Found a decent takeaway at last, I live a reasonable distance from here but my local restaurants are disappointing, this one is a cut above.

Absolutely fantastic food again tonight, I have used this takeaway numerous times over the past year and a half and can say in all honesty that I have never been disappointed with any of the food I have ordered from them. I have never until now found an Indian takeaway that is this consistent. I generally choose something from their menu that I've not tried before and am always 100% happy. Ordering over £20 and collecting gets you a 15% discount, The staff are always very polite and accommodating, I even got a call whilst on route tonight to tell me my food was ready, I was running on time and 2 minuets away. If your looking for good value and very good quality Indian food to take away in the Maidstone area, I recommend Jhal Chilli every time.

After trying lots of different Indian takeaways in Maidstone, this is the one we like ordering from the most.

Tried a few Indian takeaways since moving to Maidstone, but Jhal Chilli is the one we keep going back to. Everything we ordered was really tasty. I don't usually like sides like Bombay potatoes or Saag Aloo, but maybe I've never had good ones, because these were delicious. Definitely recommend.

The food is outstanding top notch can't fault it but ordered a curry a few weeks back got told by the delivery driver that they be charging me extra as its to far for them to deliver it's only 3 miles I accept this because there curry is fantastic got a curry delivered this Evening only for the driver to say that the shop will no longer accept my custom due to the distance of delivery which is exactly 3.4 miles away I live and work in a small business and recommend the curry house to all of my customers which I shall no longer be doing and I will taking my business else where

The food tasted fine, however the service was absolutely horrible - worst experience I've ever had! Delivery driver had no change (I paid in cash) and expected me to either tip him £10 or run to the shops to get change. Was very demanding, as I as a customer had to run down the shops. Delivery guy acted grumpy towards me after I returned, even though he was the one who didn't bring any change. Won't be ordering again.

High quality food. Great offers if you order direct. Friendly and fast service. Wont go anywhere else. Would highly recommend. My favourite has to be the honey glazed duck.

Ordered from here numerous times . I had mixed grill starter . For mains I had keema Nan and a chicken biriyani. Chicken was very tender and I had Tarka daal to go with it. It didn’t disappoint ! Really excellent food.

I don't live locally but decided to pay them a visit again after a great experience the first time around passing through.The staff were keen and eager in helping me to decide.I ordered their Jhal King Prawn Naga, Bombay Potato, Keema Rice and Peshwari Naan. A bit more than I can usually handle, but I thought I'd spoil myself !The food was mouthwateringly tasty, and I'd recommend this place without hesitation.I don't understand why people get the hump when receiving a text message. It's the customer that reaps the reward of a discount or promotion.Call them and get taken off the list or block the number - either is easily done.It doesn't warrant leaving bad reviews.

Had a take away from here. No complaints about the food but subsequently bombarded with marketing text messages. Asked them to stop but to no avail. This puts me off using them again. Shame.

Can’t beat a Jhal Chilli and football. The lads and I had a great night watching England beat Denmark. Another delicious delivery from here! Ordered on Saturday evening in the midst of the Euro football mania . Advised an hour and a half to deliver which we were fine with in view of the increase in demand; however they delivered before this time and included extras in the order. I didn’t fancy cooking for iftar meal as fasting so ordered takeaway. I got quarter tandoori chicken as starters with pilou rice and lamb dansak as mains accompanied with daal. All were excellent . Definitely my go to take away .

I came across this Indian Take-away quite by accident, whilst visiting a friend in Maidstone. Thought it would be nice to take some food over and eat indoors then going to the trouble of sitting in a restaurant during these uncertain times.There was an immediate welcome and warmth once I set foot into the shop. The staff were polite and helpful and eager to please.My eye was drawn to the unusual items on the menu - which you don't see elsewhere, so decided to order the 'Ostrich Shashlick' together with a portion of 'King Prawn Delight', 'King Prawn Biryani', 'Tarka Dhaal', 'Peshwari Naan' and Coconut Rice.It was a well enjoyed banquet and a treat for the taste buds.Highly recommend a visit.

We have been using a different Indian takeaway for years but was beginning to get a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. We started using Jhal Chilli a few weeks ago and we are really pleased with the ordering process, delivery and superb quality of their food. I can’t recommend them enough. When ordering, the website even allows you to choose a time for delivery and it has always turned up within 10 minutes of this time. If you are looking for a lovely Indian meal in Maidstone - I would highly recommend this restaurant.

