It was a very enjoyable experience !
This restaurant is managed by 2 parents and 2 daughters and uses family recipes from Nantes.
JP the very friendly owner explained to us the catch of the day and all the fresh arrivals on the menu. We chose oysters muscles charcuterie escargots for starters that were delicious followed by sea bass and finally the deserts were “la cerise sur le gâteau “ as we say in French.
If you want a sea food platter you need to order it.
We walked past Thai Shire a couple of weeks ago, and noticed through the window that it was very busy and that everyone seemed to be having a great time. We decided to give it a try this week. What a great call that was! It's small inside, but no matter. The service is super-friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. The quality of the food is superb, portions are generous, and the prices are fair. A genuine pleasure to eat here.

Used to really love coming here up until recently feel like the food quality has gone down and so has the customer service - ordered mild but they gave us food with sticker saying 'hot', and it was spicy, and that happened twice. When asked to confirm with the kitchen, the waitress said it must be spicy for us, and all she can do is add more garlic mayo to save it. It was horrible experience, we threw the whole food in the bin (felt bad for wasting food), and walked out of there. Really poor customer service.
EDIT: Sorry, your staffs didn't offer for any replacement. And the first incident was with the wrap, second time it was burger and wrap both. These are separate occasions. But I was bit hesitant to approach your counter from the previous experience as you guys are not willing to act professionally and take care of customer complaints. And rather than coming at paying customers who support your local business, please aim to do better.
Although a little on the pricey side, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. We recommend sitting in the outside area where on a sunny day they retract the roof. We've visited on a few occasions and always had a lovely experience.
In regard to the food and presentation this restaurant takes pride of place for us in the Worthing area. I had the fillet of beef, absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The service and genial banter with our hosts added to the charm of this delightful restaurant. We were lucky to get the window seat too. If there is a negative we would suggest there is a lack of "romantic" ambience, with quite bright lighting but if "fine dining" is the object of your desire, well look no further.
Absolutely love this place ,a true gem in Hythe the ambience is wonderful, ales are second to none from Potts to Abbot and everything is what you would want from a local pub …oh and the food THE best spring rolls ever steak pie and chips are amazing.love it
Stunning lunch at Fourth and Church yesterday! Five star, fine dining and top notch service.. with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Great value lunch set menu, nice portion size with gorgeous flavours! Our servers Ruby and Peter really knew their stuff! They were both so attentive and second guessed all our needs, offering great advice on wine and even offering a taster on one we’d commented on. They made our day! And the food was next level too. Chef’s kiss!
Well done on all your recent awards! Hugely deserved, we shall be back !!!
Excellent menu with delicious flavours, all tasting fresh and authentic from Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. Halal options also are available and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Head Chef and front of house are doing a great job.
