Lovely staff and delicious seafood

We saw this place out of our hotel bedroom window. We walked around Brighton looking for somewhere to eat and found nothing that fascinated us as much as this place. From the outside it looks like a Dickensian curiosity shop. Inside is dimly lit and creates a great atmosphere. The food was great, nice wine list and the staff were so engaging but not in that “I’ve had training on how to deliver customer service” type of way. Worth looking for if you are in Brighton

Great menu. We all went for the vegetarian mezze which was fantastic, good choice and well cooked. Nice wine selection and a really good find.

This is a lovely unpretentious restaurant. Tasty home cooked food and very vegetarian friendly. Delightful service and reasonable prices. The house wine was also delicious but my absolute highlight was the warm baklava with ice cream, so good.

My Son and I have just had the most wonderful meal. The whole experience was excellent. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and very welcoming. Highly recommended

Perfect wedding reception-better than we could ever have hoped for. Andreana and Andy ensured that it was fantastic from the initial meeting to plan what we wanted, to the event itself. We met Andreana to discuss and plan the event. We chose Estia for our special day having always enjoyed amazing traditional Cypriot food here. The restaurant was beautifully presented with tablecloths, a good layout for family and friends as well as additional special touches including candles in candle sticks, personalised messages on the chalk boards and a really pretty layout for the cake table. As guests arrived there were glasses of fizz served and for those not drinking alcohol a non-alcoholic alternative. The food was amazing, mezze starters with Kleftiko main for most guests, individual needs were well provided for. Guests have commented that it was the best meal that they had ever been served at a wedding and are still talking about it! Everyone, including our photographer have said that they will return. That made us so happy. The ambience was further enhanced by the well selected background music. Andreana, Andy and the staff team did everything they could to make our day very special - huge thanks to all. If you are considering booking an event we unreservedly recommend Estia to you and look forward to many more meals there. Gareth and Mariea

This family run restaurant is a ‘must visit’ whenever we travel to Brighton. We enjoyed two consecutive dinner visits this month. On the Friday we enjoyed a meat maze and galaktoboureko for desert, washed down with a bottle of New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine. Everything was delicious and very good value One Saturday we enjoyed kalamari and dolmades for starters, followed by a traditional Kleftiko and Chicken souvlaki, followed once again with galaktoboureko and another bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Our hosts Andreana and Andy always make you so welcome. The restaurant , which is off a side street, is well worth a visit for authentic and delicious Greek cuisine, served well and for a good price. This was my girlfriend & I's 2nd visit to Estia, which we originally found via TripAdvisor's great reviews. They were correct & the food was delicious. The moussaka was divine & I simply love the "Estia" rice's taste. For starters we had some warm pitta bread served with 3 dips, which made for a great start to the meal. We were too stuffed for a dessert...maybe next time? The Keo beer was something I'd not tried before & was a good drink to have with the meal. The prices are lower than you'd find in most similar restaurants in Brighton. It's fairly small inside, but the service was decent & they were getting busy as we left. Recommended!

We found this place while away for the weekend in Brighton. They were able to accommodate our large group booking (10 people). Food was 10/10 and so was the service. Great little find, would highly recommend

We visited this restaurant for a meal as part of a hen do, and it was absolutely perfect! I had the vegan moussaka, which was amazing—one of the best I've ever had. Everyone in our group loved their food too; everything was delicious. The decor is so cute and really made us feel like we were on holiday. The staff were incredibly lovely and made our evening even more special. Highly recommend!

Been coming to Estia for years and just love it here - so welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic - cooked to perfection and wonderful flavours. Great place for a romantic meal or to catch up with a group of friends. If you haven’t been here before you need to visit! Highly recommend!

We had booked as a large group to go to this charming unassuming Greek restaurant. Everything was perfect. Wonderful warm friendly staff in a place that cooks just what you should expect. Excellent selection of starters. All the usual dips, tzatziki , dolmades etc with bread and meatballs on rice. Main courses were perfectly cooked. Its relatively simple but skillfully cooked food. Don't mess with the food . Sprinkled with love ! Its just how it should be. Well cooked delights served with a smile. Great value and honest decent wonderful food. Eat Greek food not Street food !!!

ESTIA catered for a family and friends gathering to celebrate my daughter's forthcoming wedding. The food was gorgeous and good portion sizes too. The service was excellent and very accommodating of my dietary changes. I wish we lived nearer so that we could visit more often. Thoroughly recommend.

Visited Estia with friends and it was lovely. This family run restaurant , small and intimate was completely full. Very nice menu with lots of veggie and meaty options. We had the fish meze and our friends the vegetarian meze, both delicious and generously portioned. It was also very well priced for central brighton. Will definitely go back!

