We come here several times a year. First time this year and for the first time ever the portion sizes have shrank drastically.

2 medium cod and 2 small chips. The portions were huge and freshly cooked. Definitely recommend this place.

Had very good medium cod and chips here. The fish was tasty, and you get a huge amount of chips. The price was very reasonable too.

This place also had grilled fish, it was super delicious, I would highly recommend this place.

Life saver, walking back to the hotel after a night out and glad we stumbled into the Fish Inn, had a chicken wrap, chicken was amazing, sauce a little odd. Overall filled the void.

Just went in for Cod & chips plus more for the family and although we always use this chippy it was the most amazing piece of cod we have ever had, cooked to perfection and the batter was just perfect. Far better than any restaurant we have used. The food however is ALWAYS GOOD but this was truly awesome. Thanks for the great service too guys keep up the good work!!

Not a local to area, but was recommended. Bare in mind I only had chips, but cannot emphasis how good they were and the portion size was very generous. Highly recommend!!!

Friendly service and freshly cooked fish and a shed load of chips. First time I've been defeated for awhile. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. And only about a mile from Minnis Bay.. Bon appetit

Been going to the Fish Inn for some time now and I have never been disappointed. Fresh food, cooked to order, super clean place with oodles of free parking in surrounding streets. The Fish Inn is situated on the corner of Lymington Rd and Canborne Ave. Try and avoid early evening on Fri and Sat unless you book your food in advance. They accept cards. No eat in Enjoy your fish supper.... We do every week !

We had fish n chips from here this evening. Couldn't fault anything. Lovely chips, Mums fish a senior citizen portion looked and tasted gorgeous and my pie was tasty too. As others have stated premises spotlessly clean and everyone very friendly . Will definitely be back for more, ty

We are staying at a local caravan park and decided to try the cod and chips and the plaice and chips based on the reviews. Well we were not disappointed. Amazing size portions, batter was perfect, hubby liked the Curry sauce too. Defo worth a visit if your local

Wow, I was told this was THE place for chips and that was an understatement. The place is immaculately clean, the staff are dressed smartly and covid safe. The woman who served me was friendly and very polite. The portions are huge, I'm a big guy but even I thought the medium chips were the large 🙂, The battered burgers were delicious and very beefy, cooked perfectly, still moist inside a lovely crisp batter. The chips were fluffy and more than plentiful. The chicken was fried beautifully, the hot wings were really good with a proper kick of heat. The gravy is meaty and thick without being too thick. The jumbo battered sausage taste just as a sausage should taste. There is a good selection on the menu and the staff often give out chips to allow customers to try the sauces while they wait. The actual cooking time is quick even though everything was cooked to order. There was a large queue of customers and after tasting the food I'm not surprised. Best food I've had in months.

Been using this fish and chip shop since it opened. Just phone and collect within ten/fifteen minutes. Always hot and well cooked. Plenty of chips, sometimes too many.Staff very polite.

We love this place food is great. We only holiday near by once a year and also get this for dinner in the week. Huge portions of chips.

This is my local chip shop. They always cook from Fresh and the staff are so polite. Prices are good and the quantity of the chips is perfect for a family without spending too much.

Amazing fish & chips. Fish was cooked extremely well as were the chips, which there were so many of we couldn't eat them all. My son even enjoyed his chicken nuggets and he is very hard to please when it comes to nuggets. All at an amazing price too. We'll definitely be going back. Thank you for the great service 😊

I grew up in Margate but live in London now. I often visit Thanet though and always enjoy going to Fish Inn to get Fish and Chips for my wife and I and also our grandchildren. The fish and chips are delicious and the guys who run the shop always make you feel welcome and that they value your custom. Such nice people they deserve to do well. Can't wait to go there again once the covid 19 restrictions on travel are lifted. P.S there was just one reviewer that said that he would not take his family anywhere near this place. The purpose of Google reviews is to say what you liked or disliked about an establishment. Just saying that you wouldn't take your family anywhere near the place tells us absolutely nothing and is a pointless statement to make. Anyway the fact that the fish and chip shop has received 5 stars from everyone says it all really about how good it is.

Definitely the best fish and chips in Westgate, I can feed my family of 2 adults and 3 children (10, 7, & 1) on one large chips obviously with fish/sausage etc! But large is large here. No half measures.

I love this fish and chip shop and that says something from one that’s worked in a chip shop over 18 years. Food is always fresh and piping hot and the shop always looks immaculate . Caters for all with a lovely option for people who don’t have/like fish, and portion size is great with reasonable prices. I always ring through my order as they can get quite busy and I’m always greeted with a lovely smile from the lads and young lady. Will always recommend these to everyone who lives in westgate.

We ordered from there tonight for the first time and it was lovely. The fish was delicious and portion size was brilliant great value for money definitely will go back there again and the service was good especially with what is going on social distancing wise really recommend the fish inn.

You’ll struggle to find a better Chippie! Fish light fluffy with perfect batter mmmm just finished mine and it was so so good. Can’t recvomend this place enough

One of the best chippys I've been too, portion sizes were ridiculously big and the batter on the fish stayed lovely and crisp...even after staying in the wrapper for 30 mins. We got a kid's meal of Fish bites and chips and no word of a lie, the fish bites were twice the size of your average fish finger, 5 in the portion and my little monster managed 3...but loved each bite. It's very fairly priced and managed to feed 4 people for £20, with enough chips left over to feed another 4. GO EAT HERE!

The the people there are a very good influence for are community. There food is incredibly amazing. It's one of my favourite shop and I'm very picky about shop . I will definitely recommend it to other people .

What can I say food is always well cooked and the staff friendly. Portions are always generous and waiting time very good even when there busy. A good variety of food to choose from their extensive menu. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fish and chip dinner or lunch

Always lovely chips from here, fish is fresh, and portion sizes are fantastic, we get 1 large chips to share between a family of 4, (2 adults and 2 under 10's) with sausages and fish.

while staying at Birchington vale holiday park just round the corner ,remembered My dad taking us here 50 yeas ago for chips , so thought id find it again all these years later so glad i did ,and will be using all the time when holidaying down at westgate ,realy friendly staff ,and the cod and chips where brst iv had in ages cooked fresh and quality was lovely good portions ,and price was realy good ,why would you go any where else .
