Chinwags in East Hampshire

After an initial hic-up with our food staff couldn't have been more attentive and caring and I feel went the extra mile to resurrect this and I fully recommend the Biscoff cake! We will certainly be coming back here

After seeing one of Lauren’s celebration cakes on their social media, we reached out to see if she would be willing to make our wedding cake and accompanying blondie/brownie selection. Lauren has a wonderful selection of flavours, including catering for those with special dietry requirements. Lauren was a joy to deal with throughout the whole process and the finished product was event better than I could have imagined! For how many brownies and blondies we ordered, there were barely any left after the day but the few we had were thoroughly enjoyed on our minimoon! What’s even better is that if we ever want to re-live our special day, we can just nip down to Chinwags to grab a couple of their super yummy brownies! Thank you so much, Lauren!

Chinwags catered for our course lunches for two days last week, and did an amazing job . Service with a smile from beginning to end and the food was delicious ; several of our delegates commented on what a great pastry chef Chinwags had :) . Absolutely delicious food with amazing service. I had a series of business meetings and they delivered fresh food everyday and set up for us. Very friendly staff. We had a great selection of sandwiches and the sausage rolls were delivered warm - fresh from the oven!! The cakes were some of the best I've had. All my clients complimented. Highly recommend these. Very reasonably priced too.

My favourite spot for lunch in Petersfield! The Chicken, Bacon and Spring Onion baguette is a banger!

We ate a chicken, bacon and BBQ sausage baguette, and a bacon, double fried egg and cheese baguette. We shared half of each one. Both were overflowing with filling and were very tasty. Great value at £6 each baguette.

Great selection of homemade sandwiches and snacks.

Fell upon this cafe by accident and decided to give it a try. Initially there was no one around (we saw another couple walk away) but a member of staff appeared after a few minutes. The food looked good and the range of things on offer was varied but my wife’s cappuccino was really more of a flat white (it wasn’t a one off as another lady ended up with something similar). It looks like an established business with great potential but they need to pay attention to the service.

Visited town while on a pet sit with a JRT and a lab in Stedham. Nice well-filled salt beef sandwich. Friendly service.

Literally the best sandwich (chicken with crispy salad) I have ever had - and I have had many!! I also had the Biscoff cake, really generous slice size and tasted like heaven. Already looking forward to going back!

I've been eating out of the food delivery van for the last 3-4 months and now they have been given a 1 star food hygiene rating. Latest review!!!! Wouldn't tell me what for? Will not be seeing you again.

Ordered the sandwich buffet for our team meeting. It was excellent, very well received by all the staff. Good variety of sandwiches and cakes, plus quality juice and crisps. Good value for money, would definitely recommend and use them again.

I must admit that when I found out the previous owners were leaving, my heart sank a little. Would the next owners be able to provide such a good range of sandwiches and baguettes? Would they be crammed with fillings till no more would fit? Would I have to find somewhere else to get my lunch on a Friday? Would I have to go to buy a subway baguette from the petrol station up the road? So I looked at the new owners with some scepticism. But not for long. The first baguette was made by a grumpy looking girl and it was nowhere near as full as it used to be. Hmmm, I thought. But I went back again and it was a different story. Served by lovely staff and a full to the brim salmon and egg mayo baguette just the way it should be. And that's the way it stayed. So I am very happy. Well done to the 3 of you I see on a Friday afternoon. You are a credit to the Folly Market and Petersfield shops. Thank you. Great selection of sandwich fillings. Perfect for lunch. As sandwiches are freshly prepared it can sometimes take a while as gets busy. You can sit in or take away.

Fantastic value for money food, so fresh and well presented. The staff are so helpful. I have used them for years, since I was introduced by my eldest daughter. Will continue using them whenever I am in the vicinity.

Great little place lovely staff

Lovely little sandwich bar in the centre of Petersfield. Very picturesque and sweet location and the range of sandwiches and baguettes available is jaw dropping. Great selection of vegetarian options as well as fish and meat fillings. You can takeaway or eat in in the cute little covered courtyard outside the shop. Prices are reasonable for the quantity they serve and service is fast and courteous. I will certainly be returning.

Busy sandwich shop in Folly Market with an extensive range of options including veggie and vegan. Service was quick and the prices competitive. Most of the food served was as a takeaway however there are tables and chairs if required. Folly Market has disabled access.

Always excellent ... We often drive 8 miles to Petersfield simply to get lunch at Chinwags. Very friendly too!

Walking through we saw two guys eating massive Bacon Baguettes. We looked around and there was this very small counter with the sign "CHINWAGS" displayed right above it.. Whilst looking at the very extensive menu, a voice asked, Can I help you? Well, I ordered a Bacon Baguette and my friend had a Cumberland Sausage Baguette with a tin of Diet coke to wash it all down with. I can say, with hand on heart, I have never ever tasted such a lovely Bacon Baguette before. Total cost of: Bacon Baguette - Cumberland Sausage Baguette and a tin of Diet coke was £6.80. So, not only was the food above excellent, the prices were very good. I hope Chinwags will stay trading for many years, they certainly deserve too.
