectly together.

Murat’s is hands down have the best Kebabs and burgers. I have been a very happy and loyal customer for decades. Prices are fair and reasonable the food is always good quality and cooked properly.
