Absolutely the most delicious curry ever!!!

We ate in and the food was really good. Look past the fact that it is basically three tables and doesn't have much atmosphere. It was worth it!

I live two hours away, but visit my elderly parents often. They like a curry, but not too spicy. The staff and management here are so helpful, patient and understanding. They took time to accommodate my requests, which were not demanding, but were taking time on my telephone order for all three of us. I asked if they could deliver at 8pm, I ordered at 7.30pm. The food arrived, bang on time, piping hot. Absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Thank you to all the team 👍😊. I highly recommend this tucked away gem of a place. First review :- I had a takeaway from here very recently whilst visiting my parents. The service and food is superb, we thoroughly enjoyed our Ghurka curries, I had monkfish and my Father had chicken. Everything freshly cooked, swiftly and with pleasant service. Highly recommend.

I ordered take away and the food was ready in 25 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines, and I am really picky. This was truly yummy food - good quality, seasoning and value.

What an amazing meal! We tried some dishes we hadn’t had before and weren’t disappointed. Definitely a go to meal. Especially when we are impressing guests!

Just moved to area. Alton Gurkha Recommended. First meal Last night. AMAZING. This is a World away from most London restaurants ive been to. First off the Food is just so tasty..full of fresh spices and herbs. Not too oily ,vegetables were fulsome and perfectly cooked. All dishes were of the highest quality. Second , Quantity: Well.. I had a Lamb dish and i do believe i must have had close to half a leg of Lamb!! Perfectly cooked no fat or gristle really quite incredible. The Mushroom Rice was full of good sized chunks of mushroom. And delicious. The servings were large portions and just so tasty. A revelation and one my Family and I will regularly return to. I regularly order from this restaurant as the food is absolutely amazing lots of traditional flavours and spice .the staff are always very friendly I would definitely recommend any who loves a traditional curry cuisine with lots of flavour

Starter was ok, curry was mainly onions a green peppers in a watery sauce. The few bits of chicken were ok. Mushroom rice was ok and keema nan was ok. All in all, not great for £30

Web site isnt the best offering and their e-commerce plugin doesn't offer PayPal and utilises nochex which doesn't inspire confidence with it's outdated look resembling that of a scam portal. The ordering portal says you will get an email to confirm your order which did not happen. We had to phone the restaurant to confirm the order had even been received and it took 5 attempts of ring no reply followed by BT standard voicemail before we spoke to someone. Unfortunately that didn't help due to language barrier difficulties but we were able to ascertain the order had been received. After waiting an hour out food arrived, the delivery person asked for the correct amount and we paid and done was done. On unpacking the food a different order had been handed to us and some poor just eat customer was probably unhappy as we had their order.... Another very difficult phone call later and being asked if we wanted to keep the food delivered instead we are sat waiting for the actual food we have ordered and I suspect so is the person who's food we actually have and by the time they get it, it will be stone cold. By the time we get what we ordered I suspect this will go down to "lesson learnt", if it looks unprofessional at the outset, go with first impressions and move on to something that doesn't... UPDATE: we eventually got our meal delivered, which is stone cold and clearly the original order that has been half way around Hampshire in the foot well of a car ....

I was not happy they messed up our order. Went down to collect the order missing and waited over 20 mins. To then be given the same as what we already had. By the time I got to eat my meal it was stone cold

My first time trying this restaurant and I will certainly be doing so again! I ordered quite a few dishes and every single one was of really excellent quality. Absolutely delicious food and delivered piping hot. Superb! Well done! I look forward to my next takeaway.

Normally your deliveries are early, on this occasion was about 20 mins late. Not a problem though, food was great as usual.

Fantastic authentic food and friendly service! Very basic internal decoration, bit of a freshen up needed and background music would be nice! But overall could not fault the food, absolutely delicious!

Food was very good, delivery man smiley and polite, hopefully will arrive a lot sooner if ordered again.

Full disclosure - the rice was missing but refunded with a few clicks on the app. That said - we had the garlic chili chicken which was FANTASTIC. One of the best I've had. the food arrived very quickly, piping hot & tasted great. Would definitely recommend

We had two biryanis, onion bhajis and peshwari naan. Taste and quality were great, one star off because the biryanis were a bit too oily, but still delicious, of course.

The paneer made at this restaurant is amazing, highly recommend!

Very vibrant red passanda and the harati (?) was very tasty. Raita not amazing and samosas needed some sauce, rice and naan tasty. Good portions for the prices.

Was fantastic when it was Alton Balti Tandoori so I was initially nervous I had lost a good Restaurant/Takeaway when it changed up its name and Menu. However they are still amazing, probably one of the best curry houses in the country.

Superb, 15 star food, these guys are consistently excellent for quality,flavour and portion size. These guys are too good, you will be hard pushed to find a better curry this side of Everest. Thanks guys, you are the best.

Food was awful and we couldn’t eat any of it. Madras was so hot my husband couldn’t eat it, and he can easily eat really hot food. My Balti was also really hot and had a horrible sour smell and taste. Really disappointed to waste almost £40 and not be able to eat anything.

The delivery was late, but the food was worth the wait. Will definitely order again.

Went tonight with my buddies, we ate in there but you have to take your own alcohol. Prawn puree starter for me which was excellent and was quite a large portion therefore it was a real struggle to eat my main which also was very good. It was a bit chilly in there mainly due to the door being opened a few times on a quite frosty evening. Can't blame them for that!

1st time trying this place after the Changeover and it was Amazing! Generously big chunks of meat and veg in the curry and the flavour was delicious. I asked for extra hot and wasn't disappointed. The Balti was always our favourite but I'm glad it's now Alton Gurkha as it's 10x better than it was. Will be back for more!

Fantastic food! We ordered chicken korma, lamb tikka masala, egg rice, vegetable noodles, garlic naan and cheese naan. Portions were extremely generous. Cheese naan was incredible! Can’t wait to order from here again.

EVERYTHING GOOD but FAR TOO MUCH ONION IN EVERYTHING. SORRY BUT WON'T BE ORDERING AGAIN.

Exceeded my expectations for timing and quality. Food was generous and great quality not to mention super-tasty.

Honestly had no taste of Nepal! The biriyani and the Khasi ko masu had way too much onion in it. It made both the dishes smell and taste the same. There was nothing that made the food special. The peshwari naan was amazing!!!! Please stop using soo much onions in dishes that it tastes bad.

I am writing this whilst eating; I felt the need to write this. Takeaways are normally hit and miss, but this was fantastic. For us this is a treat but the flavours were incredible. The Gurka Curry is amazing, the Biryani is flavoursome and the quality of the meat is generous and excellent. The only moan is that the chips were soggy - very minor as they weren't needed with everything else. Thank you, lovely meal and the delivery driver was incredibly polite - we will be ordering again.

It's a small restaurant but the staff are friendly, helpful and the food extremely well cooked. Flavoursome and from a great menu with Nepalese and traditional curry house elements, get the momo!
