Booked a table for a work night. And couldn't fault the service. Always offering drinks and checking in. Food was brilliant, not 1 complaint from a fussy group

Service was excellent! Food very very tasty all agreed!! It was packed so very obviously a favourite for many! We will definitely be eating there again! Bill was £50 pp including plenty of drinks! They even bothered to give my sister a little cake n candle for her birthday! Very lovely!!

Honestly, cannot rate this place high enough. Staff amazing and food on an another level. 😋 if you're passing Do not pass and stop off and have the best curry in the country.

Had a great time. The food was excellent, the waiting team were attentive and engaging but not overly so and the service was quick. The place isclearly very popular with a range of customers (couples and smaller and larger groups) and a good buzz.

Excellent food and service but the restaurant is far too noisy. The staff kindly moved us to a quieter corner but the noise level was still too high for comfort.

We celebrated our anniversary with my son and his wife - end of our meal we received a complimentary bottle of cava which was a lovely end to a fantastic service & meal, it was a really lovely night! Thankyou Shamrat excellent as usual xxxx

Absolutely incredible meal, the staff were all so friendly, and perhaps the best paneer shalshlik we’ve ever had.

We had a great experience. Unfortunately we were placed at a table next to a group of lads, so it was incredibly noisy. However we were re-seated and able to enjoy the meal and good company. Thank you

First visit based on recommendations from friends and it was excellent . The food was superb, as was the presentation and super attentive and friendly staff. Flavours were incredible and quality of ingredients shone through too. Will definitely return and thanks to the team for a wonderful evening.

Still and always has been the best curry in Maidstone. Great service, friendly staff, top quality food. Particularly recommend the Chicken Jal Masala, Lamb Shank, Chicken Shashlik, Lamb Shaslik, Sag Paneer, Onion Bhajis, Lamb Balti, Jinga Delight, Duck Salon.... Not that I have sampled all the menu over the last 30 years of going there!

The staff were friendly and went out of there way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and fresh. We all agreed that we would like to go again in the evening. Would recommend.

Visited Shamrat on a Friday night for my Wife's birthday. We were running late so I phoned to advise and the lady said it wasn't an issue. Aircon when we got there on a day that was 32⁰C outside was dreamy. The food and service was great, we're both vegetarian. Still the best curry out in Maidstone, so flavoursome. My wife said it was the best curry she's ever had!

Just good. This is what you want when eating Indian. Honest food, good staff, fair prices.

I feel I must, firstly, contextualise my service rating: I felt that the waiters (as affable and accommodating as they were) were far too fussing, in that they were constantly hovering and must have come into our alcove 20-30 times during the duration of our meal, just to see if any of our party had finished a plate for them to take away. In the main, you just want to have your meal without interruption and without having to constantly move out of the way of waiters clearing up around you (different members finish eating at different times, and so if you don't wait 'til EVERYBODY has finished, before clearing away dishes, that way, you avoid interrupting the meal several times). In addition to this, we were asked about about our wine glasses by 3 or 4 different waiters, who each seemed determined to take them away from us, despite us telling the original chap that we wish to keep them for wine for after we'd ordered. This all aside (as minor as it was) the service we received was otherwise excellent: the waiters were accommodating, personable and happy. Every single one of our party complimented the cuisine, for its flavour and quality (something that Shamrat is locally known for)...the quantity of meat was very generous too; napkins, menus and wine glasses were of that 'cut above' standard you would expect for such a fine dining establishment as this. Add to this, a fully stocked bar and a buzzing atmosphere, and 'Shamrat' has to be the best place to have a curry in Maidstone. p.s. I mean DUCK? How many places can you opt for duck curry?

Friendly welcome. Staff ready to help with making choices from the large number of dishes on menu including beef lamb, fish and prawn. Excellent main courses ranging from mild through to hot and spicy.Tried "Hariyali Jhinga" king prawns cooked in tandoor which was very enjoyable. A friend tried Lamb shank and thought it very good. All 4 of us had a great evening. Value for money. Going again soon!

Had a great evening with 3 friends who were visiting Maidstone for our annual golf. None of my pals had been to Shamrat before but all of them commented on the excellence of the food and the warmth of the welcome. Excellent evening - Maidstone’s best curry house!

