Wow, love this place! Came back after a year and it’s completely changed from when it was under Young’s. Now it’s full of life, with amazing wall paintings on the building and such a happy, welcoming vibe inside. The food is delicious, went on a monday and my friend and I got the 2-4-1 and had really tasty burgers with really good quality and fresh ingredients. Staff is also super kind and patient even though it was a busy night. They definitely have the best beer selection in Oxford with over 40 beers to choose from and they offer tasters. Definitely worth a visit

Fab little pub in Canterbury, came for Lunch with my daughter as we were in the mood for a pie and mash day after walking the dogs. Well, this didn’t disappoint! My goodness, best homemade food! Highly recommend the pies, I had steak and ale and my daughter had the chicken and hock both with homemade buttery creamy mash! Let’s just say, nothing was left! Onto the lovely bay manager/owners and their lovely resident dog Rocco, all just super friendly and so accomodating. Everyone should visit this pub if you want the best service and food and well, whole experience in general

We got a couple of coffees and wanted to sit on the terrace but we have been asked to leave the terrace as the barrista wanted to close the outside terrace. This has happened at 6pm bearing in mind that the store closes at 7pm. At least she could have left us sit at the table for 30 minutes and collected the other tables.

A lovely historic pub with a quirky split level interior. The food portions offer great value for money however as we dined as a large group, we were sat in the boot room and felt a little out of sight, out of mind with no offer of more drinks and slow service. Toilets are situated upstairs so a bit tricky with a toddler but otherwise very welcoming of children and great kids menu.

Visited on Sunday 19/01/25 after reading good reviews regarding the food, booked for Sunday lunch. Starters I had pate which was OK my husband had the seafood platter which is basically frozen seafood either in batter or breadcrumbs. The haddock goujons were not goujons they were 5 times the size of a fish finger. Of course the prawns and calamari were minute! Main course I ordered the lamb shank which stated it fell of the bone it done everything but. The toughest and tasteless lamb shank I have ever eaten. Stew and dumplings for my husband which was tasteless. Gravy was very watery. All in all very disappointed with the food compared to the reviews we gad read.
