The best restaurants in South East

Service and food was a 10/10. We went on a Sunday evening and were only ones in the restaurant, we sat right by window and it felt like the kitchen and staff were so far away! I think weekdays evening or Friday n Saturday night when it's busier then atmosphere would be good. Will revisit again 100%

Yet again 5 stars, from the happy delivery driver, to the last mouthful. Food absolutely superb and I can honestly say I haven't had better Indian food anywhere

A great restaurant with wonderful food. Only downside is some of the tables can be a bit of an awkward squeeze to get into. Also try the Gurkha beer it's very nice! Would definitely go again.

Great location tucked away off mkt square , great space , great atmosphere even early on in the evening had a great buzz. All staff superb , attentive and informed . We asked for a slight variation from the menu and were accommodated immediately. Food was fresh and delicious. Reasonable pricing . Really top spot will be back and will encourage others to visit . Please don’t change what you have it really hits the mark .

Having booked a show at the local theatre we researched and selected this restaurant in the main as it had a lovely menu and was walking distance to the hotel and theatre. Booked over the phone and the gentleman was lovely. We arrived and from the first moment to the last the service was great. We especially liked the chef / owner coming to each table to ask how the food and service was. The service stayed already was great and the food was lovely. Indeed my favourite bruschetta to date and I’ve been Italy a few times too. The pasta was terrific and puddings superb. Would we come back if we were in the area again absolutely. 💯

Lovely Sunday lunch. Expensive, but delicious. The booking system of having to wait outside in the cold when our booked table wasn't ready might need addressing. Once inside it was lovely though. More of a restaurant than a pub atmosphere.

Lovely fish restaurant located on Bearsted Green. Had the scallop starter, which were so sweet. Staff were attentive, friendly, and reassured us that there was no rush in making our choices.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Piwnica restaurant and I must say that it is one of the best places I have ever been to! From the moment you enter you feel at home - cozy atmosphere, elegant decor and very friendly service. The staff is extremely professional, polite and always ready to help, which made me feel comfortable immediately. Eating at Piwnica is a real feast for the senses! Every dish I ordered was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The flavors are perfectly balanced and the ingredients are of the highest quality. I especially recommend the pork chop, which was an absolute hit of today's visit - full of flavor and aroma, prepared with the utmost care! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in a unique atmosphere. I will definitely come back! Thank you 🩷

Had an amazing evening out! The food was top-notch—both the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Harissa Chicken Burger were delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were absolutely brilliant, warm and funny, really adding to the atmosphere. Speed of service was good too, and I appreciated that they checked in for a second drink and offered dessert. Can't wait to come back for more great food and the lovely team!

First time visiting for myself, my family have been here many times before. The interior has had a refresh and looks welcoming. Menus changing weekly based on seasonal produce. Really good experience and helpful/well informed servers. Really interesting dining experience having an ever changing set and tasting menu. Something for everyone. Will certainly be coming back for more!
