We came here as we'd been away from home for the day driving around the south coast. And what a lovely little place this is. Fresh delicious food,friendly staff and very clean. I would totally recommend!

Had a delivery today and the food as always is excellent. Can't fault it. However I ordered a gherkin (70p). See photo. I've never been served such a small wally in a chippy! Lol

Ramsgate Fish& Chips,a nice clean friendly establishment this one. Lovely fish and chips and all the trimmings available. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much bother. If you fancy fish and chips freshly cooked,mmm nice,then this shop is well worth a visit. Ramsgate fish and chips are as good as ever. Simply the best fish and chips available in Ramsgate. This fish and chip shop are the only chip shop that cook the chips twice making them lovely and crispy just like lovely crispy roast potatoes. Ten out of ten.

This is the best fish and chips I have every tasted, and it’s consistent I have never had a bad fish and chips from here. The fish is cooked to perfection, just slips of not all chewy and dry. Crispy Batter that’s not oily and crispy chips not soggy and oily. Basically lush!!! Also the friendliest most helpful staff. You won’t be disappointed if you get a take away from here. Thank you 🙏

The fish was excellent. I opted for the large cod, which appeared bigger than what I've seen elsewhere. The chips were decent. However, what stood out was the fact that they fried the sausage and fish separately, which is crucial for me because I cannot eat fish if they sausage fried in the same oil.

This is the best fish and chips in Thanet, but it doesn’t open on a Saturday or Sunday and I’m afraid you cannot always get through on the phone but the food is excellent

First night of our holiday in the area. Couldn't have chosen better! Cooked fresh and really crispy. Great taste and great service.

Our order got confirmed at 7:23 expected Delivery was twenty minutes. At 8:10 we phoned to enquire about the where abouts of our food only to be told that we had order twenty minutes ago (in fact it was 40 minutes) the staff member was abrupt and informed us that our delivery would be another 20 minutes then enquiried abruptly and rudely if we wanted the order or not we had no choice to except due to the time. After an hour we had still yet to receive our order. We then called the restaurant to cancel and they still tried to get us to accept the food. If you value customer service do not go here especially if you're a young person because they where rude to my daughter and her friend then when I called they where better because he was talking to a 'geezer' he properly changed his tone. The delivery driver was shocked at this quality of service however he seems very nice

Very disappointing service, to many staff just talking about them selves and not concentrating on orders. I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese and what i ended up with was just a plain burger in a bun with one slice of cheese, no salads no onion no tomatoes nothing. The worst burger i have been served. They seem to just give you a pile of hard dry chips to make your meal look bigger too. I will not be using this place again until changes are made! TIP - Maybe focus on quality rather than quantity .

Great fish and chip, we were working locally for the day and asked our customer where to go and she recommended here, and we weren't disappointed, parking a little difficult but the fish was lovely, the chips where crispy and curry sauce was lush, we took it back near where we worked and sat eating it looking out at the sea, what could be better, if I'm in the area will definitely be back

Was told this was one of best in town as we have just moved to the area. Just visited and very disappointed. Got home pie was luke warm/cold, no microwave to heat it up? Also no curry sauce I ordered in the bag. Massive disappointment. Will try others next time.

First visit to Ramsgate, we were looking for good local fish and chips for the family and this had good reviews. The actual service, quality of food and value for money exceeded our expectations. I agree with previous reviewers the batter was a bit special. We had cod, plaice, calamari and kids meals, all were fabulous.

Worst customer service, rude and unfriendly staff. From reading other reviews and responses it seems the staff aren’t used to professionalism and care more about the staff then the effect they have on the service and reputation of the shop. Illiterate responses…

Probably the best chips in Thanet. Absolutely golden and fluffy too the core. Fare sized portion too and not a bad price.

Food ok but the staff... two young girls. Bear midriff belly piercings with stones in. Nail varnish and jewelry on fingers, wrists and necks. Fairly sure food hygiene laws breached. Won't return until issues have been dealt with. Shame too you're just around the corner from me.

The Fish - you won't find a lighter crispier batter nor a more skilfully fried freshest of fish, simply delicious. The Chips - I don't know how they do it, certainly the best potato variety. Twice-fried? Maybe. Blanched before frying? Quite possibly. Whatever they do they're doing it right, crispy outside, creamy and yummy inside. Keep it up guys

Had large cod n large chips from here last night,The fish 🐟 was lovely n flakey in a nice crispy batter,chip's were ok lots of em, lots of bits in the portion,But very nice,we enjoyed it.