My girlfriend & I were looking for a Greek restaurant in Brighton on TripAdvisor & Estia came up in the search. It's highly rated & the reviews were all very good, so we gave it a try.....this was a great idea! We ordered 6 small plates to share between us including the meat moussaka which was delicious & courgette & halloumi balls on some Estia rice which was heaven! Service was very good & the speed that the food came to us was perfect for our needs. Can't wait to go again & try some different dishes, or maybe have the same again? Recommended.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The food was fresh, flavourful and packed full of delicious Greek flavours!

Delicious food and very good value. We went on a Thursday night and wasn't busy. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back soon 🙂

Visited last night with some friends, a warm lovely atmosphere, and attentive friendly service. Have visited before and it was just as delicious. We shared some starters - highly recommend the mousakka and all of our mains were home cooked and authentic. Topped off with some limoncellos to finish. Great portions and value. Thanks again for a lovely meal, we’ll be back!

The most delicious mossaka in Brighton

Estia was one of the first places we ever discovered in Brighton, and it's been one of our most favourite restaurants in Brighton ever since. Family run, full of heart, warmth and absolutely delicious food, always. The highlights are the Greek salad, calamari, sheftalia, sea bream, kleftiko and stifado, and I often find myself struggling to pick one as I love them all! Andreana and Andy are delightful hosts and genuinely wonderful people, and the steady stream of loyal, returning customers is testament to the quality of their food, service and the overall dining experience that they offer. It is our home away from home, and one we will continue to return to as long as we can!

This is one of the nicest restaurants we have visited for sometime and........we have visited quite a few! Situated in a side street in the centre of Brighton parallel to the i360. Simple and tasteful decor with conducive lighting. The atmosphere was one of relaxation and calm simplicity. Typically Greek , didn't need to ' try too hard', just natural. Good traditional menu, well presented, ample portions and cooked to perfection. Be warned if you want to have the Baklava, don't over indulge on the starters/mains, you will have no room!! Good selection of drinks ( even Retsina!) at extremely good value. Lady who welcomed us very friendly and efficient but not at all Intrusive. Very impressed all-round.

I have to confess we didn't actually have a full blown supper. We began with the mese starter plate for two and worked our way gently through the delicious food - washed down with a bottle of the very passable house red. When we'd finished we really had no room for anything else which was a shame because it all looked wonderful. The staff were excellent and we will be going back.

We found this wonderful, friendly Cypriot restaurant some years ago. We always eat there whenever we visit Brighton. On our trip this month we were able to visit on two consecutive evenings. On both visits we loved the homely and well proportioned Greek food. We were made very welcome by Andreana on both days, as well as her lovely daughter on the second visit. The mixed maze starters for two got things off to a great start. We then enjoyed the beautifully prepared and served chicken souvlaki and the swordfish for our main course the first day, and kleftiko and again the chicken souvlaki on the second visit. A rare and special delight for us on both visits was the galaktoboureko dessert. This is one of our favourite desserts but is only rarely available on restaurant menus, as it is more commonly made by families for their own enjoyment. The dessert was delightfully moist and filling, with or without a serving of cream. On both days we choose a lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine from the wine list, which was refreshing and well priced. We look forward to our next visit!

This is a family run authentic Greek restaurant with food to die for. Lots of lovely freshly cooked traditional Greek dishes together with meze dishes with a great choice for everyone. Very reasonably priced and food is very tasty. Good for large parties but book to avoid disappointment. Will definitely be back.

Every time I eat at Estia I am never disappointed. The food is excellent and is always fresh, with a menu to suit everyone. The service is great with very friendly staff. I have a small appetite so usually take some food home with me; I have never been made to feel uncomfortable about this. The prices are competitive and they have a decent wine list. Don't hesitate - just go and try this place!

Just a really great Friday night dinner with friends in a pleasant atmosphere. The food was superb, delivered in a timely and friendly manner, at a reasonable price. Good food and good company. What more could you ask for on an evening out.

Estia is our go-to choice, it’s never let us down. It’s cosy and warm, with lovely lighting and the service is friendly and efficient. Greek-Cypriot food is delicious and really reasonable. We will keep going back.

Lovely family owned restaurant with amazinf homemade food. We went for dinner in a small group and shared the meze selections. Such a good range of food for a reasonable price - haloumi and courgette balls, whipped feta and moussaka in particular were to die for. Would recommend.

Great Family Celebration.. We enjoyed a mixture of small platter starters, the Greek sausage was really tasty as were all starters.. This was our 4th visit: if we are coming to Brighton we make a point of booking a table at Estia. Everything about the restaurant is fantastic, can't fault it . We'll be back, hopefully before too long.

This place is in a row house that’s been turned into one big room where every sound reverberates like the inside of a drum. So imagine what the noise is like when there’s a party of 10 women in the corner whooping it up. Excruciating....
