Marc-Pierre's Kitchen in Thanet

My wife and I had an excellent meal here for our anniversary. Locally sourced ingredients and a choice of Kentish wines was a welcome sight on the menu. I'm not usually a fish eater but took a chance on the halibut and was very happy with my choice. All three courses were thoroughly enjoyed. A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere was much appreciated and helped top the evening off. We'll almost certainly be back again when next in the area.

a review thats not needed, as this place speaks for itself. Iam not one for words, but this was hands down the best tasting and best experience with food I've ever had!!! The owner is now set in stone as my favorite chief of all time, hands down. Legend. Just wish I had time for dessert.

The food here is special, I would highly recommend anyone who visits Ramsgate to visit. The venison burger was sensational, definitely the best burger I have ever tried. 10/10 dose not do it justice. The staff are super friendly and amazing people. The view of the harbour is picturesque. Definitely a 5* experience.

Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful after our accommodation booking was cancelled. Food was excellent with really tender squid and tasty cockles. Fish main courses were very tasty and well presented.

Calamari and cockles in particular were out of this world. The staff were so friendly and helpful we felt like we were part of the family. Really impressed and will be starring this to go again.

Considering the quality and Freshness of the Fish the prices are very reasonable. Attentive but not overbearing service and an excellent Kentish Wine list. Will definitely be returning soon.

Visited this restaurant Friday the 2nd February after seeing photos and views online was very disappointed , The starters were ok We had 2 calamari and the nibbles Menu the cockles popcorn Both the dishes were bulked out with salad and not much calamari or cockles. Mains were sea bass and I had The halibut , although ok was not much fish the bulk of the meal being potato Under the fish. I have to agree with stephine H review regarding the chips very soggy and you could taste the fat they were cooked in also over seasoned With salt after the mains we couldn’t face a sweet and asked for the bill We won’t be returning.

We had 2 dogs with us and they were treated with biscuits and even some scraps of meat. Would definitely recommend and will be going back next time we are back in kent

As usual, fabulous lunch at Marc-Pierre's Kitchen, the local fish from Folkestone had not yet arrived so Marc kindly constructed an individual dish for each of us - fillet steak and sirloin steak with amazing sauces and sides. This restaurant is situated below the yacht club at Ramsgate and has lovely views across the harbour to France and around the coast to Deal pier We laughed over a recent experience at The Savoy with Gordon Ramsey's dismal offering and wondered if Gordon needed the help of a younger Marc-Pierre ! Marc always goes out of his way to accomodate different tastes/allergies etc

Can't fault the place, staff were friendly & the food was fantastic, worth every penny!!! Even came out to see if the wife's fillet steak was cooked properly, nice touch! Top Chef!!!!

Visited here for the first time after hearing a lot of good things. Didn't disapoint! Very fresh exciting menu, personaly I opted for fish Halibut as not many good fish restaurants around and it was the best fish I have ever tasted, cooked to perfection 😋 Staff are very attentive and we had a great time. Very reasonable priced for the quality of food.

Tried to kick us off of our table 20 minutes before our booking ended although asking us if we wanted dessert and another bottle of then 10 minutes before kicking us out!. An experience that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The owner was very arrogant. Never again. Came up from London for this!!! Service taken off the bill 🤬🤬🤬 Unfortunately you haven't addressed the bigger issue - the fact that we're ask to vacate our table 20 minutes before our booking was scheduled to end. Who was the 14 year old girl? The only females in the restaurant were the ones serving us. I didn't think people of that age were allowed to serve alcohol? At no time were any staff abused by my male companion. An apology from you/your restaurant would have sufficed. Instead of this response which doesn't make you appear hospitable. How disappointing. As we hardly eating out nowadays it is very important for us to have a very special time, food and service wise. We went out for a walk and dinner with our daughter as a birthday treat for her and while in Broadstairs we were thinking as to where we shall eat. Now there’s plenty of great eateries in Broadstairs but we always thinking very fondly of Marc-Pierre’s Kitchen, decided to call them in the hope of getting a table for us. Lucky they were happy to accommodate us and after a brisk walk back to Ramsgate we had fabulous time with excellent food and service and to top it, a fantastic weather and a lovely view to enjoy too. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming, really appreciated the ethos that underpins the experience and found the staff were very accommodating and polite. Relaxed ambience in an incredible setting and the food was nothing short of exquisite. Food was really good I cannot fault this the water in bottle was warm which was a shame but not an issue. We had prawns and mussels for main really well done lots of flavour. Food was brill like i say cannot fault it the only thing that let's this down is 2 things the public disagreement between staff we had the misfortune of hearing and the public uncomfortable situation with our table unfortunately our 4 became a 2 we were told by the other 2 by phone as we walked through the door to our reservation our family member had became very ill and was unable to make it not our fault or theirs things just happen in life. We were told off for not letting them know and then moved it was just an incredibly uncomfortable situation that felt a bit too on display and should have been discussed a bit more private. We felt like naughty children and was a bit uncomfortable. We was asked on way out if we enjoyed the meal we did say yes and this is the absolute truth the food is amazing We just wouldn't book this again because we felt the atmosphere and service was not for us.i have seen comments on lots of the reviews if feedback is given that does not satisfy so I was a bit unsure as to whether to leave this review I really hope that this is not negatively commented on and my comments are taken just as feedback and they can work on it in a positive way.

Not even 1 client in restaurant, I try to choose my food, somebody arrive and want some cocktails and was very fast helped with one table. . For me (one person) to eat I was advise by chef to book with 4-5 weeks in advance. Very bad treatment. Your staff asked me to look at the menu which is on the front door. If you don't have any table "for me" teach your staff how to approach a client. Thank you for answer, was more than enough for my review.

This is the best restaurant in Ramsgate by far. It's not cheap, and nor should it be for all you get. Fabulous food and attentive friendly service. Everything I have tried has been great and Marc and his staff always go the extra mile for our vegetarian daughter. It's where we go for birthdays and special events. Always a pleasure.

What a hidden gem ! After being seriously let down for a birthday meal somewhere else the night before. I called these guys. The gentleman on the phone was really lovely and accommodating. We arrived to the friendliest of faces and an open type kitchen. The restaurant is small but gorgeous! It has a really warm and personal feel to it. So much nicer than a huge restaurant with no atmosphere. To the menu...wow!!!!! Some gorgeous dishes with fresh local produce. We had the squid, padron peppers and huge king prawns in a chefs homemade spicy sauce. The flavours were incredible. Mains we had a steak which was beautiful and the lobster linguine ...absolutely full of lobster meal! It was the nicest fish dish I've had ! Pud...the chefs mums homemade keylime pie. No words ! This restaurant is just beautiful, the staff are wonderful and the food is unreal. So so glad we managed to get a table. Looking forward to our valentines meal here.

This is a professional high class restaurant with a discerning taste for supremacy for food. We loved our monkfish. It's big and chunky, a most beautiful piece, no cost on the ingredients spared. Please be mindful that the bill says no service charge included whilst it included in excess of 10% service charge.
