Very disappointed, we had been out all day and was hungry. The fish was appalling, no batter whatsoever, it was more like breaded than battered! Completely flat. Also the small cod looked no different than the child’s. Very expensive, you expect a decent meal. New owners…. Will not be going back

The best fish and chips I've had since the 90's. Absolutely first class amazing experience. The large cod was bigger than my new born child! Absolutely can't find that sort of quality and value these days. Really grateful places like this still know how to do it properly. Thank you.

i’m a simple child with friends going to the shop, already nervous to order by ourselves but after when my friend hadn’t finished ordering the man already walked away leaving her to order her own food at the end when everything was ready to which he replied “why won’t you order it all at once?! it’s getting cold now!” and raised his voice at us despite the atmosphere being nervous and tense already. he was working alone from what i saw so i understood him maybe being overworked but to me i don’t get why he raised his voice at us when he should have asked if that was everything for us instead of going off.

Can't fault the fish and chips. Such big portions. Only gripe is the pukka pies. The meat in the steak and kidney were just full of gravy with probably one small piece of steak and no kidney. Chicken and mushroom were very much the same. Just a tad unhappy.

They've recently increased their prices a little, but unfortunately that's not unusual recently. The quality and quantity of the food remains very good. It's a small place and strictly takeaway only as there's no room to sit and eat. The selection is exactly what you'd expect from a chip shop and nothing more than that. The couple who own it are pretty miserable and grim-faced every time I've been in there, but they're not actively rude or anything. Lots of other reviews calling them friendly, so maybe it's just me they don't like! In short, it's a great place to go if you want classic fish and chips with no fuss and no surprises, pleasant or otherwise.

When this placed 1st opened the batter was so light so crispy But now very soggy with fat you do get large portions and it's cooked fresh but sorry won't be going back

The fish and chips here are fantastic, a large cod and chips will easily feed a family of 3. The fish is cooked to perfection chip are lovely and the service very friendly.

Stopped here by chance - fancied some fish and chips and so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious as the name says! Fish was fresh and crunchy batter and chips fab. The owner was friendly. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time !

Never had a bad meal from here! Food is always lovely and staff are nice and friendly. It can get a little busy at times, but I'd rather wait for good food. Portions are huge, order a small cod and you'll get a whale. Always buy a portion of chips LESS than you think you'll need. 5 Stars

Delicious by name, delicious by nature - very generous portions to boot. Friendly staff - I always phone in my order and then collect it and this works brilliantly for me - no waiting around but freshly cooked. Highly recommend.

Bad service dirty oil used for frying staff looked unkempt. Food was greasier than professor Snape's hair. Thought I had moved country as I could not understand a word the staff used and had to repeat my order several times.would not suggest this substandard chip shop to anyone or go back again . Needs shutting down. Oh and the after effects of eating the poor food was the most unbearable stomach ache . My toilet hasn't been the same since. If I could of given no starsI would have . Overpriced and just terrible. If you want bad service spoke to in very broken English by drug addicted looking women and food cooked by a man that looks greasier than the food they serve and if you don't mind your food being pawed by hands that haven't seen soap for years this is the place for you . #donoteathere

Well the chips was nice but must say one of the worse cheeseburger I have ever had dry and chewy and very cheap meat would I. Ever go back never . Obviously they don't want people to enjoy it

Have used this shop for past couple of years. Fish is always fresh chips are good. Generous portions. We order by phone and collect avoiding queues as they are very busy. Highly recommended.

Had a busy week this week and my wife has not been well. She's not a lover of my cooking so we've had a couple of takeaways this week. I ordered over the phone on Wednesday evening, glad I did as when I got there, there was quite a queue but all I had to do was wait while it was wrapped. Lovely crisp fish and great chips too

That is what it was, a Quick Treat on the way home and I am glad we did as it lived up to it's name. A piece of cod, good chips too!

We've left it a couple of months since using here as it wasn't quite as good after it changed ownership. Tried it again last night. Ordered by phone and it was just about ready when I got there. I had haddock and my wife cod and we shared a portion of chips, there was plenty enough for two. Both fish tasted really fresh nice crispy batter, chips were great too.

This is the only chip shop I will use in Ramsgate. Fish is cooked fresh and size is huge, plenty of chips and selection of other food is impressive.

2nd time since new management, seems to have changed batter and possible cooking oil, very thick, soft and soggy, not crisp as it used to be, chips also not so good now greasy taste, will give it a miss for a while, hope the change quality back to hoe it was.

I think this place is great especially if you got lots of kids to feed they do a kids meal which is chips and a choice of sausage plain or battered and fish fingers or nuggets and a fruit shoot DRInk of your choice all for £1.75 which is worth every penny (I might add even plenty big enough for an adult) its always nice and fresh you can also phone your order so ready when you get there ( as I usually order 8/12 kids meals at a time so perfect for me ,I def give this the thumbs up for value for money

A great family run take away. Use it most weeks though I personally don't eat it because of dietary needs the rest of the four generations of my family would recommend it. Most of the food is cooked to order so it's best to phone your order if your in a hurry.

Everything you can want from a fish and chip shop in terms of fish and chips, but also quite a few things on the menu most fish and chips shops don't have. A vegetarian friend I was with said the veggie burger is very good. They had spam fritters, which I haven't seen in ages and could not resist (forgot how its like biting into grease, delicious though). Only downside is service is a little slow, they are busy and cook everything from fresh, so for good reasons, but not a place to go if you are in a rush.

Been here quite a lot over the years and the chips are great so is everything else, takes a while to cook but that's because it's freshly cooked to order, will definitely return.

Great tasting chips! Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside, very tasty and fresh. Good service, staff seem to be always happy and smiley! Didn't try anything apart from chips so cannot judge what the other food is like! Will definitely go again!

Stumbled on it one Monday evening a few years ago, fancying some fish and chips when generally most others I used which are great weren't open. In my opinion they serve one of the best I've eaten!! The batter is lite&crisp complimenting the fish, leaving no after cooking oil taste or that sometimes dull sour taste from the batter. Im not a regular, but the couple of dozen or so times I've used Delicious has been as good as the first time so far and there's not many place you can say that about......except one Minster Tandoori !! . oil

A traditional seaside town fish and chips shop. They use fresh produce that is locall sourced and you won't find a batter coating of the fish that is half as tasty here, anywhere else. They also cook their own chips which they make themselves, nothing is used from packets here, other than the tomato sauce! Perfect place to pick up your Friday fish dinner craving!