❌AVOID......❌ ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, they called us 25mins after our order was placed only to be told we HAVE to collect if we want our food.. (40min drive there and back) Then upon arrival my husband witnessed the chef DROP some meat from a skewer on the floor, then pick it up and put it with the rest of the food on the chopping board. Then he did the same again..... But placed it in the takeaway tubs. Unbelievable. And they wondered why my husband said 'I've changed my mind you're going to give me a full refund' then walked out.

We wanted to try somewhere new as we have recently moved to the area and have been disappointed with other takeaways - but this was a winner! Will 100% return. Excellent food and service!

Had an excellent meal of lamb dupiaza which I’ve ordered before wirh plain rice , keema naan and also a mixed grill . Portions were generous and food was fantastic . Due to corona driver left food outside after knocking but had facemask an adhered to all guidelines . Same as usual . Will defo order again

It is the best in Maidstone, there’s no doubt. Moved around constantly with Indians in Maidstone, usually get a couple of good ones then a sudden drop off but not had that with Jhal at all and been ordering from here for a good year. Delivery drivers are really nice, food is outstanding, portions are generous. Cheers guys!

For over five years living in Maidstone we’ve struggled to find a consistently good Indian takeaway. We’ve ordered from this one twice now, and have not been disappointed. Food arrives quickly, piping hot, with a friendly delivery driver and very tasty. Each time there has been a little something extra in there too, which is a lovely surprise.Only criticism is the menu - I wish they would add descriptions and indicate the spice/heat level next to each option. We aren’t always sure exactly what we’re ordering and have to keep Googling curry names to try and work it out!Definitely recommend and we will be ordering from them again.

Only started using Jhal since the lock down, I have tried plenty of others, all good, but Jhal has consistently been the best. Easy to order and pay online, tonight requested for 8pm, arrived 8:08 and the food was excellent. Thanks Guys.

Ordered twice from here now, both times food arrived quickly and hot, customer service is good ,try the Jahl fry its very nice.

New years eve is understandably busy. We ordered our food at 6.30 and it got to us at half 9. Fine. its NYE. what wasn't fine is the wrong order was sent to us, my other half is vegetarian and we had to go without as the food sent had meat in the rice so she couldn't even eat the complimentary veg curry. Food is normally pretty good but won't use again in future unless we're compensated. Ill delete this review if we are looked after as customers. After all £40 for food is 5 hours of my life at work.

Wow!!!!Used to use another takeaway in Union Street for over 5years but the service level plummeted sadly.Tried these guys and wow the food is piping hot the delivery guy is pleasant and most importantly our dinner arrived promptly The food is fantastic right down to the napkin in the onion bargee box. Top flight guys you are are our new go to Indian.

We had a take away last night and have done a few time from this place and never had a bad meal. Last night was AMAZING! The prawns were HUGE and cooked to absolute perfection! The best prawns we’ve ever had from a take away! The lamb chops were tender, flavoursome and full of meat - all the food was piping hot, full of flavour, NOT oily or greasy at all and always get some freebies thrown in! You can’t fault this place at all great service, even better food and delivered within 45 minutes on a Saturday night. Thank you!

Tried for the first time on Friday evening for a family meal encouraged by the 20% first time discount. Arrived within the quoted time. Food was piping hot and every one of the six meal choices was deemed delicious. A little above our usual cost without the discount but you don’t get this quality for nothing and we’ll definitely use again.

I was going home After work an ordered a take away for collection . I ordered lamb dupiaza , some popodoms am rice with sheek kebab as starter. Sheek kebab was delicious an tender . The lamb dupiaza was amazing. First time I tried it an it had a sour tangy taste which complemented the meat. I would Defo order again .

We regularly order home delivery which is prompt, the food is piping hot and courteously delivered at a safe distance. We often get free food as part of our order, e.g., Bombay potato, onion Bargi, all of which are delicious. You cant go wrong the food is exquisite ! Would highly recommend to anyone !!

We were in Maidstone for a couple of nights and wow what a find this place was! The food was absolutely delicious with a menu full of new and exciting things mixed with old favourites making this takeaway perfect for all of us! The food was delivered in a timely manor and you could tell it was all cooked fresh and still piping hot. Particularly delicious was the honey glazed duck appetiser and the naan breads were hands down the tastiest I have ever had. My only complaint is that we live too far away to have this again anytime soon! Would definitely recommend
