Great little Italian restaurant in the centre of town. The food is great, the service very good, unfortunately on the evening we went the restaurant was almost empty, so no atmosphere. But the staff were very attentive and pleasant and we enjoyed our evening.

Pleasant, very friendly restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our Coteletta and Pasta alla Nonna - sensible portion sizes, well cooked, and reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend and return.

I booked a table for 12.30pm on 10th September, received a reminder the day before. Unfortunately turned up with my friends, two with mobility issues, for a special meeting, and the restaurant was closed, no sign of life. I tried to phone for the call to be ended every time within a second. Very disappointed, don't waste your time!

Visited here for 60th birthday meal, and everything was top class. Food was outstanding, as were drinks. Service was brilliant. The guys help me set up birthday table, and keep and bring out surprise birthday cake. Nothing was too much. A perfect evening.

Went to treat my friend to a birthday lunch and it was a lovely experience with the best service. The food was delicious [ we had spaghetti marinara yum ] and the staff were really sweet and kind to us :) They asked about dietary requirements and made my food without alcohol; they also had halal meat options. Was so good I’m hoping to go for my own birthday God willing. Rossoitaliano has to be one of the prettiest restaurants we have in town and the lemon cannolis are to die for 😋 ~ massive thanks to the staff and I recommend x

Went there today for lunch with my wife , there are two tables outside and because it was a beautiful day and we had our dog we decided to sit outside. We had the meatballs for starters, absolutely delicious, could have eaten a whole plate of them , then we had a couple of pizzas. Again delicious, can’t fault this place , friendly staff and delicious food , only slight negative is that service was rather slow considering we were the only ones there but apart from that , I would definitely go again

Eastbourne has plenty of Italian restaurants and we fancied trying out one we'd not been to before. With a TripAdvisor rating placing it number 2 out of all Eastbourne restaurants, this place was an obvious choice. But having visited with the family - it's clear there's something wrong with the TripAdvisor score. The £8.95 king prawn starter consisted of just 2 prawns. The olives 'nibbles' was about 6 olives. The arancini were OK, but the goats cheese salad was pretty mediocre. Within the mains - the pizza base was tough and leathery, the Cotoletta (breadcrumbed chicken) coating was too thick and the chicken was dry, the Ravioli di Carne arrived looking like porridge in a bowl - too few ravioli (that did not look homemade) swimming in a wallpaper paste gloop over-flavoured with gorgonzola, Granchio - spaghetti with 2 king prawns, and the gluten free Tagliatelle ai Funghi emerged as penne, in a tasteless sauce that was inedible. We didn't try any desserts. I rarely do reviews - but felt it's my civic duty to review this place as our experience was a world away from what we expected given the TripAdvisor rating. And the problem wasn't with just one dish - it was across the board. My recommendation - steer well clear.

This restaurant does not warrant all the positive reviews, in fact I just checked to make sure we went to the right one, we did and it’s very poor. There is very little meat on the menu and the vegetarian options we tried were poor. As was the bottle of wine. But it was cheap.

Knew this restaurant had opened and was keen to try because the menu was not like the typical carbonara and Bolognese American Italian restaurants. The restaurant was not big but cosy and service was friendly. We didn't book but they gave us a nice table and we got stuck into a Main and a pizza to share. The pizza was one of the best I've had in Eastbourne and I had homemade ravioli which was light and tasty. We had coffee and cannoli to follow which were stuffed with pistachio. Overall, this restaurant is amazing value compared to the others in Eastbourne, and I will definitely go again.

I had a delicious solo lunch at Rossoitaliano Bistro today. Very central location, colourful rustic decor, a warm friendly welcome and tasty Italian food. Some less common choices on the menu and the owner has ambitious ideas for the future. I will come back.

Cannot tell, how greatfull me and my wife has been, both catering professionals, to find this hidden gem during our visit in Eastbourne. Just wanted to find an authentic, classic little Italian Restaurant for a romantic, healthy simple but brilliant meal. Just look for the feeling, "Surprise us!" Well, they did... Arrived last minute with two crazy Jack Russels, desperate for some quality service. Service was exceptional, food was made with quality ingredients, all fresh, nothing heated up nonsense. Long time ago I didn't feel like the "Eat for pleasure, not for quantity" joy. Absolutely amazing, fresh and fantastic food, with a brilliant service. Well done!

