Stopped in for some chips. Really friendly staff and the food was lovely! There's also a place to seat and eat in around the corner if you don't want to risk losing your food to a seagull. Would recommend.

It's ofishal, this Factory of Fish blew my mind. Stunning fish, delightful chips and the service by Kyle and Callum was top class. (Didn't see Keith though, he might have been shelling peas in the back.) The queues can be rough as almond milk, so I'd recommend going a bit outside peak times, but apparently the line moves quickly. Had a better experience than Young Hegelian, and I wasn't even wearing M&S leggings (I still don't get that reference). Five starfish out of five, would recommend.

Tried Southern Hoki for the first time and it was delicious, absolutely 10/10 chips too. Every single one was practically a mini roast potatoes 🥔

Honestly, this place well deserves 5 stars it's the best fish and chips in town also fresh and delicious one! Must go and enjoy fresh food.

Stayed in their seating area in the adjacent street and had a great time. The fish and chips was of great quality and the staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating.

Peters is to Fish and Chips what the Daily Mail is to news journalism. It’ll suit you well if you’re a beige middle road person with nothing about you except frizzy hair and M&S leggings. They never get the order right and there’s always something missing (which you paid for) a rude teenager and some miserable Karen customer turning their nose up at you while they get their son his din dins in her Range Rover. The fish batter is always greasy and the chips are dry and they probably won’t even put your mushy peas in the bag. Find another fish joint if I were you.

Is this the best fish and chip shop in Margate? I visited with my adult children recently on a Sunday afternoon. As usual, there was a queue, albeit a short one when we arrived. This quickly increased. Our order was taken promptly by pleasant and engaging staff. We waited a few minutes whilst most of it was cooked fresh. I have been here a few times and was completely unaware that Peter's has an indoor seated area around the corner. We were offered a code and so ate our food there. It was very warm cosy and comfortable inside Our food hit the spot. The chips were very good crispy on the outside and fluffy(ish) on the inside. The battered fish had a crunchy coating bringing back memories of childhood trips to the seaside. The nuggets were sunk quickly without comment. Generally a good sign. If, as Chas n Dave said, you're going 'down to Margate,' you could do far worse than paying Peter's for a modern-day taste of nostalgia

What a wonderful and delicious place. The food was incredible. The fish to die for, service amazing and the chips were so good. Every time I come to Margate I come here and it never disappoints. I also recommend the battered sausage. The people who work here are legends. Thank you!

This is like one of the only fish and chip shops open in Margate on a Sunday. A bit expensive for what you get.

Must admit I did enjoy my chips from here. Had the 100 yard stare from the pigeons.think they even intimidated the seagulls.

Really tasty fish and sausage with chips. Generous portions and really delicious! We sat outside on a cool winters afternoon which was refreshing and nice. They also have indoor seating around the corner.

Called here after a long journey and was greeted by two fabulous, friendly ladies who cooked fish to order and chatted to me about my journey and day. Delicious fish and chips...highly recommend.

The chips were the best chips I've ever had and I'm really fussy about chips. They were fresh, crispy. Perfect amount of salt and vinegar and Becky made the trip to Margate a stand out trip! Definitely go if get the chance!

We’ve been eating at Peter’s for years, however this afternoon was chaotic, unmanaged, unwelcoming and I gave up after 20 mins as my food didn’t arrive (despite people being served and receiving the same food before me. Unfortunately the staff looked extremely unhygienic which didn’t help. Hopefully this will turn around.

We had a meal from here tonight, and the fish was not cooked, and the chips over cooked. The batted sausage was soft and under cooked. This fish and chip shop has gone down hill, and we will never go back there again. They over charge us for a small under cooked fish. There is no Point in complaining, as they are very rude. The chips here was lush I had a large battered sausage again very Tasty with some curry sauce the sauce was really nice kinda reminded abit chinese curry style really nice enjoyed very much wish I had got another tub of curry. My mum had the battered cod and chips again very nice

Long queue, but a good quality chippy with fair prices. I occasionally get a take-away where the crust is a bit soggy, but the fish itself is always tops.

