I've been a few times now to Cafe Velo and it's nearly a great place to come. I love the idea of the cafe, especially for stops in bike rides in the area. It's also great to have a dedicated space for parking bikes inside whilst you visit. Unfortunately I've found the food quite average and service slow. This week thought I'd like to order soup. The menu said to check options at the counter. The sign on the counter had several soups but to ask which were in stock. So, I asked which were in stock and got a very curt response to look at the sign. It's a hand written sign so why not just update it to avoid such awkward interactions? When it eventually came (I'm not sure what the delay was), the soup had two tiny pieces of bread and was really bland, not great for £6.50. I ended up smothering it in salt and pepper. I would have loved to have ordered a slice of cake but the ones in the case were lone slices, individually wrapped in cling film. This looked like the left overs of a load of cakes and really not appealing. I want this place to be great, and it really could be...

Visited Ringwood for the first time today. Saw the cafe and went in with my wife and daughter. The staff were just cleaning and we offered to leave. The owner (I assume) was incredibly inviting. Saying they were not closing and would cook anything for us. We only wanted a drink a panini which was amazing. We then googled the cafe and turned out they were just about to close when we entered (unbeknown to us). All of the staff were so friendly like nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely return (during opening hours this time). Thank you

Lovely little Cafe. Outside seating is in a little sun trap and away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Plentu of indoor seating. They have a room inside for leaving your bike whilst there if you wish to use it. The food we had was good quality and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Off the main street so initially may be difficult to find. Visited on Sunday mornings so far.

We waited nearly an hour for a breakfast and no one apologised, even when we asked for food. The portion was horrendous, so small for the price and the food was terrible. Soggy spinach, cold beans, cheap bread. Honestly don’t understand the good reviews, such a waste of nearly £30 and we only had two breakfasts.

I went to the Velo for breakfast a few months ago and it was amazing and the service was great even though it was very busy. However went on there today with a friend for breakfast and it was very disappointing to say the least. I had a Veggie breakfast. The rosti was tiny and was so rubbery that I couldn't even put my knife into it. I took it back and what came again obviously hadnt been fried but microwaved so was not eaten. So different from before and for £12 I'd be reluntant to go again and that's a shame.

We were staying in an uncatered hotel nearby and needed a vegan breakfast so headed here. We ate well and were delighted to be somewhere that mainstreams a vegan diet. We were impressed by the bike room concept (clearly much appreciated by the many cyclists in the café) and admired the several very well-behaved dogs. Altogether a good vibe.

I ordered a panni and waited patiently for about half an hour, I had an appointment in town that I had to get to so I went to the servery to ask that my lunch was put to one side for a little while. As soon as I started asking the owner I was greeted with a hurl of abuse including the f word. I know it's hot but don't take it out on paying customers! I took a refund and will not go back! Just off the high street in Ringwood, this cafe is a wonderful experience for those looking for a great lunch or breakfast. In addition to the breakfast standards, they offer healthy options and additions including avo, mushrooms and poached eggs. For those needing the carbs, the meals are sumptuous and there are tasty cakes available. We were staying nearby for the weekend and decided to drive into Ringwood for brunch with our 6 month old staffy puppy. We’d previously researched dog friendly cafes and this one got good reviews. Ringwood must be one of the most attractive town centre I’ve been to in a long time, it feels very cosy and homely. We found the cafe and an outside table no problem, service was excellent as was the food. Several visitors and staff made a fuss of the pup (it’s making her big headed!) and one of the serving staff asked if she could say hello and give her a treat which made Mabel super happy! The owner/manager very kindly asked us to return again as his staff loved our puppy which was a lovely touch. Everyone was very friendly, the food was fresh, nicely presented and quickly served. Lovely experience all round.

The last two years have involved us shielding due to being extremely vulnerable, which has meant rare outings for my wife and myself. On the rare occasions we go out, we have opted for Cafe Velo Date Morning (our name), enjoying a delicious fresh ingredients gorgeous breakfast. The food is great, staff are so friendly (a bit like the staff many of us enjoyed at our local pub for years) they have redesigned the layout making it really social distance friendly, with a closed off area for kids. We are spoilt in Ringwood with so many different eateries, but Cafe Velo is top notch. Tony/Trish

Been here a few times and this really is a gem that is worth visiting. Situated in Milford on Sea (near Lymington) on the South Coast, this independant bar offers a place to unwind, indulge or shop. A place to buy high-end spirits, wines and beers. A place to sit, unwind and indulge in cocktails, gins, wines and lager/beer. An extremely tasty tapas menu, served Monday through Saturday, sees many friends and family relaxing and catching up. Live music on a Sunday evening. Very much part of the local community and is involved with life in Milford's Village Green, especially in summer where you can sit on the green and enjoy a glass of something chilled. So climb onto the off-beaten track and enjoy. No disabled toilets but there are in the council run carpark (about a 1 minute walk).