Another fabulous curry at Shamrat, staff so friendly and welcoming. Food, as always, freshly cooked and hot. Shamrat is by far the best Indian restaurant and is certainly our go to. We also order takeaways and never disappointed

Absolutely spot on. Brilliant service, even though they are obviously very popular, they manage so well. Food was delicious, service was attentive and they even put a sparkler on the birthday cake for us.

10 out of 10. Lovely atmosphere, food and service. Perfect for going out for a meal in a group, all the dishes were great for sharing as curries come in large bowls. Most of the dishes were accompanied by a single portion of rice. We were given complimentary poppadoms to start which were accompanied by beautiful sauces, their special shamrat sauce being the most flavourful. After our main we were also given heated towels and complementary dessert chocolates. Overall very great experience, would definitely go again

We visited Shamrat for a celebration meal on a Monday evening. We were immediately shown to a table (we hadn't booked) and from that point we were treated so kindly by the wait staff. The food was excellent, with an impressive range of delicious dishes on offer. Particular highlights were the paneer masala and the excellent naan bread. The food was cooked and served with care, and I had a wonderful time - we will surely return, and I won't hesitate to share this place with family and friends when they visit Maidstone.

Just a delicious takeaway tonight. Thank you Shamrat. Beautifully cooked, the freshest little green salad and onion salad, popadoms, and bahjis. Our main meals were delicious, a good size, very tasty. Delivery was very speedy too.

Food was great and decent portion sizes. Staff very friendly. The place was full, every table being used, that alone tells you how good the place is. I don’t live anywhere near and was meeting friends but would happily travel all the way there again.

Great place for special evening out. Friendly staff and atmosphere.Helpful staff. Feel looked after throughout time there. Extensive menu. Presentation of dishes excellent. Very enjoyable, we tried dishes containing prawns but beef and lamb looked equally delicious. Wide choice of drinks including range of gins with a locally distilled one. Nearly all tables occupied all the time we were there. If you like Indian/ Bangladeshi cooking it’s well worth a visit. Would be surprised if you could do better anywhere in London

Well established restaurant on the Maidstone curry house scene. It's been here a long while for good reason - excellent service, very attentive but in no way intrusive. The standard of food is also great - well presented and very tasty. I did feel the food was pricey, but you do get an excellent all round dining experience.

Another return visit back to the best Indian in Maidstone and it didnt disappoint. We were a large group of 9 and our service was exceptional. No request was too big or too small for the amazing staff and the food was incredible as always!

We booked a table for my birthday last night and I was made to feel so special thanks to the lovely waiters. The food was fantastic as always and the waiters went above and beyond. They proceeded to bring out a dessert with a sparkler in after hearing it was my birthday as well as a drink for each of us at the end of the meal. I would not go anywhere else in Maidstone for a curry.

Kept waiting nearly half hour in overcrowded bar area without any acknowledgement from staff. Very poor service. Am shocked, used to be excellent there. Our group of 10 all said we wouldn't return. Only saving grace is that the food was excellent

Been in here many times, always a lovely welcome and am excellent service. We booked in on a Sunday afternoon last minute, our waiter Younus was absolutely great, dietary requirements were all taken and dishes were recommended. This place is top quality for food, service and atmosphere, definitely recommend.

We are regulars at the restaurant for both dining and takeaways and there is no Indian like it! It’s a clean fresh curry, 100% recommend. The service is amazing, always friendly and welcoming.

For a Wednesday evening in late January the restaurant was almost full. They had a table for two tucked in the corner. Great welcome and ambience. Super food and service. Highly recommended.

I ordered Lanb Biryani for collection, it came with veg curry and was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Really yummy with loads of flavours in it, meat nice and tender. I'll be ordering again 👌

Went back sat 16t Dec had not been for a couple of years but was well worth the visit .All 3 courses were excellent was very busy but the service was great and the staff made sure we was happy all night .Great food def going back in the near future !

I live in Scotland and came down to Maidstone for the night and saw the great reviews online for the Shamrat, so thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed! One of the best curries I have had in a very long time, service was quick and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back if in the area again