Put an order in, via Deliveroo, for some scampi (2 serves), chips and ice cream. Deliveroo order reference was #4481. Order confirmed at 18:28 for a 19:20 delivery. Quite a wait, but it’s a Friday night and weather not great so going to take some time. Expected delivery time comes and goes. Tried calling restaurant at 19:30, impossible to reach via phone as either engaged or rings out. Contacted Deliveroo at 19:42 and was told to wait another 20 minutes. At 20:02, still nothing. Tried calling restaurant again and contacting Deliveroo to cancel. Nothing. Gave up, cooked our own dinner. Then, just after 20:30, a delivery driver rocks up with the order! Which went straight in the bin, except for the ice cream. What a waste of time, effort and money. Now Deliveroo tells me a refund (partial or full) not possible.

The chips are nice but the customer service is going downhill. Was left waiting in the street while delivery orders were prioritised. Then the girls smirked and rudely banged my food down on the counter. Pride comes before a fall.

Very disappointed, chips were only warm the fish was more batter than fish but the most upsetting was the staff didn't wear masks, the justeat driver wasnt wearing a mask and neither was a customer. Threw the food away.

RUDE STAFF. The staff were incredibly rude multiple times we’ve been there. They spoke about myself right in front of me to each other. They’ve gotten many orders of ours wrong. Shame as the food isn’t actually bad, it’s just the staff that work there have ruined what was quite a good chip shop. I can assure you whomever works there won’t even take this into account. Please change your staff to people who are genuinely friendly and genuinely passionate about what they do because they don’t care and are ruining your business.

Went on a day trip to walk the dog in Margate beach, fancied fish and chips, googled best fish and chips in Kent and up cane this place. Ordered on phone drove there and collected from 2 lovely ladies, fish and chips was fabulous and probably the best I’ve had fir a long time. Definitely recommend. The ladies advised driving down to west cliff to eat. Great shout ladies, weather was warm and sunny, views fantastic that made the fish and chips even better. This chippie has the best chips in Thanet, crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The fish is fresh, firm and flakey with a good crispy batter. My new favourite and available for delivery with Just Eat.

Had haddock and chips last Saturday 31st October . It was the best fish and chips we have had for a long time. Fish cooked while we waited by very friendly chap.

I was in Ramsgate yesterday and wanted to have a fish and chip supper. I went to sea front and was horrified by the lack of social distancing and the number of customers inside waiting for their orders and others queuing in close proximity, all without face coverings and disregard for others! I stumbled across Ramsgate Fish and Chips, although away from the sea front, had all the recommended measures in place and served the most delicious fish and chips I have ever tasted. There was none of the usual soggy greasy chips and soggy battered fish often dished up. The batter was crisp and the chips golden and crunchy, all without a trace of excess grease! All served by charming women with a smile. Don’t hesitate to try them. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

We often eat from Ramsgate Fish and Chips, the food is always prepared quickly and to an extremely high standard. Batter cooked to perfection and Chips are like no where else. Ramsgate fish and chips is consistently great food and great service. Me and my partner are always made to feel welcome by the lovely ladies behind the counter and there is always guarenteed service with a smile. We would 100% recommend this shop to anybody who likes good food at a reasonable price. We wouldn't go anywhere else since trying their 10/10 fish and chips.

Don't go to the obvious, right-on-the-seafront chip shops. With Ramsgate Fish and Chips nbot only do you get far better value for money with decent portions, their chips are always fresh, golden, crunchy and non-greasy. They never disappoint!

They never put a foot wrong. Reliable, quick. The chips are the best I've had anywhere and the cod isn't far behind. Portions are just right for us, not too big not too small. Prices sensible. 2x Cod n Chips comes to £12. They have become our regular.

Delivery on time fish the batter was crispy and very little oil on box and chips both cooked to perfection all piping hot. I would go as far to say best I've had in my 64 years next best in Bedford opposite hospital. I do love properly cooked fish and chips. I recommend you all try them.

I have now had Fish and Chips twice this week from Ramsgate Fish and Chips. Without any doubt these were the best I have had for many years, not only is their batter perfect, dry and crisp the chips are also the same no grease at all. Try the curry sauce it is also amazing. The delivery both times was slightly over an hour but if you want piping hot food delivered to your door by friendly driver just order your food a bit earlier. Absolutly faultless.

Have used this chip shop about 5 times now. Lovely big potions. The batter on the fish is light. Chips are delicious as are the pies, sausages and saveloy. Will definitely continue using them. Staff are all friendly and polite.

just ordered from here for the first time and definitely the last, the cod wasn't the best cod I've eaten over cooked and quite stodgy, chips had a lot of black bits in them so quite off putting. In these times they need to do more to make the customer come back of which they haven't done.