One of the best fish and chip takeaways I’ve had. The fish was so tender and fresh and crispy, meanwhile the chips were chunky, soft in the middle and had some crispyness. Mushy peas were delicious too. The prices were reasonable and I love that they are keeping the cone of chips alive and well. Great outdoor seating too! Plus the service was super quick and I added extra salt and vinegar which was on the counter as you receive the food.

Great location and good food but more expensive thank in the City of London for the fish portions you get. Outrageously small fish, think half a regular, for the price compared to my local.

I’m really sorry to say this was one of the worst cod and chips I’ve had. So much so I have literally just eaten what I could and felt compelled to leave a review. Dry fish, maybe average chips and a woolly sausage. Mushy peas where fine. There were queues as always so the fish at least should have been fresh due to turnover?.. Sorry but I won’t be back.

Delicious, the best place for fish and chips. In fact my local chip shop in Dartford sets his standard by Pete's as its award winning food is certainly memorable. Once been you can't go anyway else. Highly recommend.

Wouldn’t cook a pea fritter for us even though we’d stood in the cold que for 25 minutes. Bland food.

Very slow service. Kid serving is overwhelmed and forgetful. Waited over an hour to receive a stingy, oily portion of chips. Thinly sliced fish that was mostly batter and again oily.

Extremely thin piece of haddock and there was way too much oil on both fish and chips. Hour long queue was definitely not worth it. Young guy kept forgetting what I had ordered. Major disappointment

Arguably the best fish and chips I’ve had in my life. I would have shared a picture of the meal, but in a state of euphoria I ate everything before I took a photo. Chips and fish cake were stunning. Sausage was also world class. If there is one small gripe is that there was no discernible queueing system - simple sign of which way down the street to queue would sort. Absolutely stunning place.

Good food, BUT it would be good for them if they displayed in someway they accept card payment instead of queueing for ages to find out. YES, they do accept card payment. Someone also asked me whilst queuing when they closed.... I didn't know. They should also display their opening and closing times.

Would visit again as the food and service were great. I can't wait 🤗

I agree with all the high praise, we tried it for first time last week & I cannot remember having such good fish n chips anywhere/, ever ! If I have, it's on an equal par with the best & so cheap ! We had the special offer on the chalk blackboard outside, thought it'd be small & not terribly good for £5:95p each ! It was Amazingly delicious, crispy, fresh, ... ! My friend thinks they cook in very good quality oil or lard ? She wanted to ask them, she loved it too. Good sized portion, perfect👌 ! Next day, I wanted to go back for more ! But we had to leave Margate, would highly recommend, Mathieu, maybe you had a dud batch ?! 🤔💬 Shame you didn't enjoy the best that most others seem to, I don't know why

Okay fish but half of the items on the menu were not available which was very disappointing after waiting for over half an hour to order.

Being a regular visitor to Peters Margate over 10+ years, never once have they failed to disappoint. Having been to thousands of chip shops over the country, there hasn't quite been a place like here for food. Even with often long queues, these are worth it for the food. Staff are efficient at completing your order to the highest standard, and there is plenty of seating outside to sit at- and even more on the Main Sands across the road! I can strongly recommend the scampi and chips as well as battered sausage and chips, these are my regular go-tos and are great! Look forward to returning.

Quick review, long queue but worth it, always get the special hoki or haddock 5.95.cod n chips more 9.80. The staff brilliant, quality of food brilliant, don't bother elsewhere!, This place 5stars

Popped in for a spot of lunch and so glad i did I was served by a lad called Keaton today, what a polite young man, nothing was too much trouble. whilst stood waiting for my food to be freshly made I had a lovely chat with all the staff including the boss pete i was made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble for them with my fussy ways, as for the food the batter on my cod was lovely and crispy not soggy like some places and the chips were cooked to perfection again no soggy sloppy chips just perfect as for the pea fritter wow....not thick with batter so you can't taste the peas it was coated just like it should be, will definitely be going back and recommend to all.

I’ve had a lot of fish and chips in the past and this by far was the greasiest fish and chips I’ve eaten. The chips were soaking in oil instead of being light and fluffy inside.

Went for fish and chips with my dad last Friday evening, probably the best tasting chips in a while! Decent size portion and nice service and cooking staff, very polite travis, Matt and Kyle and two others! Will be coming again soon!!