Gino is an excellent chef, providing excellent Italian food. Good portions. Vegan options. Nice atmosphere. Good location.

Such a friendly place with food to die for. Gino learned his trade in Naples and the menu offers authentically Italian food, freshly prepared. Anna and Marenna looked after the front of house perfectly. Prices very reasonable. Book. Eat. Enjoy!

My daughter ordered a salad starter which had far too much balsamic vinegar on it and the staff noticed that she wasn't eating it. They enquired if there was a problem and she explained about it. Without any hesitation the dish was removed and an alternative was provided. Very impressive service. Everyone else was suitably impressed with their food as was my daughter when her alternative starter arrived. Nice ambience when more people arrived. (We were quite early)

Nice relaxed Italian atmosphere with a good clear varied menu. The simple things are the best but if you want sophisticated they do that too. A breath of fresh air.

Came here for lunch and it was perfect! A steal on their lunch deal menu also. The lady who served us was very friendly and efficient. The food was really good, i didn't even stop to take pictures. We had an Arrabbiata and funghi e pollo penne, both very rich dishes with generous portions. We've been before and we will definitely be back!

My wife and I took our Grandchildren for lunch and were made so welcome. Lunch was perfect, I had the gnocchi with crab sauce, which I would highly recommend. Lovely staff and delicious food at extremely reasonable prices. Will definitely go again

Me and my wife had our wedding meal here at the beginning of January and were over joyed by the service and food provided (and also the more than fair prices) . The food and drinks were receiving compliments throughout by our whole group, and despite there being 20 of us, the food came out perfectly timed. Amazing choice for the kids too, they loved it. This is a testament to Gino and his wonderful team at the restaurant. We were and always will be regular visitors for the perfect and wide array of food options and for the always welcoming staff. I would urge everyone to visit Rossoitaliano and have the lovely experience that we have had many times over. Many thanks to Gino and the team for making our big day perfect.

The food is unbelievable, we shared a lot of staters between us and it was so good the food the quality the taste all exceptional! And the mains easily one of the best pizza’s I have ever had! They even gave my girlfriend chocolates and a card as it was her birthday! So amazing!

The food was good: pizzas were a great size and tasted lovely. The starters were nice, but the textures were a little off - the meatballs and arancini were very soft. However, the colours made us feel cosy and comfortable and the waitress was attentive, friendly and polite. 2 starters, 2 pizzas and 2 large glasses of wine - very good value for money. We would come back and try some more starters, but definitely get pizza again! Something to note is that it is not wheelchair accessible and does not have wheelchair accessible facilities.

We went to Rossitaliano on the recommendation of friends, and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent. It's not an extensive menu, but there was still plenty for us to choose from, including me (vegetarian with dietary issues...) Arancini balls, bruschetta, garlic bread all perfect....

Oh my goodness!! If you are looking for delicious, authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices with efficient, friendly service, then this just has to be the place for you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Fantastic!!

UNREAL!!! What a gem to have stumbled across! Was stopped outside by a staff member handing out 20% off Coupons … so we thought, why not! This is one of the best pizzas I remember ever having in my life! Even pre vegan! The fact then had a vegan section on the menu with so much choice was incredible.. We had pizzas, cheesy garlic bread and a dessert! Can’t recommend highly enough GO HERE ! It’s a little slice of heaven 🙃 Portion was excellent, service was lovely, and the food was absolutely shockingly amazing Will be hard not to return when next in Eastbourne!

Called in for lunch and tried the pepperoni GF pizza. Most chains give you a tiny pizza and charge the earth but this was full size, delicious and reasonably priced.

The only place I have been in Eastbourne for true authentic Italian food. Can’t recommended it enough, family run and so friendly. Food is out of this world, feel like I’m back in Milano.
